First impression, awful, and it was all downhill after that. I was escorted to what I thought was a very sophisticated and pricey X-ray machine, then had a vey very quick exam, and even quicker cleaning which I felt not very clean. Mind you I was charged extra because it was a "periodontal cleaning". I have insurance which is supposed to cover cleaning and X-Rays, still I paid over 200 out of pocked. I still got a bill for more money this week. I guess that based on the great Yelp reviews, they had an off day. I will be requesting my very expensive X-rays and will be back on the hunt for a new Dentist. My gosh, it is so hard to find a good place.

It's clear that their top priority is their patients' health - they really advocate for you and take the time to provide quality care. We did try other dentists for about a year because of the commute from Livermore to San Leandro, but nothing compared to the service and quality we get here. My 7-year-old daughter actually enjoys going - she feels safe and comfortable every visit, which says a lot. First, he could not explain a procedure that I wanted more detail about. He didn't give me enough pain medication, felt the drill a few times and when I told him ... he said that's just my gums! (Excuse me, but is there a separate charge to get those numbed too )... his standard response was "thank you for your patience", but he just kept saying it like a bot ... like he was programmed to say that, but not to take a beat to see if there were concerns ... when there were concerns he just rushed right past them ... he was way to rough! She said "I'm fine staying", because she could see how anxious that made me ... but he instead began to insist that she go! When I said I preferred that she stayed, he started arguing with me saying that is the way it's done and at 12p they go to lunch ... to which I responded that he shouldn't have started the procedure if he didn't have enough time, and that arguing with me in the middle of the procedure made me nervous. She, thankfully, stayed ... but i DO NOT see how he could have managed alone, given the amount of assistance that was needed moving forward. I could not wait to get out of that chair! He kept saying that everything looked good as he finished ... and sitting here, 2 hours after the procedure ... I know that isn't true! I can still feel the rough, messy bonding that he did, gripping to the side of my tooth, and feels like he may have nicked the side of my tongue with his drill! I'm not saying that you should not give that dental office a try ... just don't use him ... just don't!

The previous one, that had worked for Dr. Khoe for years, was a kind and caring woman, who did an excellent cleaning, but she was also very talkative and high energy and a bit too familiar. Due to this, I found myself dreading my visit today because I was low energy. I was pleasantly surprised that there's now a new hygienist, a lovely young woman that I could relax with.
