Him and his partner David showed up early and knocked out the job efficiently and quickly. He did not charge us until after the job was done and he was very accommodating. I highly recommend! A few days before the delivery date, Nacho called me to confirm everything. The morning of the delivery Christian and David arrived early (fine with that!) and introduced themselves and began laying down heavy duty rugs at the garage and front door entrance into the house. David was obviously the foreman and he and Christian worked well together. Very patient and kind with each other especially as they worked the larger items into the house and set them up. They asked for my input throughout the morning on where to place things. They provided an efficient unloading process. The only thing amiss was they couldn't locate my queen bed frame. That was no issue because Nacho delivered a replacement and set up the bed for me. Nacho has been in business for many, many years and I learned that he genuinely enjoys what he does. He is a positive and family oriented individual. I appreciate his and his team's professionalism, friendly nature, and that they bring truly a quality and affordable service to our community.

Absolutely horrible moving company!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT ¼ OF YOUR BELONGINGS…read moreDAMAGED OR BROKEN!! They did not plan enough time to properly package all of our small items, so at the last minute, crammed everything into random "containers", including my turkey fryer, laundry hamper bags, etc. Even items on our High-Value list were damaged, including an authentic Edison phonograph (was packaged upside down, resulting in the wooden lid getting cracked). Our belongings were taken to a warehouse in Tucson, which apparently were set alongside some other person's belongings - some of our items were lost, & we ended up with items that were not ours! Items were scattered so badly at the warehouse that our delivery truck driver told us that he almost didn't take the load (and fortunately he showed us the pictures of the mess - broke my wife's heart & just pissed me off!). Delivery team was just as bad - they did not call off the item numbers of the packages as they were bringing them inside our house. Basically told us we had to check the inventory ourselves. We have moved several times over the past 10 yrs & have NEVER had a moving company do that to us. Claims process for broken/damaged items was exhausting - took 4 months to complete! In the end, United/Horizon did not honor items that were clearly broken because of their negligence, including a Roomba that was not packaged (!!) & did not have an item # on it. It is clear this company does not hire competent or qualified employees & is only concerned with getting paid. I shared the cost of the move with my employer, and neither myself nor my employer will every use this company again for relocation!

I chose to move out of state with Horizon after a very close selection process, and I wish I had…read morechosen the other company. The sales / estimate meeting was convincing. Lynette clearly knew her stuff. We talked through our household full of too many items, and her estimate was more detailed and probably more accurate than the one from the other company, for almost the same price. We scheduled the move... then radio silence. The main issue seems to have been an incompetent move coordinator, who didn't reach out unless we called first. One day before the planned pickup and I had to call THEM to ask about arrival times! Given how moving can be challenging and emotional, I expected much more hand-holding, or at least a phone call. We are experienced movers (military), and I've never had such little contact from the moving company before the move. Packers showed up and did a pretty good job, as far as we could tell (I hope not to have to update this part of the review when our stuff arrives). They did what was in the estimate. Meanwhile, we were working our butts off packing (I wanted to pay them to do but but somehow got talked out of that, which was a combination of miscommunication and perhaps lacking salesmanship). The crew showed up the next day and told us how much was left to do, which was demoralizing and not quite accurate...in any case, they spent 2 full days loading. We thought that "the driver" was the same one to take our truck to our new home, but learned that it would be transferred to another driver. The whole time, we were very clear about wanting our truck on a specific day, to maximize use of my husband's vacation time. We were given a window (normal), but our shipment is the only stuff on the trailer, and it shouldn't take more than a week to move a truck 800 miles. Two extra days is an inconvenience, but more important here is the continued lack of communication and leaving our situation up to an unmotivated and (hopefully) inexperienced coordinator. I have complained directly and am told each time that we will get a survey after the move, which is nice to know but doesn't improve anything now. Bottom line - I feel woefully neglected as a customer. We are spending over $10k on this move, and I except better service, as I have experienced with moves in the past. I regret my choice of company and if we were to do it again, I would go with the other guy in a heartbeat.

On all three of the moves,…read moreI've had furniture damaged or destroyed and sadly this move was no exception - and I was only moving 2 pieces of furniture! Even though the dresser was wrapped and not heavy, part of the base was still ripped off, so it will no longer sit level and there is a gouge in the side. Now I get the fun of dealing with Unigroup for my claim again, along with trying to get reimbursed for several broken or missing dishes (I packed everything except my breakables). My load also showed up 8 days late - I understand there's a driver shortage but I was told everything was on time until a day before the original delivery date (container move with a firm delivery date) and then was told by the move co-ordinator "I have no idea where your stuff is." My stuff wasn't even in the right state until several days later.

I don't know what happened, if they miscalculated our belongings and the size of the truck, but they couldn't get all of our belongings on the truck, so they had to call in a second truck. Well, it took the second truck 5 weeks to get to our Illinois location. They came up with excuse after excuse, meanwhile I was missing a lot of household items that we needed to set up our new house. I would never recommend this company to any family or friends. Evelyn

I talked to Joseph (owner) and am so thankful for the wealth of moving knowledge he shared with me…read more I was hoping to use his company for a full-service move, as my parents are moving across the country to live with my family. We are taking 2 bedrooms' worth of furniture plus a fair amount of boxes. A full service move wouldn't be cost effective for my folks so he suggested an alternative that turned out to be a good choice for them. Not only that, he could tell I was stressed over our situation and was so kind, I was able to calm down and continue with moving forward with all of my many other tasks. If I ever had to move with a full service company, it would be Strong Brothers Moving. I can understand why they have such good reviews!

After recently losing my husband, I needed to downsize and begin a new chapter. I chose a home that…read morewas half the size of our previous one--no stairs, low maintenance, and far more manageable for me. In the months leading up to the move, I painstakingly culled, donated, discarded, and gave away many meaningful items from our workshop and home, ensuring they went to people and organizations who could truly use and appreciate them. It was an emotionally and physically demanding process. Choosing the right movers was critical. I interviewed several movers, and many were uninterested in handling fine art, a grand piano, in having a thoughtful conversation about the complexity of my move or lacked proper insurance that would cover a meaningful loss should one occur. From my first interaction with Joseph, one of the co-owners of Strong Bros., however, I felt heard and respected. He readily acknowledged that my grand piano required specialty movers, but--importantly--he also showed genuine interest and care for the art my husband and I had collected over the years. Before making a final decision, I requested some names of other clients the company had moved and received glowing reviews. I am very glad I followed their recommendations. Joseph promised a stress-free, damage-free experience, and delivered on that promise. Joseph came to my home, thoughtfully walked through each room with me, and meticulously documented what would be moved and what would remain. After I spent several weeks doing a substantial amount of the packing and moving myself, Joseph returned for a second visit, reassessed the scope of the move, and offered a discount at my request in recognition of the work I had already done. I deeply appreciated hat level of fairness and integrity. Joseph and Andrew arrived on time every day during the move, were consistently polite, professional, and fully engaged, and spent four days to complete the move. While Strong Bros. was the most expensive of the companies I interviewed, their value was unmistakable. Their care in handling my belongings, their attention to detail, and their commitment to proper insurance coverage--far beyond the bare minimum--gave me peace of mind during an otherwise stressful time. What ultimately sets Strong Bros. apart, however, is not just the quality of their work, but the quality of their character. Beyond the logistics and cost of the move, Joseph and Andrew took a genuine interest in my story and my needs. They treated me with kindness, patience, and respect in every interaction--before, during, and after the move. I would recommend Strong Bros. Moving Company without hesitation and with sincere gratitude.
