This was our first trip to the Bethlehem area, so we were not sure what to expect when visiting this local owned Italian, but we were recommended it by more than a few locals. When we stepped inside, we realized why, it felt authentic, local, and had a rustic charm to it. Nick was out in the restaurant greeting guests and talking to people. The menu was extensive and all the things we tried were delicious and had a homemade feel to them, like someone's nonna was back there cooking these dishes. The bread served was snapped up quicker than I could even take a picture, it tasted like European bread that I am so used to. The addition of olive oil to dip it in took me back to days growing up near quality Italian food like this. The marinara was rich in the flavor, and the chicken was tasty with a beautiful crumb. There was a choice of pasta so I opted for the pappardelle, for those, like myself, not in the know this is like a larger flat version of a linguine and is excellent to soak up extra sauce. 10/10. Nick's Pizza restaurant is located on Main St. in Bethlehem. They are open Sunday - Thursday 11AM - 9PM and Friday - Saturday 11AM - 10PM. My friend and I dined here for the first time on Monday evening. The food was delightful, and our server was both friendly and accommodating. We started with the mozzarella fritti. The mozzarella was fresh, lightly breaded, and topped with marinara sauce. For my entree I ordered one of their specials; Penne Key West. It's made with lobster, shrimp, scallops, crab meat, penne pasta, and pink vodka sauce. Yum! Seafood pasta is always my go-to if it's available. My friend ordered Penne alla Vodka and a side of meatballs. The vodka sauce had a good flavor, and the meatballs were juicy and delicious. All dinner entrees are served with soup or salad. We both chose Italian Wedding Soup. Nick's has indoor and outdoor seating. Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. Some family and friends visited Bethlehem for the Cocktail Tour through the town and we found Nick's toward the end to get some food. We were a little rowdy, but we had the best server, Aubrey. She joked with us, was pleasant and attentive, even though they were pretty busy. - Our food and drinks were very enjoyable. We tried the crab stuffed flounder, multiple types of pizza, and their cheese steaks. All very good. So my car broke down about a half of a block from nicks pizza. I called triple a, and was advised that help would take approximately 45 minutes. I decidedly to grab a bite at nicks. Shrimp scampi includes 5 shrimp, raw garlic, drenched in oil, and otherwise poorly prepared. I'm not certain they didn't just throw precooked shrimp over warm pasta, dump oil on top, and sprinkle some raw garlic on top and call it a day. read more

I've been to Nick's several times with friends we all enjoy their food, especially the garlic knots. I am surprised to hear the negative comments about the servers. We have never encountered this. However, I ordered takeout once and there was an error with the order and the server was fixing it. The older man that was cooking (Nick?) Felt he needed to get involved. He was very prickly with me, acting like I caused the mix up. I was patiently standing out of the way and waiting. (Not a big deal) He looked at me a said "Are you satisfied now?" . We ordered a Sicilian pizza with extra cheese. This is NOT a Sicilian pizza!! They use the same flat dough that they do on all the regular pizzas & just make it into a rectangular shape. What a disappointment!! There was a huge amount of cheese that we could not possibly eat along with the flat dough. I love Sicilian because it is a thicker, breadier dough. Yuck!!! Stopped here several times for take out & also eating in. Slices are good. Their "Ziti Crab Meat" is excellent. Italian subs are great when you eat them there, but soak in making soggy bread when taken home. Prices are decent considering their ingredients fresh and good quality. Ordering a pizza pie there only takes them about 10min to have ready. This place has plenty of alcohol available, so I have no idea what a previous reviewer is talking about! read more

My family has been coming to Nick's for YEARS! It's amazing that they have such an expansive menu, yet manage to do everything really well!! The portions are HUGE, it's an incredible value! Their seafood is always great, I especially love their lobster ravioli and their crab cakes. In the summertime, I love sitting at their outdoor side walk tables! It's great that they have a full bar too! They even do catering, so if you need a tray of lasagna for a holiday or something, it's great to keep in mind! My family tried Nick's for lunch. We were working on my brother-in-law's house and needed to break for lunch. We ordered a large Chicken and Broccoli Stromboli and 5 sandwiches. The Stromboli was good but they wanted to charge us for extra sauce! They shouldn't nickel and dime you when you have a $50 order. The chicken parm and veal parm sandwiches were ok, not great. I was vacillating between two and three stars, but decided to denigrate down to 2.5. I've had my fair share of Nick's pizza growing up so I am all too familiar with their pizza. It was my mom's pizza of choice but heck, she doesn't eat hamburgers so you can't really rely on her opinion when it comes to this! Their pizza is okay when you're hungry (and drunk), but something about it is lacking overall. I think it's the crust. It's a more doughy, kinda squishy crust that I truly abhor. Nick's doesn't claim to be NY style pizza so I won't hold that against them. I suppose the pizza doesn't really do it for me. Good news is that they're open late, the pizza is cheap and it's on my way home from the bars. I'm content to hit this place...as long as I'm inebriated. read more
