Service is excellent and the entree portions are definitely shareable or family-style - we love that so everyone can try a little bit of this or a little bit of that. Oh my gosh--Marisel at the Marriott Fairfield Hotel recommended NGO as her favorite restaurant, and I msee why! The food is incredibly fresh, thoughtfully curated, and absolutely delicious. You'll want to try everything on the menu! The Boba drinks are just as amazing, and the service goes above and beyond. I had such a great time and even got to take some food home--bonus fun! The best experience for our dinner last night was the exceptional server. We had not dined at NGO for a couple of years so we thought we would give it a try. We ordered chicken bun combos and the food came out very timely. The egg roll was delicious and very hot. However the chicken was dried out and had a smell. We also ordered spring egg rolls and the outside was very tough which was weird. Both my husband and I cook and we know fresh food. The chicken was not fresh. We both took the food home but I'm not going to eat it. Sorry to leave this review but it's the truth . read more

This place is a hidden gem in rockport! This was our first time trying it and we definitely will be back each year that we come. The platters were huge, definitely could share between people. The flavors were also really good, not too salty where you feel bloated after. Our server Franklin was very knowledgeable about the menu and helping us decide between dishes, he even had the kitchen split the lo mein for me and my sister since we were sharing. Dang! Tried Ngos for the first time today and mind blown! We ordered the Allstar stirfry with fried rice, egg roll, and an order of crab Rangoon. Holy cow! The stir fry has shrimp, beef and chicken, and PLENTY of it! The beef was absolutely delish. The chicken is solid, and the shrimp is huge! The crab Rangoon were also large and fried crispy. My husband and I ate our fill and still have enough for lunch tomorrow. One meal easily feeds 2 or 3. Great value and wonderful people. read more

Wow!! Just wow!! If you have not or don't plan to eat for about a week, this place is for you!! The portions are ridiculously large, which is a good thing... you will get your moneys worth. I had the stir fly combo with the thick noodles and the wife had the sesame chicken. But were cooked perfectly and taste was great. After eating for 30 mins, we still have leftovers for at least two more meals each. Waitress was very tenative and the place has plenty of room. Just be aware they are only open on weekdays and closed on weekends. read more

This place is a little piece of Asian (primarily Vietnamese) food heaven in a strip mall in a beach town in Texas. From the friendly, warm staff to the delicious food (OMG the pho and the dumpling soup!!!) to the little things like packing up your leftovers with a disposable version of the Asian soup spoon. 10/10 recommend. LARGE portions, so prepare for leftovers! I ordered the chicken and broccoli stir-fry and the texture of the protein and veggies was on point! Be aware that when you order this dish, they do give a LOT of liquid, which I found odd. I ordered takeout and ended up with a bit of a mess, as I was not advised that the dish had a lot of liquid in the styrofoam container. As far as the food goes, only thing it needed was some salt. Picture is my wife and her huge bowl of Pho, it was so huge that we both had it the next day and it was still delicious, I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and omg it was the biggest banh mi I've ever seen and of course I ate it all because I couldn't stop because it was also delicious, oldest son had the shrimp fried rice and it was also huge, rice was delicious and the shrimps were huge but son likes them a little charred and so do I, next day I put them back on the pan and gave them some nice color and added back to the leftover rice and yummy. We went with friends to NGO for an early dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful! My husband and I shared shrimp fried rice and an order of dumplings. The shrimp was huge! We had enough to take home for lunch the next day. Our friends for the beef and broccoli and Lo Mein. They said it was delicious and they had a lot to take home, as well. We did not know it was BYOB but we will know next time to take some wine. read more

Ngo's Dine In in Rockport, TX We've heard many good things about this restaurant, since we're visitors to the area. After staying here a month, we've tried many local restaurants. Most of which are pretty mediocre. That brings us to this review. Ngo's food was fabulous. Definitely the best food we have tasted in Rockport. Hubby ordered the fried rice meal with vegetables and chicken. ($14) The serving was humongous. He said the taste was great. Hot and fresh. Plenty of vegetables and chicken. I ordered the Sesame Chicken Stir Fry with chicken. ($14) The huge portion of chicken was covered with a delightful, scrumptious sauce and plenty of sesame seeds. The chicken was not breaded and heavy, like Chinese restaurants. Just well cooked and well seasoned chicken. Yum. And the side of fresh steamed vegetables (carrots, zucchini, yellow squash and broccoli) were steamed and cooked to perfection. Slightly crisp, but well seasoned and gently cooked.The fried rice was a bit different from the traditional Chinese fried rice I am accustomed to. Our server, Brandon, was great. He was patient and kind and well versed in the menu. He explained things to us about the menu, as we had many questions. ​ He was excellent.
