Nick was very professional and reasonable when it comes to pricing. I was a bit hesitant in the beginning but He did an excellent job. Definitely hitting you up for any of my plumbing needs. Cheers read more

Long due for a review. Living in an old house with other roommates, I keep encountering issues left and right with plumbing. From toilets leaking to the water heater breaking, the past few months have been unbearably stressful for me. I was already scrunching the numbers in my head as I dreaded the idea of having to pay thousands of dollars to have to deal with repairs. My first few attempts at contacting plumbers around the area fell flat; most of them didn't respond, charged ridiculously exorbitant prices, or never even arrived. Then I contacted Nick, and I swear he makes things so much more bearable. He's down-to-earth, professional, honest, and really goes out of his way to explain the issue in detail. Every question I had, he answered - something I really appreciate since I want to be able to prevent more stuff from occurring. He tells me how much it will be so I can mentally prepare myself for the upcoming bill, and the prices are surprisingly not too bad. He's also extremely punctual, unlike a lot of other people I've contacted; if he says he'll be there at 8:00 AM, he IS going to come - prepared. I'm extremely happy and grateful towards him, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to get something fixed, and fast. Thanks again, Nick! read more

Nick showed up exactly when he said was going to. He gave me his rates in advance and then when there were extra parts I needed, he told me upfront what those fees would be. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. read more

Update on 12/02 : response to Nick's comments. Nick, I choose if I should post a review or not about the service I received. I don't need any advice out there. You are again stating the wrong info here.. The parts you got us costed only around 50 to 60$, not 90.Are you ready to send me the receipt for 90$...? And you charge 50$ for going to store..? when did you mention that ..? You also charge for parking ..? what about toll..? You are not just rude you are also fraud and its my duty to make people aware of your fraudulence business. Your visit costed me 300$ without a single bit of help and thats the fact. read more

Nick did an excellent job replacing my kitchen faucet, adding a new garbage disposal and fixing a plugged drain in the Kitchen sink. Nick is very dedicated and a hard worker. He didn't leave until he was satisfied that the job was completed and working to perfection. Cost was very reasonable for the time spent on the job. Highly recommend and will call back in the future. read more

After a string of plumbing issues and trying to contact plumbers who either did not show up or didn't respond, we found Nick. My search for reliable, honest and fair service is over. He's super professional, responsive and an overall nice guy. Highly recommend. read more

Look at all the 1 star reviews and you will find common issues: A. Rudeness B. Unprofessionalism. As for my experience: rudeness X 1 ; unprofessional X 1 Here is how Nick earned them: 1. Most handymen offer free estimates. Nick asks for $50. Even a license plumber wouldn't ask for $50. Who does he think he should put a burden on the consumers? 2. Nick would insist that you get everything ready upon his arrival and also charge you additional fees to pick up the parts. So just you are aware: Everything has a charge with Nick. 3. As a landlord, we are running a business too. All deductions require a receipt. Nick would quick to hold consumers accountable for all their actions. However, after the job was completed, Nick was not prepared to provide a receipt. We asked for a temporary one by writing on a piece of paper. Nick promised to issue an official receipt later and it was never issued. When we followed up with Nick, he gave us all kinds of hard time and excuses. At the end, no formal receipt was emailed to us as promised by him. I waited for 5 days before writing this review and I checked spam mails. As a legitimate business owner, If you open a business and compensated for your work, you should issue a receipt for your customers. Btw, Nick is no longer working on Sundays as indicated in the prior reviews. Overall, our experience with Nick is that he is very hard to deal with and very self serving with very little regards to his customers! Will we recommend him? Absolutely NOT!!! Follow up on Nick's response: I am amused about how far you could go to lie about so many facts. Based upon your current 3 and half stars rating, there are more than 30% of customers have concerns about how you operate and how you treat customers. Again, customer be aware!!! No recommendations for your bad attitude :-( read more

Nick's Quick Fix - Text messages to request for receipts - Plumbing Near Me - Newark, California

Scheduled an appointment based on the good reviews here. HOWEVER, Not a good experience overall. Don't know why others are giving high reviews. Maybe he is treating new customers differently? I needed two ceiling lights installed and change remote for a ceiling fan. Nick charged $200 for installing and 100 for diagnosis. First I think this is high compared to others. Additionally, He said one of my wire is not working, and said he cannot fix it without opening the wall. But one of the wire is actually working! (I checked this the day before and told him that myself). I am not sure if he just doesn't want to spend too much time on me or he is not capable of figuring it out. So if I didn't check it myself , I would be tricked. This is what I cannot tolerate no matter what. There is one good thing. It's same day schedule, but I don't think it's worth it considering the risks. I would not recommend him to anyone. read more

3 star for great service and not so great price. My gas water heater could not be lighted. Nick was able to come over at the same day, explained his diagnose clearly and changed thermocouple very quickly. Excellent job! I don't know the market price for changing thermocouple. I was charged $225 for that. I feel like it's over-priced, but I maybe wrong. Just FYI for other customers. read more

I don't know if I caught him on an off day. He quoted $70 for fixing a clogged toilet bowl on the phone. When he got to my place, he said it'll be a 100. We agreed on $70 (Yelp has a deal listed $50 for $60 for this business). He fixed the clog in no time, which is great. I did not have change to pay him, I only had 20s. So he offered to tighten the toilet seat for $10. I asked him if he could do the rest of the toilet seats as well. At this point he should have mentioned that it would cost more. Once he was done he says it was $10 for each toilet seat. That is a ripoff! Also, he should have made it clear that he would charge $10 per seat before doing the job. As I said earlier, I may have caught him on an off day (given the other glowing reviews he has). But, he sure tried to nickel and dime me, and that is not very professional. read more

Unlike most handymen, Nick does the following: 1) Responds promptly to voicemails / texts 2) States a price for the work after asking relevant questions 3) Does not take the job if he if is not confident of the results 4) Shows up on time 5) Does the work and tests it thoroughly before leaving 6) Provides written invoices promptly If you don't understand why this is 5 star service you likely haven't tried hiring a handyman in the Bay Area. I asked Nick to switch out a ceiling fan with a new fixture. It took about 2 hours of work and cost $120. If you want somebody to do it real cheap with no assurances or receipts you can always swing by Home Depot and take your chances, but I like supporting actual businesses. read more

Nick came by to replace a broken kitchen sink faucet. He was quick, prompt, and courteous. His rates were very reasonable as well. I have no complaints and we would recommend him for all handyman needs. A+ read more

We had a broken valve underneath our bathroom sink that needed fixing and a faucet that needed to be replaced. I called Nick and he was prompt, professional, and gave us a fair estimate for his labor. He arrived when he said he would and was courteous and got the job done quickly. We are so glad we found a handyman in the area that we can call on. We will call him again and would recommend him to anyone who needs work done. Thanks Nick read more

Nick did an awesome job of replacing two toilets for me. He offers very good prices and is immediate in response and execution. He worked with me and my tenants in a very orderly manner, calling me to update me on every step of the process. I was able to order the toilets for pickup at a Home Depot local to Nick and he went to pick them up. Would highly recommend. read more

Very rude & unprofessional. Avoid him if you can. I'll never recommend anyone to hire him for any job. read more

I was afraid of contacting a plumber in fear of being up charged on the spot, but Nick was very professional. He quotes you, gives you fair warning of price changing if another problem arises, and ensures you understand this before moving forward. He found the issue right away and completed the task as quickly as possible. He left no mess, was respectful, and followed covid-19 procedures. If you need a handy man Nick is the way to go! read more

Reasonable price. Was able to come in short notice. Gave good advice on whom to contact to fix the sewer drain issue.

Nick has done an excellent job at our new home today and we are very happy! He changed the shower head, install bidet toilet seat, mount the 43" TV on the wall, and put the entry cabinet up, all done within 3 hours. Nick is soft-spoken, super polite and friendly, communicates well, lays all costs up front with honesty and no hidden charges. He took off his shoes when entering our home. I came from Asia and am used to fast response on top of quality service, Nick called me on the same day I posted inquiries on Google. Can't say the same about other handymen. We will definitely book him again for other home improvement projects. read more

Nick was really fast with responses, and his quotes were among the best. Due to circumstances I was not able to proceed but wanted to recognize his quick responses. I would certainly consider Nick for different works that will have to be done later time. read more

I scheduled handymen service with Nick twice. Both times he never showed up. The first time he was delayed by other work. When I tried to reschedule the service, he never contacted me back. The second time I even called him to remind the appointment on the day, never contact me back. Not even a message or phone call. Ended up sitting in the house, waiting for him the entire afternoon. Still have not heard back from him, not even a sorry. You don't ditch customer like this. NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Our old water heater recently broke down and we needed to find someone to install it ASAP as it was leaking much water. Searched for a local Handyman in Newark, Fremont and Union City area and Nick came up with great reviews. He came to our home, gave us a quote and off to work he went. He did not cut any corners which I respect. He understands the value of quality work. He also guarantees his work! read more

Nick's Quick Fix - Before and after of our water heater - Plumbing Near Me - Newark, California

I had a problem with my sink and needed a plumber. Luckily I found Nick's Quick Fix online . I called the number 510 402-8153 and was greeted with Nick. He told me, since it was an emergency he could come over quickly and fix the problem. He fixed the leak and the clogged drain. He gave me an estimate that I agreed with and fixed it in fast and efficiently. If you need a quick fix, this is your guy. I would definitely recommend you call this number when in need. read more

Didn't work out great for me but Nick was a nice guy and very honest. Just had some equipment issues and was unable to resolve my issue.

Contacted Nick to fix or replace a garbage disposal, and he came by the same day. He was extremely professional, and he gave us options about either repairing or replacing the disposal and was extremely upfront before any work was done. The job ended up being cheaper than we anticipated! He also helped with a faucet issue we had in our patio for free and explained a dishwasher issue that we have had. It's so wonderful to find a local, friendly, honest plumber!! We are extremely relieved to have found Nick and will definitely call him the next time we have an issue! read more

Nick is very good at his job. He did an assembly of a new table and chair for me in less than two hours for both (out of the box). Work was very professionally done. Nick brought all his tools, and totally impressed with the quality of his work. Nick is quick at fixing things, and his business name says it all perfectly. Highly recommend !!! read more

Had a clogged kitchen sink. Nick came out, and resolved the issue within 30 minutes (had to run a 30-foot snake). He paid a lot of attention to detail and was very easy to work with. Honest and straightforward. Thanks Nick!! read more

A total waste of time. Terrible experience. Avoid if you can. I first scheduled an appointment with him. He showed up 2 hours late and charged me $50 for diagnosis. We then scheduled another appointment one week later for the actual fix. It was 30 minutes after our scheduled time and I called him, he said he couldn't come and asked to reschedule. So instead of him telling me ahead of time, I had to take time off work, wait at home and call him just to know that he couldn't come. But anyway we rescheduled to the following week. This time he not only didn't show up, but also didn't reply to my texts, or answer my phone calls, or call me back. So overall it was a terrible experience, and a wast of time, and I lost $50 for nothing, plus now I need to look for another handyman. read more

Only thing I can say is he answered his phone. So gave this business 1 star. Aside from that Nick asked me to send him some pics and he would get back to me that same day, didn't happen. Texted him back next day to follow up and no response at all. I figured he might not be interested or his busy. read more

Nick did an excellent job repairing my down stair closet that had been damaged due to a water leak. He held to his initial quote and did the work with a smile. Him and Joel were very clean and made my closet look better than even before. I would highly recommend Nick and team for any drywall repair. read more

Nick was outstanding. He fixed my clogged drain very quickly. He is also very nice with great prices. I'll definitely will be using him again if needed. read more

I have an overflowing toilet. He scheduled a time with me to come and fix it (6pm on Wednesday). I sent him the pictures he asked for. He didn't show to the appointment and then didn't respond to my text. When I texted him again he said he was now booked for the next 2 weeks. Obviously Nick's Quick Fix has the professionalism of a 14 year old.... All they did was waste my time and consequently a lot of water as the issue wasn't resolved. read more

I gave Nick's Quick Fix a call on a Sunday and asked for some minor work to be done; drywall repair and some recaulking. He said he could make it on Tuesday at 12 and gave me a quote as well. I was at the site early, gave him a call after about fifteen minutes to confirm that he was indeed coming. He said he would be an hour late. I was pretty confident that he would make it since he has such stellar yelp reviews. At 1:30 I gave him another call and he said he would be there by 3pm. I wasn't too confident at this point but nonetheless I waited for him to show up. He never showed up. I gave him a couple more calls after that and he never picked up. read more

Three words - Incompetent, Unprofessional & Greedy. This is for work done roughly a month ago and I wanted to cool off before I review, to make sure I am being objective. We took a quote from him to do a few fairly simple tasks... screw in some window shades, floating book rack and baby gate. We agreed on a price and time to get it done. He shows up two hours early, generally not a problem but it was a working day and I was supposed to get baby gates before he comes. So they never got fixed, but we chose to pay him the full agreed price. We eventually regret hiring him for the below reasons. Incompetence - I could have done all the window shades myself but there was one window high up, that needs a ladder. Also you would use a L bracket to fix the shade. The type of stuff you rather a professional handyman do. This is 90% of the reason why I hired a guy than do it myself. You guessed it right, he refused to do this since he (Mr. Professional Handyman) did know how to fix using a L bracket. I insisted he is a professional and should be able figure out. This guy wouldn't stop talking about how he is a professional and hence will not do stuff he doesn't know... its an L bracket, not rocket science. Bonus tip - Dale hardware guy showed my wife how to fix it and I did it in 15 minutes myself the next day. So when this guy claims "Handyman" take it for what its worth. Unprofessional - Be warned, he wont stop talking up he being a professional. The second task of fixing a floating book shelf (three screws basically) was messed up too. We showed a spot where we like it to be and he offset it. The door wouldn't fully open, since the book rack now blocks it. Of course he later claims that's the spot we pointed. Just like he refused to fix the window shade saying "only professional job or nothing" here he chose to lower his "professional" standards. So when he can't stop talking about professionalism, take that for what its worth too. Greed - His quote was too high but we agreed on it so I rather not comment on it. But when he showed up early and hence we couldn't get the baby gate fixed, I still paid the full negotiated price. However, when I pointed out the wrong bookshelf placement, the guy wanted additional 60$ to comeback and re-do it. THE JOB HE MESSED UP in the first place. His typical reaction is endless talk about stuff related to nothing. We offered him an opportunity to do the right thing but also promised to share feedback for the benefit of others. You know what they say about Karma... Good luck! read more
