When I asked about the total, the nail technician brought over a calculator and went through the charges. I understand how the total was calculated--that wasn't the issue. My concern is that I was never informed that several of the services or options I selected would come with an additional $15 charge. I don't have an issue paying for services when I know the cost upfront, but I do have an issue being surprised by multiple additional charges at checkout. I would strongly suggest that the salon make sure their employees clearly communicate any additional costs before performing an upgraded service or adding a charge. Customers should have the opportunity to decide whether they want to pay extra before the service is provided. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning..

I wanted a gel manicure after removing acrylic nails, the nail tech didn't even trim my cuticles, or soak my hands in warm water just straight to the color. That's something I can look past mistakes happen, they took off the charge for the manicure. I spent an extra 15 dollars for a specific color they offered, it come out patchy and you can see the brush strokes which I wasn't very thrilled about. At check out my total was 55 dollars I had a 5 dollar off coupon for it being my fifth visit, she stamped it and wrote it off saying my new total was 50 dollars. On the receipt they charged 55 dollars, they took my 5 dollars off but didn't give me my 5 dollars off. I noticed too late I was already home when I looked at the receipt, I'm just overall disappointed. I definitely recommend booking with a specific nail tech instead of anyone that's available.

I do think sometimes they mistakenly double book, I always make an appointment and there's usually still a bit of a wait. So I make sure I go on days when I don't have to hurry somewhere after.
