Extremely professional, honest, great communication and reliable. Highly recommend - thank you team Nicol!

So, I'm not sure how I feel about Nicol Climate Control. On the one hand, the cost for the service was really reasonable $105; they were super professional, had great communication leading up to the visit and the technician was great - on time, knowledgeable, and fast. He was able to answer our numerous questions. Our only issue was that our air compressor needed to replace a part and they just happened to have that part in the car for $285. I looked up how much that part cost online and it was like $10. I called the company and the lady said that the parts online are cheap and you get what you pay for and they have the right ones. I asked the technician if the payment of $285 includes a warranty and he said no. We didn't like that. They did give us a Veteran's discount off our total, but I'm still not sure if we were ripped off. We opted to trust them because they are highly rated and they do the contracts for the city and the expensive houses so they do know what they are doing. Oh... and it took a while for them to send us our invoice to pay them... several hours after the work was done and the technician left. It's nice that they are on the honor system, but it was weird to feel like we didn't pay for services rendered for so long. I had to call and remind them to send us our invoice. We didn't even have a confirmation of the final total until then, but it eventually came and it matched what we talked about and agreed to exactly. read more

What I like about Nicole Climate over the years has been their consistent excellent service folks such as Gervon, TJ, & Gigi. They are prompt with responding, and when they do provide service they skillfully and efficiently resolve potential issues. They all are very friendly and go the extra mile if need be. Dana, the owner has always been competitively fair in pricing when it comes to Mini Split and/or HVAC replacement. They install good valued quality products. They are one of the BEST! The team here at Nicol, always go over and beyond! The whole company is extremely professional and dedicated to a positive customer experience. Jourvon seems to be our primary technician coming by to do the work here at the house. He knows the systems and what we have done over the years on all of the units. He is a hard worker and doesn't leave anything unturned. He makes sure every detail is checked twice ensuring your system is working properly. Couldn't be happier!!! read more

My Air Conditioner failed and I needed immediate help. Nicol Climate Control techs Tahari and Jourvon provided outstanding service during several of the hottest days of the year in Palm Springs. It was a major repair that included replacing the Control Panel of my Air Conditioner. They were extremely responsive. I appreciate the fact they were conscientious, professional and knowledgeable, I give them 5 stars and highly recommend Nicol Climate Control. read more

Huge shout out to Nicol Climate Control for their outstanding service and installation of our new furnace/air conditioning system and the added blown in insulation in the attic space. Fantastic work, efficient, amazing crew and no mess left behind! Highly recommend Dana and his team! read more

I will not refer this company. We had two new AC units installed in 2017. The main house unit at 3 years old needed a new coil, and with the warranty, still had to pay over $1400.00. Approximately a year later, another bad coil, in which they did replace at no charge. (Both times, there were emergencies, where they couldn't get my repairs done for over a week each time. (Pre-Covid as well!) Also, when replacing the new coil, discovered our line set had a leak. It turns out, it was run under the slab and Dana said the new line, had to be run over the house (two stories) and down thru the roof to the Coil, and did not need (HOA) approval. We had a contractor come in and access our ceiling and tresses to run the lines thru the ceiling inside the home, and avoid going thru the Homeowners Association, also better efficiency then going up two stories. When I called to set up the appointment for Nicol to come run the line and have AC again, secretary "Sue" was quite put out when I called several times, each time, saying that Dana was in meetings and would call me back. Then one more phone call from the co-owner asking Dana to call him as well. It's now past two weeks with no return call from Dana, and we were told that they would cover the approximate $500.00 cost for the Freon replacement upon repair of the lines. It is really disappointing to see Dana's "nice guy" persona, change to, lacking in Customer Service and integrity. I know I will highly discourage my clients from using this company, I believe we were sold a bad unit and Nicol Climate Control does not want to be held accountable for doing so. read more

NCC was recommended to me by a friend. Jurvon was at my home in an hour! He communicated with me about my unit and took the time to explain. Turns out I had been taken advantage of by prior HVAC companies who installed sub par parts, coil/condenser and also had tried to convince me I needed to buy a complete new unit. In the past 7 yrs. 5 different companies have come to my home, each tech trying to convince me I needed a new A/C unit. I have always dreaded having an a/c company come out because it was always bad news and a sell of a new unit. Not today. Jurvon immediately began cleaning then testing the unit. It was running fine but needed a part replaced that was sub par. I appreciate his work ethic and willingness to spend time explaining. This company is honest and upfront just as the reviews on Yelp say. If you are looking for a company that will tell you the truth and not take advantage of you, NICOL Climate Control is it. So grateful to Lou who recommended NCC. Thank you NCC. You are now the company I will be calling, thankful to finally find an honest company with awesome employees!! read more

I want to put in a good word for Gigi, the representative of Nicol Climate Control with whom I have been dealing. In our first conversation, she mentioned that she was new to Nicol Climate Control, but you'd never know it in speaking with her. She scheduled a NEXT DAY appointment for me, has followed up, and is a pleasure to speak with on the phone. I so appreciate the fast and excellent service I have received so far. I want Gigi to be acknowledged for her great customer service! read more

My mini split unit was making a slight irritating noise. I called Nicol Climate Conteol who originally installed my mini splits. They came out. The technician looked at it said it needed to be cleaned. I have been servicing it myself, changing the filters after one year of use and cleaning them quite frequently, the technician took off the face of the mini split and used water hose pressure to clean it which in researching I discovered water, high water pressure was not to be used on YouTube, and with the company after that, the unit started making a horrendous noise they came out again and said the motor was burnt was damage and had to be replaced or option was $4400 to replace the unit $2300 for a new head $2200 for putting in the head that I would provide. I had an engineer and HVAC license certified person come out between the two of them they found out that one of the blades had been broken due to the high pressure water used to clean the unit which was not clean and I have some lovely photos to show that I had to replace the unit Mr. Nicol stated that he only used the best mechanics and they did qualified work when they went to replace my unit. The installers had ran wiring under my house on the ground. The connections were not correct. I have some lovely photos that shows this beware of this company they talk a good game about how good they are but the reality is there not, and it cost me a lot of money. He stated his technicians did quality work and or well trained, and he was not responsible for the damage or anything to do with my mini split. read more

Dana came to do an estimate and he was really friendly and helpful. He answered all of my questions. A week later the team came by to install a mini split unit in my garage and I'm very happy with their work! read more

I needed to add a mini split to my home to deal with the summer months. Dana came out and bid the job at the price I could handle. I was a little worried because I am old and immunocompromised and haven't had anyone in my house since the virus started. Dana's workers showed up exactly at the time promised, clean, and masked. They worked carefully and finished right when they said they would. Left my house clean, and hauled away their own trash. I would recommend Nicol Air to anyone needed a good company. read more

These guys are the best. I just switched over from central air to a system of mini splits to heat and cool my desert house. Dana Nicol came over and sat down with me as we discussed the possibilities and plotted the job out. It was a big job that had a lot of moving parts, but Nicol stepped up and everyone did an amazing job. The workmen were all professionals, they did great work and even cleaned up after themselves. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. read more

These people are real pros!! A sweet lady named Tatum got the ball rolling and within a short period of time Jose and Ashton arrived at our doorstep! And, this was on a 111° day!!! These guys were very knowledgeable, extremely hard working, industrious, ethical and considerate. They remedied every problem and ensured that our AC was working perfectly before they left. We were SO impressed!!! I highly recommend the Nicol group!!!! read more

I got my whole HVAC replaced by Dana and his crew back in April. My old system was around 15 years old and the ducts in the attic were falling apart so the AC was working overtime to compensate. Here we are 3 months later and I checked my SCE account and it says that I am using 66% less energy than last year at this time!!! And that's just with a basic 14 SEER model! These guys are the best! Very professional, on time and clean up after themselves when they are done working. They are not the cheapest but I have learned many times living in the desert that you get what you pay for. I had a couple of cheaper quotes but one did not have a business license and the other wouldn't accept AMEX. It's unfortunate that I won't need to use Nicol again for another decade. read more

We moved to Palm Springs two years ago and engaged Nicol Climate Control to handle a some large projects, ranging from new HVAC and installation, complete circuit breaker box repair, water heater and installation, to solving for major water drainage issues (on an emergency basis). We have been completely satisfied with Nicol Climate and the professional, courteous and capable team led by Dana Nicol, the company's owner. He is candid and consistently responsive to routine and emergency service calls, periodically checks in on progress made, and ensures that the work is done right. Very customer focused. Based on our current and past experiences with Nicol Climate Control, we will continue to call on them and --- highly recommend them. read more

These guys are the best. During this corona virus pandemic they arrived at my house and two rentals I own to do regular spring service dressed in total PPE garb...head to toe. This is an essential service in the desert because we can't live without functioning AC . Thanks Nicol for the safe service. read more

If you live in the desert you know how much it sucks to have your air conditioner breakdown in the Middle of summer, especially when there's a heat wave Of 114-117°!! It's Saturday night and my air conditioner breaks down needless to say it wasn't fun trying to sleep when your house is close to 90°. So the following morning I got on Yelp and starting looking for air conditioner company's. I started looking at many companies and some had good reviews and bad reviews. I started reading one review that explained how "Nicol Climate control" fixed a hack job the previous AC company did. so I was curious and went to their page and saw all the good reviews they had! called them up to schedule an appointment, their reception Liz was very helpful and friendly. I Asked if I could get a technician that was bilingual and she said no problem. Javier the tech was very polite a professional to my mother, best of all he fix my air conditioner in less than half an hour. He explain to me exactly what happened and what he did to fix it and was nice enough to help my mother replace our air filter. I'm very happy with their work and highly recommend them! read more

This company is the best! Jourvon was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. He fixed our systems to work better than it has in years! We had multiple problems with 2 other companies that tried to diagnosis unnecessary work which would have cost us $2500-$3000. Paloma only changed is $635 and the problem had nothing to do with what the other 2 companies claimed! We were so saddened to find such dishonest service out there but Nichol Climate Control renewed our trust. We now won't call anyone else for service! Thank you Jourvon for taking such good care of us!! We found a company we can trust!! read more

I have been a client of Nicol for more than a year and am impressed with every service call. Their pricing is very competitive but the value is in their honesty and consistent service. We have a commercial account and they always make me feel like I'm the most important and only client on the list whenever I call, whatever the issue. read more

My Heat & Ac unit went out. I had the big known companies come out - Esser and George Brazil. Neither impressed me with knowledge or professionalism. Then I was given Nicol's name. Will came out that day, talked and gave me a 25% better price that Esser or Brazil and they installed the next day. Stormy did a follow-up after it was done. These folks were awesome. Don't be suckered by ads, go with someone who knows their business and gives you a great deal. I will be recommending Nicol to all my friends. read more

Friends recommended Nicol Climate Control. They responded immediately to my call and sent their technician Jourvon over to check our AC. He was professional, friendly and efficient, identified the problems and made an appointment to come back the next morning with parts. Next morning the office phoned to let me know he'd be an hour late, he arrived with everything he needed and completed the repairs quickly. Excellent service. We're signing a maintenance agreement with them to keep our system tuned up. read more

The bomb! This company is incredible. The gents that did the work were amazing! Fantastic pricing, kind, attentive, knowledgeable, sharp, fast and efficient and had a sense of humor too! I had my entire system replaced; had a collapsed ceiling from a drip in the system. They arrived at 830AM and were done and out by 1PM. I truly can't say how easy they made this for me. I hardly ever leave reviews but I had to this time. THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!! Thank you Nicols! read more

They are incredible. My AC stopped working so I called a company that I recognized from a billboard. They went into my attic and said my furnace was fried and even showed me a picture on his cell phone that he took showing a burn on the motherboard. I was quoted 9k to replace my system so I figured I would call NC just to see if I could get a better quote on the replacement of my system. When they arrived I explained what the last people found. After NC got down from my attic they told me that the motherboard was fine and I was actually being scammed. They fixed the problem for a few hundred dollars by replacing a part that burned out. They easily could of agreed with the first people and I would of used them to replace it cuz Will was so friendly. Their honestly saved me 11k!!!!! I will never use anyone else!!! read more

Terrible communicators. They were supposed to arrive between 12-2 and never showed or called! Waste of my time!

Will and the crew at Nicol Climate Control as the best. If you own a home in the desert you know how important a good working air conditioning is. They are very professional, hard working and most importantly honest. Highly recommended for any residential A/C needs. read more
