It appears that there were Yelp reviews prior to his license being active, but they have been removed. It is my belief that Marc was a teacher at la costa canyons high school before he got is license, as the Voice of San Diego attests to. As with anything in life, I recommend that buyers do their research and take responsibility for due diligence. My wife and I own a small business (~30 employees), and for several years used a pretty large…read moreinsurance agency to help us with our small business health insurance. We weren't happy with them. They would come to us a few weeks before renewal time and bombard us with renewal information and need everything returned to them in a rush; they would fail to terminate coverage for employees who left and we wouldn't realize until months later; etc. A year ago I decided we were going to switch insurance agents. I knew it would be a bit of a hassle because of how much stuff flowed through our insurance agent, but I felt the long-term benefit of having a better insurance agent would be worth the short-term hassle. After some research I opted to move over to Aaron and Preferred Insurance. My goodness. What a difference. When we switched, ALL I wanted was an agent who would do the basics competently--send us renewal information more than a few weeks in advance, follow up with insurance companies to make sure terminated employees really were terminated. This is going to sound like hyperbole, but it's actually an understatement--I am blown away by the level of service we've received. Aaron is closer to an HR manager (whom we don't pay) than just an insurance agent. Before, our prior insurance agent just got us our plans and it was up to me to get employees enrolled, keep track of premiums, get employees canceled, etc. Now, when we have a new hire, I simply give Aaron their contact information and he does everything--walks them through their options, helps with their applications, gets them enrolled, and sends me the information about their plans and deductions. Switching to Aaron and Preferred Insurance was easily one of the best business decisions we've ever made. They're not only hyper-competent and super-reliable at doing the things you expect an insurance agent to do, but they go above and beyond, which in our case, has allowed me to recapture time that I can put towards improving and growing the business. If you are a business of any size, but particularly small- to mid-size, in search of an insurance agent for your business, your search should start and end with Aaron and Preferred Insurance.

After (and still) having Steve handle my companies health insurance for the last few years I'm ready to write a review. As with most people dealing with an insurance company it's a big pain in the rare and our experiences are no exception. After about a year of Steve asking me to allow him to take care of issues that come up with the insurance company and that I should trust him to take care of it. Again after a year of going in circles with Blue Shield I was so discouraged I said OK YOU HANDLE IT! He did, he has and he still is. I'm sleeping better and now when I can't get Blue Shield to process my prescription medications correctly I just send Steve an email and he takes care of it. The best thing about it doesn't cost me or my company anything for him to resolve these issues for us. I'm so impressed with him I've recommended him to others and they all have high praise for him. By the way I can be a big pain in the, well you know where and Bruce handles everything with cool professionalism and resolves problems. My review is not addressing the whole State Farm Insurance Company. I direct my comments to a…read moreparticular agent, Ryan Waggener of 2710 Locker Ave. Carlsbad California. However, it would be unfortunate if his treatment of customers would be tolerated by a reputable company like State Farm. As a matter of fact, his insulting behavior, the only reason forit me to cancel my insurance policy with State Farm without caring if I had to pay more to another company. Following is what I found unbelievable in treatment of a customer by an insurance agent. The office had recorded my mileage on the car something like 24,000 miles (even now my mileage is less than 10,000) and annual driving mileage as something like 12,000, which in fact it is less than 5,000). When I asked him where he got those numbers from, he said he did know and did not care. And was not happy for me to take the car to his office so he could see the number or even to receive a picture of my odometer. Instead, he asked me to gather a number of documents from places that I have repaired my car (My car was a new Tesla and had never been repaired before). And when I responded that his request was not appropriate, he responded: his direct quote: "I am wasting my time with you" and hung up. I was stunned and extremely angry. Never had seen anybody talking to a customer like that. One can imagine the level of my anger from the fact that even after four months (I waited to see if I could digest such a response) I am still angry and that is why I am writing this review. At the end, the anger is not the only reason I write this review. I believe the company should be informed of this type of behavior. I was a customer for the past 40 years, and this made me to leave State Farm.
