I've been on the search for an electrician to install my Tesla wall charger. Had an electrical problem. 1. Call the top rated guy, Nic. Came out, said all my switches and outlets needed to be changed. Ok. 2. Left dirty fingerprints around every single switch and outlet on my (whole house) newly painted walls. Wow. 3. Left a crack in the wall opposite an outlet box he had to completely change. 4. Told me the wiring in the walls was good. I asked twice. 5. $6,000 which I paid right away. 6. Same problem continues. 7. Call again and a couple of VERY questionable guys came out. 8. Said all the wall wiring had to be changed. Nic agreed via phone. 9. Two shifty guys try to get me to file a false claim with my insurance company to, get this, help pay for the $16,000 rewiring job it was going to cost me. (Twice I was told by the head dude that my wall wiring was fine, before). 10. One of the shills wiggled a wall socket until it was falling into the wall. They left. 11. I called to tell them to fix the socket. I was told to tighten the screw. It wasn't the screw I told him. Duh? 12. All 3 came back out, and one of the sleezy dudes jokes to Nic "ohhh she just wanted to see you Nic" wink wink nudge nudge heh heh. Can you say totally sexist uncalled for and humiliating??!! Wow. 13. Smartest thing I did: hire another electrician, who: a. Told me in 10 minutes I didn't need any new wiring. b. Confirmed with my neighbor was having the SAME issue. Bingo. A super easy obvious problem/trouble-shooting issue any electrition should have checked???? Not only $16,000 saved, but no kidding, this other electrition did NOT charge me for his visit. On March 15th I had Nicks Electric install a Wallbox-EV-Car Charger for my new Eelctric car at home in my garage. The price for the install was reasonable, but I wanted to point out how helpful Isaac M. was coming out to my house for the install. Reasonably priced. The work got done, over about 5 days for three lights and a switch ran. The drywall damage was a bit more than I expected (not sure the 2 foot opening was needed or the miss-drills) and there was stucco damage the installation did not cover. Hole saws can be hard on stucco, but screwdrivers are worse. He took one of my drywall plugs with him (likely still in the hole saw)Most electricians do not repair this damage, fortunately I'm good at those repairs, removed the work and repaired the walls myself. Just know that your electrician will likely not do these repairs. They were honest and told me this up front. No big deal, that's in my skill set. So is minor electric, but doing unlicensed work is a no-no ... Don't do it ... Call a pro. However, one of the issues I asked them to fix was my address sign. I had not bothered with it yet. Electrician told me I needed a new sign. I nodded my head and let it go. After he left I broke out my meter (Fluke 117, great meter if you need one) and tested contacts, voltage, and resistance myself. Finally traced it back to the transformer, which he said was fine. It was the wrong transformer and was why it was blowing bulbs.(we just bought the place and are fixing past issues) Found the right one (lower) for my light voltage on ebay (no longer commercially available in that low voltage) and the light works fine with original transformer (one that should have been there). Mounting screws were not adjusted correctly (over extended) and we're spinning on lights. Makes lights hard to remove and adjust. Asked electrician, and he's says that's just the quality of light. Didn't argue, I knew better. Had to remove the lights and add additional 8/32 nuts because mounting harness was barely reaching so screws were over extended. Adding nuts to the screws locked them in at bracket and stopped them (mounting bolts) from spinning on installation. Nick's ran off to another (bigger) job during ours but their price was reasonable and I have not found any egregious errors yet. In spite of the issues, I would call them again if I had major issues to resolve. They did most of what I asked and the residual damage, while not ideal, was to be expected. They tried to talk me into running conduit which is unsightly and uncommon in a finished garage but they relented when I refused and ran it through the walls. I've worked with two other major electricians in the area I'll never call again. Nick did the estimate, one of his electricians did the work. Nice guy. Personable. New what he was doing. So far, Nicks is doing better than the competition. read more

Amazing service!! I would give Nick's Electric 10 stars if I could. My electric panel burned up resulting in our AC and our electricity in the home not working. This happened when we were in the middle of the heat wave and it was very worrisome because we had a baby in the home. Nick and his crew answered our emergency call and were in our home within the hour for this emergency situation. They were able to safely patch things up so that our AC could work in the meantime because of the baby. Later they were able to replace our entire panel and installed a much more modern and powerful system.
