Having never been there before, my mind was blown when we first pulled up - they have a massive selection! From a vast assortment of flowers to all kinds of bushes and trees, Nick's Nursery has become my new favorite place. Been to this nursery twice and can't even begin to describe how wonderful the owners (Nick and his son, Edwin) and the people that works here. The first time, Nick showed me around and educated me about drought tolerant plants in their golf cart. He also has given me tips on when is the right time to do planting. Yesterday, I came and met Edwin who was more than patient with me and help me come up with some sort of design for my whole yard. I saw the reviews from yelp and decided to check it out. The reviews were on target. They have a great selection of plants for drought resistant yard. The only one they did not have was the Douglas Iris, but they do have a big selection and the price is the lowest I have found. I noticed that a lot of gardeners come here to get their supplies, so I know I will be coming back! read more

Great selection! Prices were around 30% lower than big box home improvement stores. I could spend a good hour or more walking through their huge lot, just looking at their selection. Their lot is so big, they use golf carts to ferry plants back and forth. Because of their selection, you can find plants that never make it to the large nursery chains. Workers were very helpful, although the man who appeared to be the decision-maker that day was really busy and it took a while to get helped. He was friendly though and apologized for the wait (he was dealing with what seemed a difficult client). I'd definitely come back. Instead of wasting my time hoping to find what I need at smaller nurseries or the limited big box garden centers, this will be the first place I look. read more

I bought several trees from them a year ago at a great price and a fair delivery fee. Recently, I needed some plants and drove to several big box stores, called others, called nurseries. They either didn't have the kind I wanted, or charged too much. I remembered Nick's and drove over. I didn't realize they were technically closed for the day, but the guy let me make a quick purchase anyway which I really appreciated. They had exactly what I wanted at less than half the price of another place. Go here for good prices and cute employees. read more

This place is HANDS DOWN the ONLY nursery you should consider for your lawn and garden needs!! I've been shopping around for quite some time for trees for my front yard and so far its been a frustrating experience. Either the quality and selection was less than desirable, or the customer service is either awful or nonexistent. This place covers ALL the bases! Not only is the selection almost overwhelming, the quality top notch, but the service you will receive at Nick's is IMPECCABLE! Junior walked with us for quite some time explaining exactly what trees would best suit our needs and desires. He was able to deliver the trees the same day, at an unbeatable price!! I wouldn't have been able to rent a truck and do it myself for cheaper. Not to mention the cost of the trees themselves, which was about 60% LESS than what the other guys try to charge you (while offering you no service). Its really a no brainer. After reading the reviews I decided to check it out because I'm working on a cactus garden. Carlos (Tigre) showed me around educating me on different types of cacti, needless to say I ended up buying an entire bed of succulents for dirt cheap and a huge nopal tree for $15!!!. I visited this place twice. Got what I wanted at a good price but honestly I wouldn't go back. Nick just acts like he couldn't care less if anyone ever showed up. I gave him the benefit of the doubt after my first experience there. I though, maybe he's having a bad day so I returned a few weeks later. No, this is who he is. I was there with an elderly lady. We needed to take a golf cart to the area where he kept drought tolerant plants. He kept taking phone calls even in the middle of our discussion about the best plants to purchase,. No apology. He spoke at lenght to other customers. We really weren't important. I had that same experience the 2nd time I visited. I spoke with his son who was great. Unlike his dad he was very friendly,hard working and very attentive. I asked him about his dads attitude. He made excuses for his dad as a good son would. My advice, step aside dad. You don't want to be there? Then let your son run the show. read more

Good plants not great just good. Kinda pricy as far as their wholesale dept goes as I'm used to much less money being spent on basic plants.

Don't waste your time going there. I asked one of the workers there for about 6 different plants and he told me that he had none of them. Even when I was talking to him he seemed uninterested in helping me. He was extremely rude. Nicks nursery prices are not that good 2 gallon Lavender was cheaper at Costco. I was looking for fertilizer/food for my lime trees. Called to ask - the guy who answered the phone just says Hello? I had to ask, Is this Nick's Nursery? He said yes, and I asked if they had the Lime Tree fertilizer, he said he didn't know and would have to check..... then a loooooong pause... i asked, would you check please?
