I am contemplating whether I should write this review for Nick and his service. Since I found him on yelp, I think it would be fair for others to know what experienced I had with this guy. We were first time homebuyer last year. We interviewed several contractors and Nick stood out the most. He was genuine and personable and that's what led us to hire him. Before we moved in to our first home we had asked him to replace our bathroom faucets, replaced the plywood in our kitchen, cover the hole under the sink and replaced our bathroom vents. During that time, I wasn't already pleased. His works was not clean. My guts was telling me something was up. I let it go and told my husband, it is what it is. A year and half later, our neighbor upstairs had a leak and we opened up our ceiling. We discovered that all along our vent was not installed properly. I reached out to Nick right away and told him "it took me over a year to discovered your work that our vent was not installed properly. His defensed was like "That's impossible, something might had happened". We had asked to come back right away and yes he came back to fix it. Where am I going with this? We had 2 bathrooms and both vents weren't installed properly. Knowing we spent $$$ to pay this guy, we expect that they would do a great job the first time. He may know how to fix things but please take a moment to check their job. We trusted him during that time that's why we allowed him to do his things without supervision. This image below only show how 1 of our vents were installed. Before he left this weekend, he was hesitant to open the other bathroom vent as well. Sure enough, it wasn't installed properly either. The hole that should connect to the pipe was completely blocking the ventilation. He tried to convince us that we don't need a vent in our bathroom anyway since our ceiling has one already... They did work in the bathrooms of my rentals. In one bathroom we replaced a vanity with one that had legs. The left it open to studs at the bottom and didn't replace the baseboard. In another rental bathroom the never replace the backsplash and at the bottom of the vanity used a shim to cover up the baseboard opening. I was out of town when the work was done. If you guys need a nail to be hammered in or a shelf put on, this man can probably do it, but other than that I do not think he is capable of doing a good job. We asked him to remodel a small room which included drywall work. He worked for half a day with some machinery and ended covering the whole house (including all cupboards, items, expensive paintings) with a fine layer of dust. Our family spent an entire 5 days cleaning the whole house from that. This handyman doesn't understand that the work area should be contained. After all the "work" he did, the walls he was supposed to even out were still rough with a lot of very visible extrusions. This is the worst experience we have had with a handyman. read more
