First I have to start by saying that I normally avoid contracting people to come into my house to do work. I have been planning to paint our house for years and finally had to accept that I needed help. I was dreading having to figure out who would come and work on our home. After reading review for Belman's Painting I decided to call for a quote. First of all, Rick is amazing. From the get-go I could tell that he was experienced and trustworthy. He walked the house, asked me how much work I was interested in doing on the home, and provided me with ideas on what his crew would do for us. He listened to me and was just very direct about what his team would do for us. That night he gave us a quote and said: I promise that my crew will do the very best....and they ABSOLUTELY did! The crew showed up every day super early and worked all day to get our home done in a week! My husband said: "These guys are like the Lebron James of painting", and he is not off that mark. We hit a hick-up right at the very beginning. We wanted to paint our Pergola, but as we started looking more closely at it we quickly discovered that it was in a worse condition than we originally thought. Rick said that his crew could fix a couple of boards if that was all that was wrong, but as we looked the whole thing was totally trashed. Rick took the time to find someone who could come in and fix our Pergola so that his crew could still finish painting it the same week! WHO DOES THAT? He literally found the person, told him what needed to get done, and made sure that this person did the job right in time for his crew to do their job! WHAT? AMAZING! Like I said, I really dislike dealing with contractors and it meant SO much to me that Rick did this for us. Let me start by saying Rick and his team are awesome! We called Rick for an estimate on our 60 year old home. We needed the entire home exterior painted, along with some stucco repair from years of "earthquake" cracks. Rick was punctual on the day of our estimate; he was very knowledgeable and honest. He listened to our every request. He gave us a very fair price for a full paint job, and to re-stucco all damaged areas! We agreed to the estimate right on the spot! We were expecting a mid-November start date based on other estimates we had received. NOPE! Rick assured us he can start in a couple of days. That's exactly what they did. They covered everything, masked everything, and on top of it all, they were very meticulous!!! Led by Abel (awesome worker!!!), the team worked 5 hard days (even worked on a Saturday) to transform it from the ugly duckling on the block, to a pristine gem! We ran into some rotted wood, but Rick was able to recommend someone (MHC Roofing) who came out and quickly fixed everything for a reasonable price!! I have a large property with wood siding (combination of wood from 1950's, 2000's, and Masonite). The original paint was about 14 years old, and it was still in great shape, just a tad dull. My family and I had just re-roofed the house and replaced the rotten fascia boards, so we decided to re-paint the house. Our original contractor who had replaced some of the wood siding and the fascia boards had also introduced us to a "really good painter." Needless to say, the contractor and painter left our property with more problems than expected. The painter prepped the house by power washing with chemicals, used Bondo to fill in wood siding seams, and did not cock the windows, doors, nor underneath the wood siding boards. So when the painter said he was finished, I saw white residue over the paint, cracks in the original cocking, bubbling of paint, cracks in the wood side boards, overspray on windows and underneath the new roof, and rough surfaces because he sprayed over dust. The painter said he would fix it until we were happy, but after a couple of "attempts," my family and I decided to get another opinion. I searched the Yelp reviews and Rick is such a blessing to find. Rick is an awesome Christian man and a fantastic painter. He has a crew of 3-4 men who have been with him for a number of years. They take pride in their work and clean up after themselves. Rick said the job would take 5 days, but they finished in 3.5 days! So, Rick agreed to repaint the garage door because the first painter over sprayed it! Plus Rick saw how poorly our gates looked (the original contractor built 4 gates and the painter painted them, but both left the gates with splits in the cocking and huge paint bubbles). Rick and his crew took the remaining of the 3rd day and a 4th day to do the gates. Bottom line, my family and I are so grateful for Rick and his crew because they know their craft and they did the job in the right kind of way. They are professional, hard working, humble, considerate, and honest! Rick will tell you honestly what is best way or product for the job to be done right. We needed our house not only repainted, but the old stucco needed repairing in many places and we had installed some windows ourselves that required patchwork. I called Richard Belman and he came out the next day. Said he could do it all and later that day I received a very fair and good price for all of the work. I spoke to Rick, the owner, and told him that I just bought a home and wanted to know if I could get an estimate on how much it would cost to paint the interior. Rick Belman and his crew just finished painting the exterior of our house. He asked if I felt comfortable writing a Yelp review about the job. I am very happy to do that. Rick's bid was not the lowest but it was in line with most of the others we received. What really set Belman's Painting above the others was Rick's level of communication. During the estimate he went over everything in great detail. He asked lots of questions about how we wanted things done (he answered a lot of my questions too). He then took great pains to make sure that everything we discussed was included in the paperwork we signed before starting the job. It was a great source of confidence to have Rick, the owner of the company, onsite everyday, ALL DAY managing the project. They were here for three days. Each day Rick would check in with me before work started and at the end of the day to make sure we were happy. The few things I mentioned were immediately taken care of with no haggling. In addition, he corrected several items that were not in the agreement at no extra charge. The crew was hard working and courteous. There was no goofing around. They worked non-stop from 8 to 4. Belman's Painting painted the interior of my home in 3 days. Rick and his 5 man crew did a super job to our large 4 bedroom home. Rick asked us what we wanted done and explained how he and him crew would do it. They went above and beyond what was expected. Their attention to detail was surprising. Compared to other painters we had, Rick and his crew completed the job outstandingly. Our house was a medium coffee brown and after Rick finished, no brown could be seen anywhere.
