Switched up dentists after a horrible experience and now had I believe my 5th visit and will remain to be my choice for our family dentist. Very nice place, very nice people, and man I love the text reminders for my appointments. I tend to lose track of things like this. If there is one thing I'd warn about, it's to not miss your spot. I really love my experience at Nice Teeth Dental. I have been going there since 2015. The staff are friendly and they get you in and out. My appointment was at 730am and I was out by 810am. My next appointment was scheduled same day and I always get reminders. My hygienist remembered me and we had meaningful conversations about work and family. Doctor Jason Chen is AMAZING! My front tooth was chipped and I waited for almost a year to get a crown because I wanted to find the right doctor that I trust. As soon as I finished my invisiliagn, I came to Dr.Chen for a consultation. I felt good about everything he said, explaining the process and really loved that the crown will be ready immediately. During my actual appointment to get my crown in, Dr.Chen was patient and listened to all my needs. He was working with me together to get the perfect shade that matches the rest of my teeth. He had to play around mixing the different colors a couple of times. I'm very happy with the end result. I'm so happy I did the research and found Dr.Chen! One of the worst experiences. Went here a while back and all I remember from my experience is the front desk receptionist being very very rude and being told my insurance would cover most of procedures I needed done but then got a surprise bill in the mail after paying what I was told was all the amount owed. Dentist I could say was okay, did good work but my overall experience was negative that I never went back. read more

This post is long overdue -- to start off, Dr. Jason and his staff are the absolute best! I came into the office initially to ask if they were able to cement my veneer back on that I got done at another office. They did it no problem, without charging me. I managed to save up to get all my veneers redone, because my old set was absolutely disastrous. They looked unnatural, bulky and resembled little chiclets (see picture for reference). I was questioned multiple times if my old veneers were fake by others (which isn't exactly what I wanted to hear after spending $10k) Dr. Jason, Mark and the rest of the team were able to construct a set of veneers that made me confident in my smile. They made me feel like I was in good hands. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and after a few adjustment appointments, it was achieved. woohoo! The funny thing was that the other office said that it wasn't possible to achieve the protrusion and angles I was asking for, which is why I settled. I explained to Mark what I wanted and he immediately understood what I was looking for! amazing. Dr. Jason's judgement for aesthetics was spot on and the tweeks he made really made a huge difference. He just looks at teeth and can see how an angle is off or too sharp. He is brutally honest about his opinions, which I find works in our favor because the guy is experienced and knows what he is doing! I have been wanting to update this for some time. I was with this business for several years. Long story short, about nine months ago, this place mailed a letter to me saying they were discontinuing my services as a patient. They sent it a day after I sent their office an email, expressing my concern about a rushed cleaning that lasted no more than 10 minutes. As a child, I grew up poor and my teeth were often neglected; I am paying a hefty price for them now. As an adult, I have paid a lot of money and time away from work, so of course I'm going to inquire about concerns during an appointment. Instead of welcoming my feedback, they terminated my services. This was embarrassing and surprising. My friends and family couldn't believe it. I have the letter for proof in case they try to dispute my comments. I thought about lawyering up because some of the work they did, including crowns and fillings, needed more touch up and i was in the middle of an implant procedure that they committed to. Though they did give me one final appointment, it was only after a specialist they referred me to months before, emailed them. Upon arrival, it was with bad energy from their staff. When I found this business, I was happy and treated with dignity. However, my regular dentist left, and started his own business. At which point, Nice Teeth went downhill. Again, this place terminated my services as a client a day after I emailed them to express my concerns about a rushed cleaning. read more

This is a long-delayed review of my visit almost exactly last year at this establishment. No clue why it didn't get posted but here it is: --- I normally abstain from leaving negative reviews for businesses considering the potential impact it would have on its revenue and clientele. However, it'd be a disservice to the public to not share my experience with Nice Teeth Dental. After all of the raving Yelp reviews I've read through, I really had high hopes for this local dentist. Save for the pleasantries encountered with the front desk reception, just about every other aspect of my dental cleaning experience was well... unpleasant. I had specifically requested for Bonnie after all of the raving reviews she had from other patients. Unfortunately, it seems I had encountered Bonnie on a bad day considering she roughly, if not aggressively, tugged my teeth during the cleaning. Also, she was inconsiderate of my welfare during the cleaning as she made no allowance for me to spit/suction my saliva. At times I was clearly choking on saliva and she wouldn't pause from cleaning to let me suction it out -I had to interrupt her and purse my lips to relieve myself. Granted, I was a few minutes late to my appointment but she had no professional excuse for committing what could easily be construed as passive-aggressive behavior. The entire cleaning process felt rushed. Objectively, my teeth didn't feel as clean/fresh as they would have from a visit with my prior dental office. When insurance cleared, it was clear that there are systemic issues with this business. I was charged more for a standard cleaning than I would have with my prior, very competent hygienist. (I never paid out-of-pocket costs for cleanings at my old dental office.) Not only are out-of-pocket costs irksome, but paying extra for the deplorable service I'd received was insult to injury. Bonnie had tried to up-sell me on a deep clean before my standard cleaning so I'm scared to think what expenses a deep clean would have incurred. Yelpers beware. The 5-star reviews for this business should be viewed with a grain of salt and heavily scrutinized for bias. read more

So before I moved to the central valley, I had some dental work done here... All the work my brother and I had done, fell apart within a year or so. Fillings came loose or fell out in general, my mouthguard I am supposed to wear at night, doesn't fit right, so I have to get a new one, which sucks, because that one cost over 300 dollars! I wish I could give 4 or 5 stars, because everyone in the office is super nice and patient, but they just don't do good work. read more

I felt compelled to write this review. I had been going to the same dentist in San Carlos for the past 20+ years and as I got married and had kids, it became a family affair. For the most part, everything was great but I was going to this dentist when I use to work in the Peninsula but now, my family resides in Oakland and the travel twice a year in the wee mornings (gotta beat that traffic) was taking a toll and a bit of an inconvenience. Hence, I opted to look for a new dentist closer to home and came across Nice Teeth Dental and all the positive reviews. My 2 daughters and I came first and everything seemed great. No issues and then my husband came and right off the bat, on his first exam visit, he is informed that his teeth was bad and he had beginning stages of gum disease. As a result, they scheduled him to come in for deep cleaning. Mind you, my entire family is diligent about going to the dentist every 6 months so we were completely baffled. My husband wasn't feeling this new dental office and made an appt with the original dentist who looked at my husband's teeth and gums and everything was fine. He was told there were nothing that showed gum disease and didn't need the deep cleaning. So, now, I'm extremely apprehensive about going back. My daughters and I haven't had any issues, but now, just based on the experience my husband had, I'm starting to wonder if I should go back to my original dentist.... I would have probably given them 4-5 star rating if my husband didn't encounter this shady interaction. read more

This review is based on my first visit here being a new patient and going in for my consultation appointment. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted by the two receptionists in the front, who were super sweet and friendly. What I loved the most was that I already got good vibes right away coming into this office. I was then called in, exactly at the time my appointment was supposed to start at 3 which was great because I'm used to waiting for an available dentist at other spots. The doctors assistant (who was super friendly as well) made me feel comfortable, and answered all of the questions that I had before Dr. Brian came to do my consult. Dr. Brian then came in shortly after and examined my teeth.
