Food - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Ambiance - 3/5 Garlic Knots - tossed in a blend of olive oil, butter, and garlic, then sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and parsley. While the flavor was good, the inside was tough and chewy rather than soft and airy. 7.7/10 Fried Mozzarella - made in-house daily. It was definitely on the blander side, but their flavorful marinara helped bring the dish together. 7.5/10 Calamari - the menu describes it as "lightly breaded," but these were chewy and heavily breaded. It was one of the few times I didn't finish my plate. 7.3/10 Vodka Chicken Parmigiana - crispy edges, melted mozzarella, and a rich, creamy vodka sauce. We went for dinner here after friends told us it was really good. I looked for their website to checkout the menu, but there was none. So I went to Yelp and Google to find a menu. After finding them, made the decision to take the family. Well, what a surprise! The Lasagna on the Yelp menu was $18. The restaurant was now charging $30. Chicken parm was $18, now $28. Holy smokes! The food was good but really overpriced for Italian food. The service was fine but the inside was pretty cold. White tiled floors with black table clothes didn't lend to a warm atmosphere. Service was friendly and excellent, and the food was fantastic! We didn't have a reservation, but arrived right after they opened at 5PM and it was a snowy Thursday. I'd recommend making a reservation on weekends. We were told the lasagna is a big seller, and to let them know you want some upon making your reservation (they were sold out). While searching for a non-traditional option for my sister's baby shower, I discovered that Gambino's offers make your own pizza private parties. What a perfect way to have fun & mingle without the awkwardness of just sitting and watching someone open gifts or play games no one wants to participate in. My parents & family live locally to Easton so it was the perfect location to host our event. We had about 15 people that attended the party & were able to make their own pizza. Tina & the staff at Gambino's went above and beyond for bringing our vision for this day to be exactly what we hoped! The best part is that when you book this party with them you have the ENTIRE space to yourself. The restaurant was closed and we were able to utilize the entire space. The pizza making includes the dough, sauce, cheese and multiple topping choices. The chef that helped us create our pizzas was so patient & ensured that they would all come out perfectly! My mom and I also opted to add on salads and appetizers for the guests to snack on which were all amazing. It's BYOB here so it's nice that you can bring in whatever you'd like to provide for your party, or nothing at all. The best part is- everyone got to take home pizza leftovers to enjoy again later. My family comes here usually once a week for their regular dinner service and they always rave about the food. Our favorite Italian restaurant. The sauce is the best. Very large portions. Service and food is excellent.

I wanted to like it, but my extra cheese pie came with barely any cheese on it, and for what little cheese it had, the pie was way too salty. I also ordered the lasagne. The portion was large enough to feed a large family. I was impressed by how heavy the portion was. But the bland taste was a sharp contrast to the overly salty pizza. Visually, both the pie and the lasagne looked good, but neither registered anything with my taste buds. It's a good date night place -- not so much a hit for take out. read more

Wonderful Italian restaurant in Forks Township. We were introduced to this establishment by our friends and we will definitely return! It is BYOB so bring the wine of your taste. The appetizers were all amazing. We ordered the fried mozzarella which they make the cheese daily! The garlic knots are the best we ever had! Great sauce comes with it but they were so great I didn't dip much into it. The entries were incredible which for our group to all say they were the best...believe it to be true. I ordered the chicken parmigiana which come with a side of pasta. I upgraded to the vodka sauce and well, I couldn't ever have had made a better choice. The meal also includes bread (awesome homemade) and a big salad with house dressing. So much great food, super friendly service and clean dining experience. Thank you all at Gambino's! One issue is was the time it took for service. The waitresses tried there best and I think they deserve the best rating for the food but staff needed more support. What's the best Italian in the Lehigh Valley? Gambino's in College Hill makes a strong case. They say your only as good as your neighbor and in this case having New Jersey next door is a blessing. They get their bread from Anthony and Son's in Danville NJ and it is nothing short of world class. The calamari, chicken saltinbucca and eggplant parm (mozzarella made in-house)were all off the charts. It's also BYOB! What's not to like? -- eating dinner at Gambino's is a must and worth a drive from anywhere in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. read more

Went in at 6 and was told to come back at 7:45 because there was only 1 server. Came back at 7:45 for dinner with my friend and waited until 8 for menus and then waited another 20 minutes for waters. The appetizer was one of the best I've had, it was fried mozzarella, but that's the only good thing I can say about the experience. I was confused about the menu and pricing and paid $23 for pasta and Alfredo sauce when my friend got a full course chicken parm dinner for $24. I just can't fathom paying $20+ for just noodles and sauce and feel like it wasn't nearly worth the price considering I can make just as good if not better at home. Atmosphere was quiet and nice tho, which doesn't really explain the long wait other than only having 1 server. Will not return. read more

Had dinner there the other night and was very disappointed. The menu was different than on line with only chicken, pasta and a few other entrees, very slim. Not even pizza like before. The penne alla vodka was dry and tasteless and my wife's entree very salty. Prices were too high considering the quality. If you want good Italian food go elsewhere. read more

My wife and I tried Gambinos for the first time tonight. I had heard good things about it from some of my friends. It did not disappoint. I had the eggplant parmigiana which came with a salad and a side of penne. It was a large portion and it was as good if not better than any I have had at other restaurants. My wife had the Lasagna which she really enjoyed. It was also a large portion. For dessert we had the cannolis which were delicious. Gambinos is more expensive than some Italian restaurants but it was well worth the price. read more

From start to finish the service was absolutely spectacular! Tina, one of the owners personally attended to our fabulous meal! Everything we ordered was lights out delicious! The pizza, "eggplant pie" remix, pork chop and meatballs were fantastic!! An unexpected bonus of the complimentary zeppoles for our daughter sealed the deal with respect to Gambinos! Have been wanting to try this place for sometime now. Got home from traveling and decided to get some take out. We got a chicken parm meal and a lasagna meal based on woman's reccomendation on phone when ordering. She stated the portion size is big and you will get a couple meals out of it. Everything was ready on time. I was surprised the lasagna charge was more than the chicken parm. Pricing in general a little high but is what it is these days. $53. Anyway got home and dug in. Yes it was an ungodly sized piece of lasagna. Ate half and full. Taste was ok. Chicken parm was ok too. Salad nothing fancy but nice quality. Could've been more bread given for 2 people. 3 slices for 2 meals. At least make it an even numbrr of 4 lol. Sauce a little sweet for our liking but ok. Just ok. I don't think the food was any better than other local places in Forks but I expected better because it seemed a fancier place. Probably will just go to those in future and save a couple bucks read more

Went with a bottle of wine to enjoy an evening with our 15 month old grandson. We were seated and noticed it was very cold. I was hoping it was just because door was opened but we wound up freezing during entire dinner. Our meal was worse. The good was served COLD. We had to ask for bread and water. Service was slow. Spend your money elsewhere, there are many Italian restaurants in the area, this one will never make it read more

I will give a semi pass as they just opened. Food was good but came out warm, not hot, but had good flavor. With high end prices they need to improve on training staff and getting food out hot. Server was friendly by lacked service knowledge. Salad was good...bread could be better, maybe dipping oil would help, something to upscale a pizzeria feel. I almost never write reviews, but Gambino's was *very* good, good enough to inspire me. We were a party of seven, and we were seven very full, happy, and impressed people, seven people eager to return. I had the eggplant pie, which consists of layers of breaded eggplant and ricotta (which was uncommonly fresh and smooth), and it was without a doubt the best eggplant I've had in Easton. (I almost always order eggplant when I go to Italian restaurants, and I've been uniformly disappointed with the eggplant around town.) Others in our group had the lasagna, the chicken parmigiana, and pasta with meatballs, and everything got a big thumbs up, with everyone commenting on how yummy and obviously homemade the tomato sauce was. A few of us had dessert, also delicious: cannoli and a fairly magical chocolate cake. We'll be back, probably soon and probably often! read more
