    Pie! Among other desserts

I was on the lookout for some grub after a marvelous trot in Lundy canyon...and the homemade pie sign caught my eye! This is a super quaint diner with major vintage vibes, down to the 50s tunes and even and old school cash register! My grilled cheese was perfectly fine, but I really enjoyed the crips crinkle fries that came with. And of course I got some pie- ask for which ones are homemade. The raspberry was delicious!!! Very friendly staff and service. Prices are very reasonable too. Please consider grabbing a bite here when you're out enjoying the Mono basin.

Diner feel, nice variety of dishes. Ordered the cheeseburger with bacon, house salad & the deep dish apple pie. Thousandth island dressing was delish, and their apple pie, not sweet and topped with ice cream. 3.5 % charge for use of cards, cash is king. Parking lot or street parking.

We normally stop by here for dinner and I would always get their fried chicken but this time we went for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and their pricing.

Salad and BLT, accompanied by bleachy water.

When we didn't want to wait while the restaurant we planned to go to had a break between breakfast and lunch, we wound up at Nicely's. What a mistake. I've never had such a bad BLT. It was made with plain white bread, the bacon was overcooked and there was hardly any mayo. My husband's Asian salad was no better. The chicken was flavorless and dry, and the salad kept slipping out of the shell bowl it came in. When my water wasn't refilled quickly enough for me, I took a sip of my husband's. The cup had an overpowering smell of bleach. This retro venue has so much potential. Hopefully someday it will achieve it.

I feel like I scored on this stop on the way back home from camping. I looked around and I saw a few other dusty people that were also at the same campground as me and they were relaxing and getting soup and a nice home-cooked meal. When I walked in, and I asked if I could place an order to go, the swiftly took my order and help me out the door. It might seem like the matter of five minutes thank you nicely for the cup of ice, because I am loaded up with a whole case of Pepsi, I look forward to coming back and trying or spaghetti or roast beef sandwich.

This place was pretty good, it was kind of greasy, but there's not much to eat and do in this town, so it was good for what it was. It was very old everything was vinyl we had the cinnamon roll as well and it was pretty good. It would be better if it had cream cheese frosting though

Nicely isn't really nicely. It's the only spot around and was a needed stop while headed to points north. A local greasy spoon on Hwy 395. Coffee was hot, otherwise the food was less than expected and the experience wasn't good. Bread tasted stale, hash browns were very under cooked and the processed cheese on my omelette didn't melt. The biscuit and gravy tasted like uncooked flour. The other meal ordered was also not great. The ice water was cold and didn't taste horrible but the cup tasted and smelled like cleaner or bleach. To top it off it seemed fairly expensive for what it was. The server seemed like she didn't want to be there anymore than we did. It is the only place around that was open and the bathroom was clean. Parking. It's a beautiful drive so it's hard to be too critical, but I do not recommend and will not be back.

Dining area, good selection of food. Casual dining. It's in a good location, right on 395 middle of town.

The food was good. It's not a fancy place, casual and good food. The service was fine, there were a couple service but they worked hard to come by and check on us. Good location on 395 in the middle of town.

What's wrong with all the bad reviews? Great food, great service, great location. Blueberry pie with ice cream was so heavenly

We always make it a point to have at least one meal here when in the Mono/Mammoth area. Either as burger lunch or a breakfast.

Not the best value for the serving but decent classic diner selection and local mineral water. Always a table available though!

It was the only place open on NYE. I got the patty melt. It was pretty solid. I wish they would do breakfast all day.

We were driving Hwy 395 and stopped for lunch at Nicely's. We are glad we did. Service was good and so was the food. Home made pies!

Food was typical American fare for breakfast. Staff were cordial and quick. Food was prepared quickly, was tasty and reasonably priced.

High Sierra Bakery is a fan favorite in this Eastern Sierra big "small town." We have been enjoying…read morethe donuts, cookies, breads, pastries and cakes since 1995. While ownership has changed at one point, the bakery has stayed in the family. Locals absolutely depend on this jewel. High Sierra bakery is more than just a shop, but a place where neighbors meet, chat, and feel at home, fostering a sense of connection. Locals also order donuts for their different clubs, acitivities and gatherings. Tourism is also a big part of the bakery clientelle. The bakery has extended hours during peak summer time. It's essential to get to the bakery early during these times to be able to have many variety choices. While the bakery must close for the winter, you can depend on them usually beginning in April into October. It has been a long time, but we have ordered birthday cakes in the past. Everything here is consistent. The apple fritters are a big hit, and I say big hit because they are HUGE. The bakery also has sandwiches on the menu, but I think they are usually not available until after 11. There is plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. Parking is available on the street and it is within walking distance from all local motels.

Stopped here on the way home from Mammoth to have an early dinner. We had originally decided on…read morethe Deli but even though Yelp said they were open, they weren't. So their loss was our gain because I really enjoyed the High Sierra Bakery. I ordered up a delicious Sierra Haystack, A MUST DO when you go here. The bag was tempting, but they also have single haystacks for sale. My wife ordered up the Hulk and shared a bite of her sandwich with me. Perfectly made, in my opinion. Nice flavors and not too much of anything. They did have to sub pepperoni for salami but that didn't make much of a difference. For my sandwich I decided on a simple PBj because I wasn't super hungry. It was a good choice. Great bread and simple ingredients. The space is big enough for most groups that are coming through town and it really did feel very small town vibe. The service was good too! So many times I hesitate to get anything really unique in small towns because they just don't have the turnover, but High Sierra was pleasant surprise when it came to the quality of everything we had. I will definitely head there next time I am driving through from Reno.
