DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Alfredo was referred to us by a neighbor. We were in need of painting in our condo hallway (with Dynasty flat matte + semi-gloss paint provided) and for a few doors to be taken off, stripped, painted, and rehung. The directions were very clear. Alfredo quoted us $1500 for that but we were able to come to an agreement on $1000. He promised the job would be done in 1 day and there would be 3 workers here. So given that my husband is a fireman with limited time home and we have 3 kids here, that sounded like exactly what we needed. We gave him the working hour window of 8am - 8pm, as the city code dictated. So yesterday arrived -- Alfredo came on time with 2 other workers, so of course the impression I had was that he'd be staying as well so there would be the 3 he'd promised. Nope. The level of confusion / language barrier they all had with the directions of what type of paint went where was completely counterproductive and not at all confidence inspiring. Amidst that, he said he should just use his own white paint from the truck and that "white was white". That should have been my 1st clue. Once we went around and around repeating the same directions, Alfredo seemed annoyed and said he had to leave to go to "Big Bear" for another job but would be back. This didn't sound right but I said ok. Zenia and Jorge were left to do the job. They were both very nice and seemed to be equally upset by the mismanagement of the morning. Alfredo left and painting begun 2 hours late. Perhaps it was the language barrier but what ended up happening was our flat matte white paint was sprayed on as a primer, with the semi-gloss over it, wasting an entire gallon of $60 paint unnecessarily. Alfredo also called mid-job saying he needed to charge us an additional $400 because he had to buy a primer ($90/can). We informed him the Dynasty paint had a primer in it already. He then said that 1 of our doors had been painted in an oil-based paint. Ok. But he could not substantiate the $400 in any way. My husband said, "if we go get the primer ourselves, what then?" He said it would be an additional $200 then instead of $400. The math still wasn't mathing... Biggest issue was the fact that we'd asked for the doors to be REMOVED, sanded/stripped, and repainted. Alfredo argued with me about the doors needing to stay hung and that he'd sand them inside our home which sounded lazy to me but I'm not an expert. The triple-layered paint that was on the doors from prior owners proved hard for Zenia to remove so the doors ended up needing be removed (big surprise). She took them downstairs to our common area bushes instead of using a sawhorse and started sanding them. We then had the HOA president pop by and tell us we couldn't have doors up against our bushes. So that was fun. It was taking more time and she was alone doing the work. Again, we were promised 3 people. Alfredo finally showed back up and was not too kind to his workers who were here. He ended up speaking with my husband and said that the job couldn't be done in a day and he'd need to come back on Monday (2 days later). Now mind you, we were left with all doors removed and unfinished, hinges painted over, needing to be stripped so the doors could be rehung. With 3 children and no doors, this was hardly a safe situation. My husband asked if he could come the next day instead (today) and he said no, then gave a ton of excuses why this was all our fault. So after being completely gaslit, my husband told Alfredo not to come back and that he wouldn't be receiving the full job amt since we now had to finish over half of it ourselves. So here it is -- Father's Day weekend and my husband is here having to mop up this a-hole's mess on 1 of his only 2 days home this whole week after fighting the Shore Fire for 6 days. More family time lost to a project that was supposed to be done by someone else. More work for my husband to do while our 3 kids wait for daddy to be available. All because Alfredo couldn't keep his promises and lacked enough integrity to stand by his word or work. Our fire door to the garage has already started peeling and there are a ton of gappy areas in the upstairs painting. So, the two stars are for the price which was low and Alfredo's responsiveness. Otherwise I would give zero stars. Here are my issues... 1) I specifically requested BEHR paint. They bought all Dunn Edwards. We had talked extensively about our prior poor experiences with DE and good experiences with BEHR. Yet, he ignored me and brought and painted with all Dunn Edwards. Found out when I came home. Bad surprise. 2) They used flat paint on my doors and trim. I requested semi-gloss. Now our house does not match and the doors are already looking dirty. 3) They broke two door stoppers and lost the other two. We had to replace. And we had to find the stoppers in the trash. They did not tell us. 4) They broke our shower curtain rod. 5) Paint on our carpet, wood floors and on the window. 6) See pics. I was hoping Nice and Fast would be our new go-to for painting but that is a definite no. They really blew it in too many crucial areas. To buy the wrong brand and finish of paint was pretty awful. Especially after we talked and texted both paint brand and sheen of the paint. Would not recommend. read more

Alfredo of Nice and Fast Painters was very responsive to my request for a quote. I obtained a total of 6 different quotes for painting almost 1,200 feet of rod iron fence. Although the height varied as high as 5 feet, the majority of the fence was 3 feet high. Quick mathematics would make this project over 3,600 square feet "times 2" since both sides of the fence were involved, thus over 7,200 square feet...that's a LOT!. Most companies stated they would use rollers to paint, apply two coats of paint, and Alfredo stated the same. I selected Nice and Fast Painters since Alfredo recommended the same as the other companies but was between $1,000 to $4,000 LESS than other quotes obtained. Although the start date was postponed due to weather conditions, Alfredo kept in touch and did not pressure me into proceeding until I was ready. He was very responsive to my phone calls and/or texts. On February 9, 2023, Alfredo showed up at 7:40 AM with an additional 4 workers, worked until 3:30 PM, and returned the next day with only himself and two other workers and worked from 8 AM until 3 PM and completed the job. He used Sherman Williams "Emerald" paint which is what my research revealed as one of the best and what a Sherman William's representative suggested was the best for rod iron fences. At around $80+/gallon this stuff is not cheap. It has polyurethane in it which makes drying faster, the paint longer lasting and durable. Alfredo, as well as I, completed several inspections during the job as well as at the end. He had his crew do some final touch up spots until I was satisfied, but most importantly, until Alfredo was satisfied. I would HIGHLY recommend Alfredo and Nice and Fast Painters. read more

I don't want to give a poor review as the job I asked for was accomplished. The cabinets look nice.....customer service, cleanliness, and professionalism need a lot of work. Alfredo did show up in a mask and was very nice. I wasn't very impressed with the lack of measuring or note taking. He offered me a price that was about 40% less than other quotes I had received so I jumped on it (my mistake). I was not given a quote, offered a selection of white paint, or an invoice or receipt for the deposit I put down (again, my mistake). He just pulled a random number out of the air with out consulting any sort of pricing guide or notes. Never even asked me what color white I wanted, I just assumed he was going to match the rest of the house (wrong) This should have been my first red flag. I was told they would come with "a lot of guys" on Friday and only one came to prep the house. He was approximately 1 hour late. I was told they'd come Saturday morning at 7am, again approximately 30 minutes late. Sunday 30 minutes late as well. They did a good job prepping the house and covering it with paper and plastic. They seemed to work fast. One their lunch break I offered the whole crew sodas and even a beer if they'd like. I as any gracious host would do, especially when it's hot out, said help yourself to the drinks in my refrigerator. What I did not appreciate is the liberties they took with this offer. They drank all my beer (was a brand new 18 pack) and even left the trash and box in the fridge for me to clean out, how nice of them. Again, I said "help yourself".....I've just never seen a "professional" actually do so and leave it for me to clean up. I'm not a painter but I have worked several jobs that require getting dirty and NEVER would I sit on someone's furniture in my work clothes or while on the job in general. I walked out once to find one of the workers sitting on my couch, to which I found paint on my couch that I spent all morning cleaning up (of course this was the one section that was not covered in plastic. They cleaned up relatively well when they were leaving, but I did not see a broom anywhere. I've spent the last few hours sweeping up after them and cleaning off paint spots of my appliances and back patio. The thing that upset me the most was the fact when it came time to pay the balance he tried to price gauge me....pulling more numbers out of the air. I requested hardware to be installed. I couldn't find the hinges I wanted and he insisted he found them and got the correct ones. WRONG. I requested matte black hinges and he got rubbed bronze and kept trying to tell me they were black. They look close enough and good enough, and had already put them in, wasn't worth the fight. Then he tried to charge me $70 to "find them" at Home Depot. I couldn't find the black ones, but there were plenty of bronze ones which took me all of 3 minutes to find when I initially went. He wanted $70 to buy the wrong hinges! Then he tried to hit me up for another $200 to have the handles and knobs I provided installed. Again this is all shame on me. I should have made sure this was all clear in the initial walk through. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone who looks for good customer service or professionalism. Will not be using again. If all you want is your cabinets painted, these are yours guys. The owner said he'd be at the house at 11AM because he had an appointment in Brea at noon. At 11:20 he still wasn't there. I called him because I had another appointment to go to. Alfredo, the owner, said he was in Chino and he was going to be late. I asked him how come he didn't call to let me know he was running late. He didn't have an answer nor did he apologize.
