We are very disappointed with the quality of the work considering all the good reviews... However, our experience was mostly negative! Starting with Russell who promised an exceptional job, but when the paint bubbled up he came up with excuses, contradicted himself, even put words in my mouth, and never took responsibility for his mistakes. He messed up our front porch, used cheap material to save some money, and it's looking worse than before with bubbles all over. We hired A1 painting because they're supposed to be the 'professionals' in this field and expected them to have the knowledge to deal with any type of situation/weather. If the heat was a problem for doing quality painting, I wish that was communicated to us from the beginning. Instead they went ahead with doing the job and then blamed external circumstances for their failure. Secondly, they gave us a quote and said they'd use the best quality paint for the job. However, I overheard them speaking to each other and mentioning they saved money on the materials. Two stars for the decent work Walter has done on the doors. read more

We've used Russel and A1 painting several times over the years and they always respond timely and have the job done quickly and well! We've repainted the entire interior, had them patch drywall, and paint the exterior. We've also used them for small jobs like a bathroom wall and most recently just a couple touch up walls where we removed some shelving and there were holes. They matched the paint really well and you'd never know we had drilled and repainted. I appreciate that they don't require a minimum amount of work and they are so so efficient. Every time we've reached out the job is done within a couple days and their pricing is fair. The owner personally came out and painted for us this time so it would be done quickly Great company, great people! read more

I sent out six requests for estimates for a small job I needed done. Out of the six only four replied with estimates within about three to four hours. The other two never replied. It was about a three hour job to sand, prep then prime and paint an outside metal closet door. Russell actually replied with a reasonable estimate within an hour. I found him to be friendly honest, and professional. Since it was a small job and his crew was out on a bigger house painting project he did it himself rather than have me wait. He did a great job as you will see in the photos. I highly recommend A1 Painting. read more

If you're looking for a good painting company, call Russell. Russell answered the phone immediately when I called requesting for a quote and came out for estimates the next morning. Russell is very honest, professional and his pricing is fair for the great work that was provided. Russell sent Walter over to paint our house. There was nothing negative I could say about Walter. Very personable, very professional and despite the heat, always had a smile on his face. Walter listened to everything that we asked and requested. He made sure we were happy! He came on time every morning. He prepped and masked the house like it was his very own. Left the house very clean every day before he left! We were thrilled with A1 Painting! Getting a quote from Russell was quick and easy. Alex painted our entire elinterior and was just so fantastic to work with. He was so nice and polite and personable, he came on time and communicated great all throughout the process. The quality of his work was unbelievable. My 1955 house looks like new drywall was put in - it's given this old house new life! Highly recommend. Will use again when the time comes to paint our exterior. read more

Russell was the only one of several bids that actually came out in person to review the job prior to providing an estimate. I appreciate the way Russell communicated over the phone and through text throughout the entire process. Russell came out on short notice to complete an interior paint job and did excellent work. In Glendora, California we wanted to get our kitchen cabinets painted and a large floor to ceiling brick fireplace hearth "whitewash painted"... Some painters who responded did not seem to have experience with "whitewashed paintings", nor with cabinet painting, but attempted to "finagle" that they did... Russell seemed knowledgeable and trust worthy and we hired him after he had finished another job in the area; he and Alex did our projects within a week. - - the price was reasonable... Both Russell and Alex were trustworthy and did a super job on our projects, and we highly recommend them... Thank y'all. read more

Walter and crew did a great job. It took a bit of time to get started due to May Grey and June Gloom. Once they started, they were all business. Lots of communication and follow up ensure I was happy. The house looks great!!! 3 neighbors on the street also inquired about painting their houses. I would recommend A1 Painting to anyone looking for house painting. read more

Russell and his team did an amazing job repainting our interior. He is extremely thorough and detailed and comes in person to ensure he has all the specifics you want for the job. Additionally he was very easy to reach as well as communicate and coordinate during the entire process. At the end of the job he double checks to make sure you're happy with every aspect, I would certainly call A1 for any future projects. read more

A1 did a great job on my large house. I've found cheap blow and go guys and some that charge ridiculous amounts thinking people will assume they MUST be better because they are so expensive. Rus is neither of those. I got four quotes and based on price and reviews I made the right choice with A1. They spent a lot of time on prep and anyone who knows paint will tell you that's critical. No weird stories, no no-shows like you always hear about, just a great team that really cares about results. Kudos to Alex and Walter the painters. Really good guys. Labor is the most important and most expensive part of painting. Make sure you get paint you want too and understand the differences before you spend the money. Super happy with the results and A1 painting. read more

A1 Painting did a FANTASTIC job on my 2 story home. Messaged them here on Yelp, Russell responded quickly and kept everything very easy and professional. We set up a walk through for the next day and gave me the numbers end of that day. Didn't hassle me with follow ups, I called a week later to approve and 3 days later they were completed. Alex, Walter, and George were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure all was covered and all painted very well, fixed some texture issues as well. Thank you Russell, definitely look forward to using you guys again! read more

Russell was great, reliable and on time. Pricing was very competitive and I appreciate his attention to detail.

We needed 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom painted. My husband called A1 Painting and immediately spoke to Russell who came out the next day to give us a quote. He gave us a very reasonable quote and had our best interest in mind so we chose him for the job. Russell himself came the next day to start the job and finished in 3 days, about 5 hours each day. He came on time every day. Russell is a skilled painter and a really nice guy. He did an amazing job color matching the paint and painting the rooms while keeping everything neat and clean. We're happy we chose Russell for the job and would choose him again if we ever need another painting service! Highly recommend Russell for your painting jobs! read more

Russell is a constant professional. Fair priced, finished on time, professional, paint turned out beautiful. What else do you need? Yes, he worked with my schedule to meet. Yes, we did a detailed walk through of the house after the work is done. Yes, he told me what he can do what he cannot do. Yes, always kept me in the loop as he was working on my house, from sending me picture of the paint he picked up to make sure it matches to what my wife wants, to sending me picture of the progress of the paint. Overall, very satisfied with his work and most of all his professionalism. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

A1 Painting did a spectacular job on painting the exterior of our home! It looks so beautiful. Russell was very helpful when it came to the repairs on our house. Alex and Jorge were instrumental in repairing, and putting a new stained wood ceiling on my porch. It came out just perfect. They did a great job on all the prep work, especially on our deck. Alex and Jorge came everyday until the job was done. They never dripped any paint, and they made sure that everything was cleaned up before they left. I would highly recommend A1 Painting to anyone. They get the job done right, and are very efficient. read more

My spouse and I recently purchased our house and needed to have our kitchen wall, kitchen cabinets, master bedroom wall, master bath wall, second bathroom wall, walls in our other two bedrooms, exterior (main house and detached, two-car garage with bonus room), and front door frame and front window frames painted. Given my neuroticism, I typically do my own research to determine the maximum amount I would be expected to pay. We decided to seek the painting services of Mr. Russell Jenkins, based off of reviews I found of his services around the area (in proximity to La Verne). I called him on a Friday and he met with me the following day- Saturday. He examined our property and provided us with a very reasonable quote and timeline, as well as useful advice. All the work we needed to have completed was below the estimate I found via my online research! Further, the work would be completed in nine days (five days for interior, four days for exterior), with the interior work completed right on time for my spouse and I to move in! Mr. Jenkins started work that Monday, promptly at 8am, with two of his teammates- Jorge and Alex. Mr. Jenkins reviewed with me our contract and gave me advice on interior colors that would highlight my ceiling, crown molding, and baseboards, but still was in the same color family I preferred. Instinctively, I knew I could trust A1Painting. Thus, I left my house key and garage opener for the men to do what they needed to do, as I left for work. During the painting process, I was impressed at how Mr. Jenkins, Alex, and Jorge sealed off areas that did not need to be painted- quite thorough, I think! Mr. Jenkins even offered to do a little extra (beyond our original discussion) with our kitchen cabinets, without any extra fees! How cool is that? The painting team also locked up our house and closed our gate every day, after they completed work for that day. Upon completion, I was blown away by how incredible our home looked! It looked like a whole new home! The color Mr. Jenkins recommended was perfect! On top of that, they finished the job even earlier than expected- by the end of the week- Friday (five days instead of nine days)! It was a great surprise! Given the commitment to quality work and work integrity, I want to ensure that A1Painting receives its due recognition and customer support. I appreciate the work Mr. Jenkins, Alex, and Jorge have done on our home! They do excellent work! For skeptical folks, check out our before and after photos! read more

My wife and I purchased a vacation home in Lake Arrowhead a year ago and decided it was time to paint the exterior of the property since it was showing signs significant damage. After searching through Yelp for a reliable painter in the area, I narrowed my choices to 4 local painters to invite over for an estimate. Tye Edelman, the owner showed up on time and walked me through the process and went in to detail what I could expect. Of the four companies I interviewed, 1A Painting was the only one that gave me a recent list of jobs they completed in the area. After driving by and checking out some of there work, we decided to give the job to A1 Painting. The job took about two and a half weeks, which was what Tye predicted the job would take. The crew that came out were extremely friendly and very professional. The crew was lead by Robert who along with Billy, Rory and others did an amazing job of painting our house. It turned out better than we expected and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The price was extremely fair and the entire process went off without a hitch, even with the complexities of painting on a slope. I would highly recommend Tye and the gang at A1 Painting for all your painting needs. read more

Called for a couple of quotes but overall comfortable with A1 Painting after Russell took the time to talk through the process and any concerns. Hire Russell! I called him on a Sunday morning, he came to my house that day and gave me an estimate. He finished the job three days later.
