Dr. Nicholas Rogers delivered my baby at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital in DTLA. I am so grateful for him and his team. The way he oversaw his team during my delivery was exceptional. I was induced and had a long 3 day labor. So when it was time to deliver I was mentally and physically exhausted. However, Dr. Rogers's kind, friendly, and warm bedside manner put me at ease. His comforting demeanor is everything a new mom needs especially before giving birth. I could feel his warmth and tell he was smiling even while he was wearing a mask. He even stopped by to say goodbye and congratulate my partner and I before we were discharged. Mind you, he had an emergency delivery in the lobby of the ER and an ongoing delivery on the L&D floor, yet he still stopped by our room for a few minutes to say goodbye. He even said that I did well during my delivery. This beautiful gesture and his kind words meant so much to me and will stick with me forever. I had a great experience at this office , I never had an issue with calling there or anything else ... Emily at the front desk is truly amazing, she handled a very busy day full of patients and phone calls etc with ease and professionalism . I had an issue with an authorization from my insurance and she worked it out for me even though she was incredibly busy ! All of the staff there were so nice and I thank them !!!!! Dr Rogers took care of my issue (cyst removal) and it was done in no time , he is very nice and direct and informative! The receptionist don't seem to want to do their jobs. I called last week to schedule an appointment and I had my authorization number from my insurance. The lady on the phone couldn't find any record supposedly. She was in a hurry to end the call. I called today and the lady on the phone said they're not taking appointments until January to call back. I'll definitely be looking for another office. Sad the receptionist are ruining it for the practice. Especially after reading other complaints about them too. read more

Given that Google claims the office is open for 8 hours each week, this just doesn't seem like the doctor to see if there is any sense of urgency around your care. read more

I can't speak to Dr. Rogers' competence as a doctor, but his staff is incompetent and unprofessional. My daughter was going through a very difficult pregnancy when she was referred to Dr. Rogers and called the office.The receptionist/staffer asked a few questions gave her a date for an appointment for a procedure and then conveyed entirely incorrect information about how the appointment would go. Either she didn't know anything about obstetric care, or she didn't bother to listen. I then had to explain to my daughter (who was already upset) that what she had been told was wrong and she needed to call back to clarify. For almost 48 hours she couldn't connect with the office and when she did the staffer told her that she needed to get pre-clearance from her insurance provider (note: she never asked what insurance she has) and then proceeded to give her inaccurate information again about what to expect. By this time, my daughter was in tears and called her specialist's office for help. They had the same terrible experience trying to get through to the office, and as I write this, the situation still hasn't been resolved, although it appears that the doctor was trying to schedule her for three visits: one as a new patient, one to prep for the procedure and then a third one for the procedure itself. Both physicians at UCLA and Cedar Sinai would combine the first and second visits, which is less stress on my daughter and also likely less cost. I'm grateful that my daughter found competent compassionate care with two different providers, one at UCLA and one at Cedar Sinai, where everything was handled professionally, kindly and clearly. She will not be seeing Dr. Rogers under any circumstances for anything. Oh, and please look through his photos - he not only advertises on a bench, but has a picture of himself sitting on it, pointing to his picture, as if this is a badge of honor. I saw some comments from patients about how "hot" he is, but when your health is at stake, is that really what you're looking for in a doctor? read more

Oh nooo who are those people with the bad reviews l don't think they are patients of this clinic, I have been a patient at this clinic for years and I have never had a problem contacting them never they always answer the phone they always make me feel comfortable l moved far a way from the clinic but l don't mind to drive more to keep going there. Provably these people called when the clinic is closed you should check Google hours before call or any place that don't answer you thats what you should do not just assume that they are bad receptionist. I want to just start by saying i didn't expect him to accept me so late in my pregnancy especially with the slight complications im having but i NEEDED to get a new dr. and ever since i started coming here a few weeks ago its been the best dr office ive been to ! the receptionist is very nice, so is his assistant. and when it comes to Dr Rogers, he is AMAZING ! during my appointment he was on the phone BUT it's totally fine with me especially because it was about one of his patients in labor but he is great ! i never felt uncomfortable, just felt very welcome. definitely will he updating when my baby gets here in a few weeks :) read more

I cannot put into words what an amazing doctor Dr. Rogers is. And how he was the only positive note in an otherwise traumatic delivery. Yes, his office isn't the most modern and updated. But when I ended up in his care unexpectedly, he was there for me. He answered all my questions with patience, and honesty. He took away concerns, and his down to earth manner combined with a caring attitude made a world of difference. Dr. Rogers encourages a natural birth whenever possible, and if that ends up going south for whatever reason, he gives time to make decisions without being pushy and without getting all 'I'm the doctor' on you. He's open to suggestions and supports a birth plan that's outside of the norm. He was also the doctor that performed my c-section. His aftercare and stopping by extra to check up on me and the baby meant the world. He even went as far as going to the NICU to follow up on our daughters treatment. In summary: His kindness and support in a very chaotic and difficult time is something we'll never forget. And if we're to have another baby here in LA, we will skip the home birth and go 100% to Dr. Rogers from the beginning. read more

I brought my mom in to the office from a convalescent home and was looking for someone to help me because i had her nurse on the phone I walked into the hall and asked if there was someone at the front desk. And another so called doctor from the office rudely told me to wait outside. I told her i know where to wait. I was then rejected and told they weren't going to see my mother...how profesional was that! I will not be coming back what kind of treatment is that! Absolute worst health care experience I've ever had. I have been to 20+ different clinics and hospitals of my life, and have never felt called to write a review, but this was so horrendous that I had to. I went in for routine care and a specific treatment, and to name just a few things that were upsetting, my blood was drawn without gloves, and the nurse (receptionist) who drew my blood let the vial roll off the table and then walked out. When I had my treatment, another nurse, while holding the speculum she was about to give to my doctor in her hand, pushed a dirty paper paper towel down into the graphically dirty trashcan (and thus the speculum with it). Sorry, but that is exactly what I would think of as horrifying in an OB/GYN office, considering that they had just stuck a used vaginal swab in the trash prior. When I was receiving my exam, I felt the Dr. Rogers was very rough, and considering a pelvic exam is a fairly uncomfortable and vulnerable experience, it felt like careless and cold bedside manner. Third, I was asked to give a urine sample for a test I requested, and I was handed a paper cup, no label or lid, and told to place it in the main area, open and spillable, by the sink, and that they would test it later. 1) how will they know it's mine 2) that's just unsanitary and I expect sanitary conditions in a medical environment. Lastly, I was told I'd receive a call within the hour on the test results, and have not been able to reach the office for two days. It's an important test, so I don't think that's acceptable either. I finally got a hold of who I assume is the receptionist (who multiple times asked if she could put me on hold and then hung up), told me that she doesn't think they were able to run the test. Why would they not call me to let me know? All in all, I will not return here and I left my appointment feeling disturbed and uncomfortable to say the least. read more

Dr Rogers is a true gem. He was recommended to me by the midwives that I had planned to do a home birth with. He was my back up doctor, in case of anything, so I saw him a few times during my pregnancy. He is incredibly relaxed, caring, and very thorough. He makes you feel very comfortable. I ended up birthing with him, as my home birth did not go to plan, and he was so incredible. After my water had been broken over 24 hours, most doctors would just do a c-section, but he is not that doctor. 35 hours after my water broke, I still ended up giving birth naturally, although with an epidural to help me along. I am so happy that there are doctors that want you to birth naturally (if you want to and can)! The only downside - his office is confusing. The girl over the phone will tell you that you don't need an appointment, and to come at x time, but when you arrive, she'll ask if you have an appointment, or tell you he went to do a c section. They are quite disorganized, and 2 of the times that I went, I did not get the see the doctor. I have yet to see him again since my babe was born, but I will be back to him for all my gynecology needs and a future potential baby. The inconvenience of his office is so worth it for a kind doctor. read more

I need to share my review of Dr. Rogers and how wonderful he was during my pregnancy. I went with Dr. Rogers for the birth of my second son as my experience with the OB I had for my first was super manipulative and abusive. Dr. Rogers is such a gem. He really listens to the birthing person and their needs. I never once felt rushed during appointments and was always respected with my choices. I wanted a natural unmedicated birth and was very up front with Dr. Rogers that I wanted no vaginal exams, limited ultrasounds (basically one in the beginning and one at 20 weeks), and didn't want to have an induction pushed on me. He had a great response to this, we talked about risks and benefits and he really embraced my birth plan. He never pressured me to do a vaginal exam or ultrasound. I ended up delivering my son at 40 weeks and 3 days. When I hit the 40 week appointment Dr. Rogers was great and again never brought up induction. We made plans for what if scenarios and we talked about how I was feeling. The office manager, Evelyn, is funny and no nonsense. I love it, but I could see how it can be a little off putting for others. Also nurse Carla and such a sweet soul. She always remembers who everyone is and really helps you feel relaxed. The office can get super busy and sometimes you have a wait a while, but I feel like this is normal for every OB office I've ever been to. read more

Hmmm where to begin? I first came to doctors Rogers in late 2013 for the prenatal care of my first born he was great from the start I had been told at a previous clinic that I would be having a miscarriage. Dr.Rogers told me what we could do to reduce the risk of it happening.Carried my baby girl to 40+ weeks I had a tough time with the delivery after 3 days of failed inductions I had a C-section performed by Dr.Rogers. My recovery was incredibly fast after that and the incision was pretty small healed without any issues. Then in 2017 I came to him for the prenatal care of my son I developed preeclampsia it got a bit complicated he made sure it was kept an eye on an as soon as it was safe he decided we should deliver my baby boy at 38 weeks. We were both out of the hospital within 2 days my son was also born via C-Section and just like my first time I was able to recover without any issues or major discomfort. My most recent care with Dr.Rogers was 2019 as soon as I found out I was pregnant I scheduled an appointment with Evelyn to begin my prenatal care (Evelyn is in front desk and Karla is usually in the back getting vitals bloodwork going and they are both great however You will get the same energy you give, with that being said be polite,respectful be patient) this time right off the beginning of my pregnancy my blood pressure was high I was put on HBP medicine he kept a close eye had to increase my dose and towards the end I had developed preeclampsia again and again at 38 weeks I had my 3rd C-section to deliver my little one. We went home 3 days after and again I recovered fine my incision healed as good as it could have being my 3rd C-Section. It's a lot to read but I had to write this I'm so thankful to Dr.Rogers for everything for addressing my concerns throughout each pregnancy for making sure that we my babies and I were okay from beginning to end. I was referred to Dr. Rogers from Gracefull Birth Center for an ultrasound and I am so glad! I called and really needed an appointment right away and the receptionist got me in the next day. Dr. Rogers is kind and easy going. He speaks to you like you have a brain and are entitled to have an opinion about what happens to your body. Also, the receptionist and the nurse are great! They are both super on top of everything. They remember you and know what you are in for and don't ask the same questions over and over again despite the fact that the office always seems busy. Dr..Rogers was my OB and preformed my last minute c-section I after having him as a doctor I can't imagine having another baby without him being my OB. He was always so nice and he knew I didn't want a c-section so he kept trying to turn my baby to the correct position until the last minute and I love going to his office the receptionist Evelyn and Karla are also nice it is hard for you to get in contact with them over the phone I told them and they fixed the issue they even gave me their cell phone number. I don't normally write reviews but I am absolutely appalled by their lack of professionalism. If I could I would give them zero stars. Please note this review is based off solely on his staff. My mom was referred to them to have some specialized tests six months ago and the staff failed to send the results. My mother, my mother's physician and myself have been calling trying to get them to fax their results and they never answer, place you on hold and then hang up on you or simply send you to voicemail. I am not surprised that Dr. Rogers has bad reviews here and on Google. He and at least 1 of his staff are a JOKE. Ok, so from the beginning..... I was given a referral to this doctor by my GP. I went in to get an IUD on April 28th. I didn't wait long and soon went into the office to get the procedure done. As soon as I was ready, he invites in 2 medical students (same thing that happened to Porscia E. in her review!) and he didn't ask for my consent or if I was comfortable with them being there and seeing all of my business. I wouldn't have/didn't care but he didn't even ask! Moving on, he didn't ask me what IUD I wanted; a 3 year, 5 year, or 12. I had a 5 year in before and had bad cramps so he just assumed he should put in the 3 year (less hormones therefore less cramps). I probably would of chose the 3 year but he didn't even give me the option. Granted this may not be his fault, but after everything was done, I basically felt like I wanted to throw up. The first time I got this done, I certainly didn't feel that way. So fast forward to the end of August. I had made an appointment to change the IUD from a 3 year to a 5 year. I arrive at my appointment time, 2pm and THE DOOR IS LOCKED! There is a sign on the door saying that they are in the process of moving offices. I call and knock multiple time with no answer. Ok, you're moving offices, so why the **** did you not call me an reschedule my appt?!?!?! I leave a note on the door telling them that I had an appt. and to call me. They never called. About 4 or 5 days later I call them and the receptionist (wish I had her name!) says, "oh yeah, we're moving." Ok, so why didn't you call me and reschedule?! She gives me some stupid excuse. And during the whole convo there is no remorse and never does she say sorry. I don't reschedule the appointment. I call another doctor but for silly reasons I can't go to them. I decide to just make another appointment for Dr. Rogers again and after this one, I'll get a new doctor. On September 2nd, I call to make an appt. for September 12th. On the last phone call she, the same receptionist, told me that the doctor is only there from 9-12 (wtf? then why did you give me a 2pm appt? last time) and so I take a 10:30am appt. Today, September 12th, I go to my appt at 10:30am and guess what! THE DOOR IS LOCKED and there is another sign on the door saying that as of Sept. 2nd they are at a new location. Ummm, I called on Sept. 2nd to make my appt, so why did they not tell me the new address?!?!?!?!?! I call the office, no answer. At this point i'm PISSED. I go back to my car after paying an hour on the meter! and head home. I call the office again, and get that same ***** of a receptionist. I say, "Hi, I had an appt. today at 10:30 and your door is locked." She replies, "Oh yeah. What's your name?" I tell her my name and she tells me that they moved to Wilshire. One, wtf, the first thing out of your mouth should of me "I"M SORRY", not "oh, yeah". Granted I could of been more professional, at this point I'm going off on her telling her how disrespectful they are and asking why the *** would you not call me to tell me the new address or to reschedule my appt. And wait for it..... this ***** tells me, "We did have lines, we didn't have phones so I couldn't call you" OMG. ARE YOU SERIOUS. I am your patient. So one, you're lying; if you have been at the other office since the 2nd and today is the 12th, that means you've had phones for at least 10 days! and how did I call to make the appt. on the 2nd in the first place if you didn't have phones?! Two, if you didn't have phone lines, USE YOUR CELL PHONE! Oh you don't have one, so use Dr. Roger's cell phone. How rude and disrespectful of you to not call me, your patient! And for the SECOND time! As you can tell I'm still PISSED. Anyways, so I'm yelling at her on the phone and she hangs up on me! Smh. I called my health insurance and filed a formal complaint and am in the process of getting a referral for a new gyno. Wish me luck. Lastly, only the doctor and this receptionist are ********. When I was at the first appt. the staff (2 or 3 people) that I met were all very nice. Like I said, I wish I knew the receptionist name. read more

Dr. Rogers was my backup OB for my home birth last year, and during my pregnancy I also went to him for ultrasounds and a few other things. He is a really wonderful person and has extremely good energy. Since my baby was born, I've continued going to him for my OBGYN needs and it feels really good to find a doctor who remembers you, is totally honest and open, and confident in his practice. I've had some really fancy OBGYN's all over LA over the years but have never felt as comfortable with them as I do with Dr. Rogers. His office is primarily drop-in as far as I know, but the gal at the front desk Evelyn is also super wonderful and helpful. Haven't had great success calling them on the phone but once you visit the office once or twice you get the hang of things and they make up for the weird appointment scheduling with flexibility and smiles. Dr. Rogers and his staff are good people and if I ever have another baby I'd definitely want him to be my backup and would be totally comfortable having him deliver my baby if I had to birth in a hospital. Dr rogers is a great doctor helped me thru my pregnancy i cant complaint been to his office about 5 times, i love it its fast front desk is very helpful and always fast. People seriously cant judge a book by its cover he is really good. Dr. Rogers played a crucial role in the birth of my 3rd child. I had been planning a home birth and when I went past 42 weeks I needed to seek obstetrical care for the first time (in California, it is illegal for midwives to attend a home birth after 42 weeks). Despite meeting him at such a late phase of pregnancy, he was kind, nonjudgemental, and not pushy about induction at all. He respected my wishes to start labor naturally. I've always been able to get an appointment within a timely manner when I call the office. And if something needed urgent attention, they got me in on the same day. Although he was not ultimately present at my son's birth, he provided follow-up care during postpartum. I appreciate his laid-back demeanor, which works really well for me. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is that I've shown up early for a few appointments and had some really long wait times. I wonder if they overbook for some reason. Other than that, I have had a positive experience. Also, he accepts Medi-cal and his cash rates are very reasonable. I believe I paid $50 for my initial evaluation and non-stress test when I initially joined his practice because I did not have any insurance at the time. He really tries to make his services accessible to people regardless of socioeconomic status, and I think that is so important and needed. read more
