So, I'm not sure how I feel about Nicol Climate Control. On the one hand, the cost for the service was really reasonable $105; they were super professional, had great communication leading up to the visit and the technician was great - on time, knowledgeable, and fast. He was able to answer our numerous questions. Our only issue was that our air compressor needed to replace a part and they just happened to have that part in the car for $285. I looked up how much that part cost online and it was like $10. I called the company and the lady said that the parts online are cheap and you get what you pay for and they have the right ones. I asked the technician if the payment of $285 includes a warranty and he said no. We didn't like that. They did give us a Veteran's discount off our total, but I'm still not sure if we were ripped off. We opted to trust them because they are highly rated and they do the contracts for the city and the expensive houses so they do know what they are doing. Oh... and it took a while for them to send us our invoice to pay them... several hours after the work was done and the technician left. It's nice that they are on the honor system, but it was weird to feel like we didn't pay for services rendered for so long. I had to call and remind them to send us our invoice. We didn't even have a confirmation of the final total until then, but it eventually came and it matched what we talked about and agreed to exactly. read more

I will not refer this company. We had two new AC units installed in 2017. The main house unit at 3 years old needed a new coil, and with the warranty, still had to pay over $1400.00. Approximately a year later, another bad coil, in which they did replace at no charge. (Both times, there were emergencies, where they couldn't get my repairs done for over a week each time. (Pre-Covid as well!) Also, when replacing the new coil, discovered our line set had a leak. It turns out, it was run under the slab and Dana said the new line, had to be run over the house (two stories) and down thru the roof to the Coil, and did not need (HOA) approval. We had a contractor come in and access our ceiling and tresses to run the lines thru the ceiling inside the home, and avoid going thru the Homeowners Association, also better efficiency then going up two stories. When I called to set up the appointment for Nicol to come run the line and have AC again, secretary "Sue" was quite put out when I called several times, each time, saying that Dana was in meetings and would call me back. Then one more phone call from the co-owner asking Dana to call him as well. It's now past two weeks with no return call from Dana, and we were told that they would cover the approximate $500.00 cost for the Freon replacement upon repair of the lines. It is really disappointing to see Dana's "nice guy" persona, change to, lacking in Customer Service and integrity. I know I will highly discourage my clients from using this company, I believe we were sold a bad unit and Nicol Climate Control does not want to be held accountable for doing so. read more

NCC was recommended to me by a friend. Jurvon was at my home in an hour! He communicated with me about my unit and took the time to explain. Turns out I had been taken advantage of by prior HVAC companies who installed sub par parts, coil/condenser and also had tried to convince me I needed to buy a complete new unit. In the past 7 yrs. 5 different companies have come to my home, each tech trying to convince me I needed a new A/C unit. I have always dreaded having an a/c company come out because it was always bad news and a sell of a new unit. Not today. Jurvon immediately began cleaning then testing the unit. It was running fine but needed a part replaced that was sub par. I appreciate his work ethic and willingness to spend time explaining. My mini split unit was making a slight irritating noise. I called Nicol Climate Conteol who originally installed my mini splits. They came out. The technician looked at it said it needed to be cleaned. I have been servicing it myself, changing the filters after one year of use and cleaning them quite frequently, the technician took off the face of the mini split and used water hose pressure to clean it which in researching I discovered water, high water pressure was not to be used on YouTube, and with the company after that, the unit started making a horrendous noise they came out again and said the motor was burnt was damage and had to be replaced or option was $4400 to replace the unit $2300 for a new head $2200 for putting in the head that I would provide. I had an engineer and HVAC license certified person come out between the two of them they found out that one of the blades had been broken due to the high pressure water used to clean the unit which was not clean and I have some lovely photos to show that I had to replace the unit Mr. Nicol stated that he only used the best mechanics and they did qualified work when they went to replace my unit. The installers had ran wiring under my house on the ground. The connections were not correct. I have some lovely photos that shows this beware of this company they talk a good game about how good they are but the reality is there not, and it cost me a lot of money. He stated his technicians did quality work and or well trained, and he was not responsible for the damage or anything to do with my mini split. read more

I got my whole HVAC replaced by Dana and his crew back in April. My old system was around 15 years old and the ducts in the attic were falling apart so the AC was working overtime to compensate. Here we are 3 months later and I checked my SCE account and it says that I am using 66% less energy than last year at this time!!! And that's just with a basic 14 SEER model! These guys are the best! Very professional, on time and clean up after themselves when they are done working. They are not the cheapest but I have learned many times living in the desert that you get what you pay for. If you live in the desert you know how much it sucks to have your air conditioner breakdown in the Middle of summer, especially when there's a heat wave Of 114-117°!! It's Saturday night and my air conditioner breaks down needless to say it wasn't fun trying to sleep when your house is close to 90°. So the following morning I got on Yelp and starting looking for air conditioner company's. I started looking at many companies and some had good reviews and bad reviews. I started reading one review that explained how "Nicol Climate control" fixed a hack job the previous AC company did. so I was curious and went to their page and saw all the good reviews they had! called them up to schedule an appointment, their reception Liz was very helpful and friendly. I Asked if I could get a technician that was bilingual and she said no problem. Javier the tech was very polite a professional to my mother, best of all he fix my air conditioner in less than half an hour. They are incredible. My AC stopped working so I called a company that I recognized from a billboard. They went into my attic and said my furnace was fried and even showed me a picture on his cell phone that he took showing a burn on the motherboard. I was quoted 9k to replace my system so I figured I would call NC just to see if I could get a better quote on the replacement of my system. When they arrived I explained what the last people found. After NC got down from my attic they told me that the motherboard was fine and I was actually being scammed. They fixed the problem for a few hundred dollars by replacing a part that burned out. They easily could of agreed with the first people and I would of used them to replace it cuz Will was so friendly. Their honestly saved me 11k!!!!! I will never use anyone else!!! read more
