I had my teeth cleaned and he did a great job. My mouth feels so good and my teeth feel so clean and smooth. He's always so kind to wipe so water doesn't run down my face. I appreciate it. Office experience very nice as always. read more

Young dentist that is very knowledgeable and was able to explain everything to me. Very impressed with quality of care and friendliness of staff! Recommended my husband to Dr. Siu! read more

When Dr. Khoe sold his practice to Dr. Siu, I felt confident that he would leave his patients in good hands. This has proven to be true. I love that this is a dentist office without all the high-tech fancy "bells and whistles." This is exactly what I look for in a dentist. I want good dental care without up -selling pressure to do expensive cosmetic procedures and fancy gizmos to entertain me. At my biannual visit today I was happy to see a newly hired dental hygienist. The previous one, that had worked for Dr. Khoe for years, was a kind and caring woman, who did an excellent cleaning, but she was also very talkative and high energy and a bit too familiar. Due to this, I found myself dreading my visit today because I was low energy. I was pleasantly surprised that there's now a new hygienist, a lovely young woman that I could relax with. I'm very happy that this continues to be my long-term dental practice. read more

Dr. Siu, who took over after Dr. Khoe retired, is gentle, skilled and listens. When I asked about the need for X-rays, he explained why but also allowed me to decide if that was the right choice for me. Recently he's cleaned my teeth himself ultrasonically - not only are my teeth cleaner, but he was done in 30 minutes. I've recommended him to other folks looking for a new dentist and they've been happy too! read more

there isn't much to say about Dr. Khoe other than he's arguably the most thoughtful, caring, and gentle dentist i've ever seen. my entire family have been coming here for over 25 years and during that time we have never have a bad experience with him and his amazing staff. his team is flexible with scheduling, their prices are beyond reasonable, and they take most insurance as well. this is a throwback "family" type of dentistry office, with Dr. Khoe as the nucleus...i always look forward to relaxing tunes from KOIT playing softly in the background while staring up at the clouds and sky light cover on their ceiling to put my mind at ease while he swaps out an old crown or just to do a regular cleaning. as a new parent, i am at ease knowing that Dr. Khoe will lovingly take care of my son when the time is right for his first checkup :) thanks for being you Dr. Khoe! YOU'RE THE BEST!!! read more

Michael Siu, DDS - girl scout cookies in their lobby! only the best for Dr. Khoe's patients!!! - Oral Surgeons Near Me - San Leandro, California

I was back for a second visit recently and extremely impressed again with the great quality of care and service at this dental office. The front desk assistant is thorough and helpful. And Dr. Siu is an EXCELLENT dentist. My procedure (a filling & crown fitting) was painless and easy. Dr. Siu is gentle, calm, thorough and attentive (providing clear explanations of what he is doing). Most importantly, he is just exquisitely skilled as a general dentist. I highly recommend him and his office to anyone seeking high quality dental care. read more

This place was first run by Dr. Khoe, but now by Dr. Siu. He is great! He does a thorough job, explains what is going on, and you're in and out in no time. All the staff are also friendly and do a great job. Would feel comfortable recommending Dr. Siu to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

I visited Dr. Siu's office recently as a new patient. I was greeted by the receptionist who was very pleasant and helped me with my paperwork. Shortly after, I was called in and seated. Dr. Siu did a thorough job with my exam and cleaning. It was apparent how skillfull yet gentle he was during the process. I'm so glad I chose this office. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

It'd been a while. Finally got some proper insurance and made an appointment. The staff is great, the doc is great, x rays, cleaning and fillings were a breeze. Come here for your dental needs and relax knowing it ain't so bad at Dr. Siu's. read more

So far so good! Scheduled one of my kids here during covid to check it out. Their prior dentist is no longer taking their insurance. The dental hygienist did the best job I've ever seen of explaining things to my kid and giving him feedback on the job he's been doing in a way that was helpful and informative without him feeling bad or feeling like he was getting a lecture. So well done. There was a high power air filter in each room, which was noisy, but which made us feel safer. I will schedule the other kid soon. read more

This appointment was probably one of the worst dental office experiences I've ever had. I was looking for a new dentist after my long-time and much respected dentist retired. I got a recommendation to Michael Siu, DDS. The whole office lacked social niceties, like simple introductions and explanations of what to expect during the visit. What was weird was that there was no conversation among any of the staff, least of all any offered to me. It was eerie. But the quality of the procedures, a checkup and subpar teeth cleaning, clinched my dissatisfaction. It didn't help that all this guy could say about my teeth was that they were dirty. Period. Going to keep looking for a good dentist. read more

Dr. Khoe saw me today on an emergency basis. I had a throbbing toothache and needed an emergency root canal. Once again, Dr. Khoe saved the day. You really cannot find a nicer, more thorough doctor. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Khoe for almost 30 years. His office staff has been the same for as long as I can remember-which really says something! My children have seen him for their entire lives! He is kind, thoughtful and has caught issues before they have been too big to handle. I have some deep pockets in the back of my mouth but thanks to Dr. Khoe we have figured out ways to deal with them! Kathy and Gabby are always so helpful with questions and when I need to change an appointment. They have become more automated in the past couple of years which makes it easier to confirm appointments and the like! I have referred several people to their office and they have all been appreciative of my suggestion. It is difficult to find a good, honest dentist! Would give Dr. Khoe 10 stars if that was possible! read more

Dr. Khoe has been my dentist since I was a child. He is so patient, kind and most importantly honest. He tells you exactly what you need and does not recommended unnecessary treatments or services. He's also great with children, my young daughter used to be very afraid to go to the dentist but thanks to Dr. Khoe she's at ease now. The front desk staff is great also Gaby & Kathy always greet you with a kind smile and warm words! read more

I had a really bad toothache and needed to see a new dentist. I made an appointment to see Dr. Khoe the same day I called in. Unfortunately, there was some confusion with my new dental insurance, and Dr. Khoe was not approved for my plan. But Gaby at the front desk was very helpful with contacting my insurance company and finding out who I could go to. She even let me use one of their office phones to make an appointment with my new dentist. She and the rest of Dr. Khoe's staff went above and beyond to help me out. If my insurance situation changes, I'd be very happy to go back to Dr. Khoe. read more

Excellent dentist, warm and welcoming staff. I like that it's a small office, you often get your teeth cleaned by the dentist himself. The hygienist I had today was very gentle as well which is a big plus to me. Another plus is that Dr. Khoe is conservative about filling cavities. My wife's previous dentist gave her a bunch of fillings but after she had "a dark spot" on her tooth today, Dr. Khoe just said we'd wait and see in 6 months. Makes sense to me. read more

Yes, I am among the many people of the world who are anxious when seeing the dentist, optometrist, or doctor. Who can blame us, right? But the front desk, dentists, and x-ray taker were all incredibly understanding, gave supportive advice, and were pressure-free. I'm glad I got my company benefits for dental insurance, as Khoe James DDS is a service worth getting! =) read more

I have been searching for a dentist for a while now and decided to go with Dr. Khoe. Every touch point of my experience has been more than pleasant. The receptionist, Kathy is extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly - scheduling an appointment and filling out the registration forms was a breeze (I could even email it to them before coming in). I didn't have to wait at all after coming in. Dr. Khoe and Fernando was incredibly warm, thorough and friendly. I seeked out advise and they were able to consult. He was very understanding and doesn't judge or speaks down, authoritative, to you like most other dentist do. I saw the hygenist Annette, who was able to comfort me during the clean. She was gentle yet thorough and even told me a joke or two. She was incredibly warm and charming. I would definitely welcome others to see Dr. Khoe and team. read more

Have been coming here for about 5 years. Everyone is always very friendly and professional. Dr. Khoe has a gentle touch when he's working on your teeth and I always feel relaxed and never tense when I'm in the dentist chair. I've considered going to another dentist closer to where I live ( because I moved to Brentwood from San Leandro 4 years ago) but I really like the experience when I come here. read more

I switched to Dr. Khoe due to insurance reasons. He's a Delta Dental PPO dentist and so our limits for insurance are higher with a Delta Dental PPO dentist vs. a Delta Dental Premier provider. Dr. Khoe is awesome! He is super nice and you can tell he really cares about giving you good care. The office is small and conveniently located on Dutton (blocks away from where I live so I can walk there). He's been there many, many years (20?) and you can really tell he has pride for his business. His office staff are really friendly and preauthorize work with the insurance. I had a cleaning and a filling. My husband had a cleaning and some work done as well. Both of us left feeling we had no regrets leaving our former dentist (of 20+ years) due to insurance reasons. I strongly recommend him. read more

I've been really impressed with Dr. Khoe's dentistry. Everyone from the support staff to the hygienist have been really helpful and knowledgeable. The office has a calm and slow (in a good way!) feel. I rarely have to wait for my appointment. My previous dentist was billing at the premium rate and there was out of pocket fee; Dr. Khoe bills at the basic rate and regular services are covered by insurance. I'm quite happy with this dentistry! read more

My family and I have been been patients of Dr. Khoe's for over 26 years and have received the most professional and courteous service each time. Yep, this is a small practice, but we get exactly the services/treatments needed during our visits while being in a welcoming, peaceful, no-pressure environment. I've referred many co-workers and friends here who complained about their previous dental offices' high pressure sales, staff not listening to their needs, lack of professionalism, bad billing practices, etc. You won't find any of that funny business here, which my long term patronage can attest to. People look at me sideways when I tell them that I love going to the dentist. I look forward to seeing everyone, catching up on happenings from the past 6 months, and sharing laughs (Dr. Khoe says he knows when I'm there because he hears laughing the whole time!). It feels like I'm visiting family when I'm there. read more

Michael Siu, DDS - Sign - Oral Surgeons Near Me - San Leandro, California

This Dr. handled my care very unprofessionally. He referred me to an outside Endodontics for a root canal. When it was time to do a Post and Build up he "dismissed" my treatment. Leaving me to have to search for care which has been a hassle. Its very unprofessional and inconsiderate to have a client/patient have to search for treatment without sending any Xrays or transferring the care appropriately. read more

Wow, has it been that long?!! Yes! Love Dr K. He's always so patient & kind. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon--i'll need notice to hunt for a replacement! lol I've done all my major work with him a few years ago and continued to come see him for 2x annual cleanings. Then, a year ago, I did some more crowns (on dental implants). So, things are stable and good, so hopefully it'd just be routine cleanings. read more

Doctor Khoe is a great honest dentist. I would have continued on with his practice but the office staff is highly lacking. They claim they have systems in place but they do not communicate well with patience's. They claim they reached out to my husband for an appt reminder via phone and text but it's he said she said and now they are charging missed appt fees. We have packed up our files and are moving on. This is super poor business practices and I am so disappointed!!!! read more

Dr. Khoe has been my dentist for the last 25 years. I couldn't recommend he and his staff more. Thoughtful, caring, flexible. Always on time. Never problems between his office and insurance. It's simple and it just works. In this faceless age of large healthcare bureaucracy, his easy going demeanor makes you look forward to going to the dentist and getting a warm welcome. read more

Our whole family has been seeing dr. Khoe for a couple of years now. My husband and I used to see a dentist who was really pushy about getting all kinds of procedures done. And every time we went, they made it sound like our teeth were in terrible condition. When they wanted to pull all my wisdom teeth out because one of them had a cavity, I asked if there was anything else we could do because I really wanted to avoid getting them all pulled (no dentist had ever told me I needed that). They suggested a crown on the wisdom tooth with a cavity. I was skeptical and looked for a dentist who could give me a second opinion. I found dr. Khoe and he thought there was no need to pull all the wisdom teeth, and he could also fill the cavity on my one wisdom tooth and we would just keep an eye on the rest of them. It's been 2 years now and I haven't had a problem. So glad I didn't listen to the first dentist. After my husband was charged way past what the insurance covered without even being warned, he switched as well. I love the staff at this dental office. They are all super friendly. I forgot my son's appointment once and they waived the fee because it was my first time missing an appointment. They are so accommodating to my kids, with books and crayons in the waiting room. My oldest son looks forward to seeing the dentist because he gets a cool toothbrush and a toy. Dr. Khoe is kind and friendly. It's not as high tech and fancy as the previous dentist office I used to go to. But I feel way better coming here where people are friendly and helpful than going somewhere I feel pushed to do all kinds of work so they can pay for their fancy equipment. Thank you dr. Khoe! read more

I had terrible mouth pain due to a growing wisdom tooth. I called last minute, they were able to see me and Dr. Khoe was able to clean my tooth and gave me prescription mouthwash until I could be referred to a surgeon. Kathy was so sweet and called multiple oral surgeons and left voicemails to make sure I could be seen even though most offices were closed due to 4th of July. They were so attentive and made me feel so welcomed. I had a previous dentist who didn't do 10% of what they did and I'm so happy I went there. read more

I have been going to Dr. Khoe since I was 3 years old. And now I have the honor of taking my now almost 3 year old and 5 year old to him. My girls love going there and look forward to seeing Dr. Khoe. Kathy and Gabby are amazing as well. They all feel like part of the family. Dr. Khoe is gentle on everyone including kids and the staff including Kathy and Gabby are so incredibly nice and accommodating. One time I went with my oldest when she was 3 1/2 and I was by myself. While I was getting my teeth cleaned, she kept her entertained and offered to watch her for me. I recommend Dr. Khoe to everyone I know! My entire family has been going to him for over 35 years as well as some of closest friends. I moved out the area 13 years ago and still make the drive to see him because it is worth it! read more

Dr. Khoe's office is great. The staff are very warm, kind, and helpful. They put you at ease immediately and are great at troubleshooting insurance issues. Dr. Khoe is gentle and takes time to explain any issues that come up in his exam. Highly recommend Dr. Khoe and his team! read more

Dr. Khoe had been my dentist for 15 years. After a career change our new insurance didn't offer Dr Khoe as a dentist, I had to go to a new dentist. The new dentist office was state of the art and the office staff was professional. Or so it seemed, on multiple occasions I had to wait half an hour or more past my scheduled appointment to see the dentist. They also called day of appointment on several occasions and canceled my appointment. I asked family and co-workers, none had ever experienced such wait times or cancellations, they recommended I find a new dentist. The dentist also did multiple expensive procedures costing me thousands of dollars. I felt like I was being convinced all these procedures that Dr Khoe didn't think needed to be done, had to be done. One of the crowns broke a week after procedure. The dentist replaced the crown at no cost, but now I felt I had to stay with the dentist a while to make sure all the dental work would be covered. After 2 years of a less than desirable dentist experience our insurance improved and I was able to return to Dr Khoe. You don't know what an amazing dentist you have until you are forced to try another. I called Dr Khoe and told him what a horrible experience I had and that I wanted to come back. I am now a very happy patient! Dr Khoe is incredible kind, thoughtful and has a gentle touch and most importantly does not do procedures unless they are necessary. The office staff are also incredible kind and professional. I highly recommend Dr Khoe !!! read more

I highly recommend this dental office. The staff are the nicest, most accomodating of any dental/medical ofc I've ever been too. They always call you to remind you of your appointment. Dr. Khoe is super nice and very experienced. I recently had my wisdom tooth pulled and it was relatively painless. Their office is very clean but soothing. Nice relaxing music playing and goldfish to look at. Overall, great dentist, great office. read more

I have had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Dr. Khoe, he is an excellent dentist, he's patient and very caring in what he does. Dr. Khoe was very displeased on how I was treated he and his manager Cat were very apologetic and has corrected what was.
