The staff are so friendly and all of the plants look great! So glad I found this nursery.

A K.

Nick's Nursery is a great place to buy well cared for plants for your garden. The prices are reasonable and the shop's selection is wide and the plants are healthy. Plus the owner and everyone else working there are nice people. We bought several plants - Kangaroo Paws, Sage Junipers, Bottle Brush and an entire hedge row of Ficus plants. We now see a steady population of humming birds and bees and other birds frequent our garden!

Super happy with how quickly we got this landscaping project handled at our rental property. Great service, fair prices, great selection. Edwin is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. We will absolutely be coming back here in the future.

Order.

Hands down the best pricing for trees in town. They don't try to upsell you or anything at all. Just straight forward pricing and information.

Good plants not great just good. Kinda pricy as far as their wholesale dept goes as I'm used to much less money being spent on basic plants.

Been to this nursery 4x before deciding to purchase an Olive Tree. Their worker Keith told us…read moremultiple times that the olive I was looking at would cost $800 alone or $1200 with delivery and install. Went back a week later and the manager working there states the tree is now "1500" at its lowest without delivery or install. Not to mention, the manager had a horrible attitude treating us as if we didn't know what we are talking about when we have years of landscape experience when designing our developments. I have been to 20 nurseries all across Los Angeles and these "Wilsoni" Olive at 7 ft cost between $450-650 without delivery. The manager then turns around and says "you must have not been to Moon Valley" trying to say their prices are so much cheaper when in reality their place is a rip off and Moon Valley is the rip off or rip offs. ALSO, when purchasing from them make sure to check the trees. The Standard Groups olive trees had major scale infection (black bumps fully covering branches), peacock spots on the leaves which you can tell when the yellow leaves have brown circles at the tips or in them, and a good majority of the leaves had bite marks from an infestation. You would think if they're charging a premium they'd at least have healthy trees. I will be going elsewhere to give my business to more knowledgeable, kind, and correctly priced for their quality businesses.

A whole lot more. They also sell food, seeds, roots, soil, small, medium, large pots, different styles and colors of everything. Very durable and a tad expensive for my budget. Pots for your plants are so gorgeous. They do landscaping for people who own gardens (does not apply to me) and all the work the employees put in to those plants to make their customers happy and satisfied is a huge recognition. Employees are very knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. Also caring and understanding. A friend of mine had given me an indoor plant for my birthday last year and lasted me for a whole entire year and 3 months. It took the last breath and I went to them asking for help. It was a bit late. I am more of a flower girl than owning plants. I have had plants in my younger years. I ended up buying 2 new outdoor plants to put outside of my window/door. It looks very pretty. I have also purchased a Christmas tree from their lot twice. Established in 1889. That should say a lot about this lovely, beautiful garden/nursery. Big parking lot right in front of the nursery/shop, and 2 clean bathrooms. Thank you all.

But there must've been some pesticide overspray on the plants from Monarca because my caterpillars all died. I watched some of them twitching violently before they died. I visited this nursery once before and was impressed by the large number of milkweed plants in stock. The owner even showed me a green Monarch chrysalis that was attached ito a piece of drip tubing. I didn't even think about the pesticide aspect until my caterpillars died. If you don't care whether or not they use pesticides then sho here but if you're trying to raise Monarch caterpillars, then you should go contact the people at This Is a Monarchy, which is up in Thousand Oaks. These people are very careful even about the fertilizer they use and use zero pesticides. You have to call them and make an appointment because it's a private residence. They're the ones who told me what probably happened to my poor caterpillars. I still feel bad about them!
