I brought my 1998 Forester in this shop to replace the exhaust pipe. The owner quoted me for $175.00 since I provide my own parts in which I bought online. When he released my car I billed for $306.00 including tax. I was shocked upon knowing that I will be paying in such amount in which I am not expecting. What I should I do except to pay otherwise they won't release my car. Folks it is understandable that this garage is crook and never shall I bring my car to them again even though our home is just less than mile away. One star is not worthy to this garage. read more

I called them to change my brakes rotors / drums Front and back (I supplied all parts) they told me about $250 when I got there to have it done then then told me it would be over $500 never looked at my van & you yelled at the guy in the service bay for giving me that price while you were out total waste of my time needless to say I went to another service center. read more

First of all this business is now called Fairfield Autocare, previously Nick's Precision Auto. Same owner, but now I know why they must have changed their name. DO NOT take your car there unless you want to be charged for services they say they are going to do, but are never performed. They are dishonest, and when given the opportunity to make things right, they opted not to do so. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! My car came out not working, which led me to receive $0 for trading in a dead car. My car went into their shop running with a light on. They took almost two thousand dollars from me to brake my car! In turn, they offered me an "in store credit". I was lied to and mislead every time I brought my car back there. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. They also have the worst communication skills ever. read more

This is a class outfit. Three times I brought my car to Acura and they could not properly repair the car charging me thousands for incompetency. One visit to Nick solved my problems. These folks are highly trained mechanics - who first correctly diagnose what is the cause of the problem not just the convenient and costly approach of replacing units. This is the second time Nick has fixed a problem that Acura could not. On top of that Nick's is a customer friendly personal attitude that is most welcoming. Nick's is my go to auto repair shop for the future. I am done with higher priced incompetent dealers. read more

Had my car brought to Nick after some electrical issues with my car. He had the car for two weeks and never communicated anything that was going on. He finally called to say it was fixed and I could pick it up. I went to pick it up on Friday and on Monday morning it broke down on the highway doing the same thing it was there for in the first place. Brought it back to Nick where he had it for another 3 weeks and again never called to communicate what was going on. One day he calls and says it's fine and there are no problems and that he's been driving it all week. Go and pick it up and drive it home less than 2 miles and almost didn't Make it home as it is still doing the same thing that it was brought there for the first time. He is a snake and a liar. He sad he was driving it all week and had no issues but the day I pick it up to drive it home in less than 10min in the car it does the same thing it has been doing. He never fixed the original problem none the less any other issues that arose. He refused to go through our extended warranty policy because in his words "it was just too much paperwork and jumping through hoops and getting signatures"...so we had to pay 700$ out of pocket that would have been covered by the warranty company. But because of his and his daughters laziness he decided to not use them and just charge me for it. Please NO ONE EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! He is a liar and a thief. read more

Just not ethical in the way they treat customers. They misdiagnosed our car, fixed everything but the problem we asked them to, and refused to take responsibility when the car died the day after we got it back from them...they'd had it for over a week already. The car ended up back on their lot, then we had to have it towed to Honda. Never a good sign for a repair business when someone else has to come with a tow truck to fix what you couldn't. They should've just admitted they didn't have the right technology or know-how to address the car. We ended up paying them over 1800 to work on it, and then we had to trade it in with Honda because the car died...lost half the trade in too because it wasn't capable of being driven into Honda. After all of this, they refused to reimburse us a dime; they wouldn't even return our phone calls. Sad state when you can't stand behind your work, admit when you are wrong, and embrace proper and ethical customer service. Be careful, as they're nice people, but not at all trustworthy. read more
