A few days before the delivery date, Nacho called me to confirm everything. The morning of the delivery Christian and David arrived early (fine with that!) and introduced themselves and began laying down heavy duty rugs at the garage and front door entrance into the house. David was obviously the foreman and he and Christian worked well together. Very patient and kind with each other especially as they worked the larger items into the house and set them up. They asked for my input throughout the morning on where to place things. They provided an efficient unloading process. The only thing amiss was they couldn't locate my queen bed frame. That was no issue because Nacho delivered a replacement and set up the bed for me. Nacho has been in business for many, many years and I learned that he genuinely enjoys what he does. He is a positive and family oriented individual. I appreciate his and his team's professionalism, friendly nature, and that they bring truly a quality and affordable service to our community.

Alpha Force Moving Company - Beautiful bedroom unload!

Alpha Force Moving Company

We were amazed and grateful at how professional, fast, efficient AND gracious these gentlemen were. A dear friend was moving from a rented room to her new apartment. We offered to help, not realizing the move would include many heavy pieces of furniture. Ooops! Problem 1) Far past retirement, we're no longer physically able to move anything bigger than smalls and non-heavy boxes, so we needed 'muscle for hire'... Problem 2) We had no idea who to call, since we haven't moved in nearly 20 years. Back then ('cause we could), we moved it all ourselves... we never had to get help. After sorting thru more than a dozen companies' online profiles & reviews, and getting actual quotes from four prospects, Alpha Force Moving was at the TOP of our list for the Best of the Best. Early on, Steven was great with phone help, and answered all my questions patiently. He let us know what was involved (truck rental needed), what materials/tools they would bring/include (saving us money), and how they serve each move to meet different customer situations. Even with that excellent service, attitude and customer care, they were also REALLY reasonable with their fee. I realized "Hey... we can do this (on budget) for our friend!" On the day of the move, Alpha Force contacted us to confirm truck pickup and timing. They let us know that Ricardo & Nick were on the way to meet us and their team rolled seamlessly with our change in Truck pickup location (Oracle instead of Prince location). At the rental desk, Ricardo was authorized as the driver on my rental (easy peasy) so I didn't even have to take the wheel of the 15ft truck (which, I admit, I was not looking forward to driving... just too big). I forgot to mention it was RAINING, too! I never would've been comfortable wheeling that big truck around! At the house, they were ultra careful with our friend's furniture and belongings, using blankets and wrap where needed. Ricardo and Nick quickly had all the furniture safely loaded, and the homeowner was pleased at the care they took moving the big stuff around her wall corners and property. They even grabbed the boxes and smalls I thought we'd have to take ourselves in the Kia later (had thought we'd run out of the time/rate I'd budgeted for). They drove the best route to the new place, and had everything safely moved into the apartment WELL within the time scheduled. Did I mention they worked closely with our friend making sure these big furniture pieces wouldn't need to be re-positioned later, too? Super helpful, given that we're all seniors here, lol, so where Alpha Force was placing them, they were going to stay :-) And finally, they handled getting the truck safely returned to UHaul and checked in (early even!) so I could stay and help my friend get settled. Anyway, the above is a lot of detail, but my takeaway was I never want to move anything without Alpha Force! They treated us like family, and their professionalism made this move so much easier than any I've ever done myself in years previous! They're a GREAT team... friendly, accommodating, considerate and just wonderful to work with! I HIGHLY recommend these guys.

Ben was also communicative before arrival AND A WIZARD STRATEGIST/packer: the 3-man team quickly moved goods out of the house & Ben organized everything into a medium sized box truck, including my piano & other furniture for an interstate trip--everything was wrapped up, stacked/packed so that it all arrived safe & sound (no damage, scratches, slipping or sliding in the truck)!! Did I mention everyone was punctual & finished within the scheduled time? Cuz they were. This move & life was SO MUCH EASIER & SMOOTHER BECAUSE OF THE Alpha Force Team. 15 out of 5 stars if I could!!!

Caring Transitions of Southern Arizona - one of their auctions I'm watching!

Caring Transitions of Southern Arizona

(33 reviews)

My review is long overdue and ridiculously well-deserved. I'm a customer of CT Southern Arizona on…read morethe other side of the equation, that is, I bid in the auctions of your loved ones' carefully-curated belongings. Spoiler alert, my work with this CT location is positive and I'll give details below, however, I'd like to address one reviewer's comments. The Southern Az CT has very, very little control over what we bidders are willing to pay for items and almost all bidding starts at $1 so if someone felt their family did not receive what they should have, pls understand, as bidders we are looking for a bargain--most auction bidders are--and Unless an item is very unique, scarce or custom--when the bids go higher than we'd like to pay we just stop bidding and go elsewhere. This explains why items sell far below retail--that is the point as far as we buyers are concerned. Now I'd like to tell you that I live in Ohio so anything I've won in these particular auctions must be shipped to me, which I, of course, pay for and consider part of the cost of my finds. I've had many occasions to work with these folks and believe me, like you I would not give my money to a company unless they provided me Stellar and careful customer service. I have returned to their auctions, and will continue to do so because they've photographed each item from multiple angles in proper light, written a detailed description with any known history, and pointed out any known flaws so that I'm always left knowing exactly what I'm looking at on their website. Once I win an item (usually several!), they write to me, attach an itemized invoice and provide me with an estimate of what packing,, shipping and insurance will cost. Let me tell you, these folks are fearless regarding what they will carefully pad, pack and ship to me. My first experience with them was truly surprising as I bid on three pairs of table lamps--with shades. It did not occur to me until I received them how much time and care it took to pack these unwieldy lamps, shades and other items. I knew then that this crew was experienced and had confidence in their knowledge of how to ship such items that did not drain my bank account. Out of six lamps, six shades and numerous other objects, one ceramic lamp's base was a little damaged, however, this was due to a previous repair attempt which they'd informed me of before it was shipped so the choice to take the risk was mine and in this one instance it did not pay off but it's an easy fix so I didn't even bother mentioning it to them or ups as neither were at fault and I like to tinker! Here's the bottom line folks--I can only speak to the obvious care they take with my items and me as a customer but if I lived in the Tucson area and had need for a downsizing or relocation service I would call them quickly and without hesitating because they've proven themselves, on three occasions, to be caring, thorough and forthright--all the best qualities any of us should search for and other companies would do well to emulate. You have a choice who you give your business to, and so do I and I choose Caring Transitiins of Southern Arizona every time! Kasey C.

Do NOT hire this company, I had a horrible experience with them from start to finish! Misleading…read moreinitial consultation that hinted my parents would get several thousand dollars for the contents of their home. End result was less than $2,500. All the furniture was less than 15 years old and it was beautiful from a very nice furniture store in Tucson. Yet all the contents of the house including this furniture, netted us less than $2,500? In addition, the company brought tons of "stuff" from other homes they were emptying and added it to my family's things. On sale day the house was overflowing with so much random stuff, old/tacky furniture that did not below to my family; it was emotionally traumatizing to see my family home look like a hoarder home. Also, I know some of my parents' friends went to the sale out of curiosity and I can only imagine what they thought/the gossip that followed after the saw the house filled like that. I was very clear the surround sound speakers hard wired into the walls were not part of the sale because we were selling the home and it's a nice feature. Guess what? They were taken down/removed. One last red flag, I found a male employee, named Chad, alone in the garage at 10:20 p.m. on a weeknight and he was loading bags and boxes into his van. The van was not marked as a company vehicle so I assume it was his personal car. This was a total stranger to me, taking who knows what from the home. He was there alone for over 2 hours (I first observed him at 7:40 p.m.). This was prior to the estate sale, when they were in the "staging" mode. Celene told me he was fired but I don't trust her word. He supposedly left his phone at the house and returned to get it, and then supposedly fell asleep in his van. Truth is I watched him actively loading things in that same van and he was wide awake. I would never ever hire this company again and have in fact told family friends in the community to avoid them no matter what.

He wrapped things I told him not to and not just wrapped them but blankets, bands and plastic wrap. When I asked him about it when he walked by me with 5 things that I had told him didn't need to be wrapped, (because it was taking WAY longer than it should) he told me he needed to protect his shins!!! He also claimed that the move was 100 feet from door to truck (not 50 ft as I had told them). Images show how close it was. When I spoke to the office manager after the move and told her how unhappy I was with how this move was handled, she informed me that the person who did the move was the owner and her husband and that he FORBID her to give me any kind of discount. I'd recommend looking at other movers who are in the area, because you have zero recourse with this company and they don't stand behind their work or follow your instructions.

Here is what our move consisted of: Downstairs: Kitchen table with 4 chairs 45 boxes 7 bookshelves(that could go as is) Small desk Upstairs: King size bed (that did need to be taken apart) 2 twin beds (that did not need taken apart) Small entertainment center Second small desk 1 small book shelf 2 kids dresser 1 medium dresser 1 large dresser 2 night stands 1 toy box 2 recliners 22 boxes I didn't think this would have been a difficult task. When we moved into this house one year ago we had all the same stuff save for a few things we've bought through our time here. But no furniture purchases since we moved in. At first everything looked like it was going great. The guys were super nice, and we paid for 3 movers to get the job done quickly. They arrived right on time and started at 8:15am. The movers looked around the house with me so I could show them what was going, and they told me 4 to 4.5 hours to finish this job, and that's what they told the lady they were on the phone with. Fast forward to 4 pm and they finally finished loading the above mentioned items. Mind you, just a year ago me and my friend loaded and unloaded everything just the two of us with a uhaul and an F-150 in less than 8 hours. This includes taking stuff apart and putting it back together. When the movers showed up to our new place, a good 75% of the items they loaded were just going to be unloaded into the garage. The only thing they needed to move upstairs were the 3 beds, dressers, toy box and recliners. Everything else I was going to take care of. It took them another 5 hours to finish unloading. During the unloading time the 3 movers got into a heated argument and nearly came to blows outside of my house before one of the guys just upped and left leaving us with only 2 movers now. Mind you, they were cursing and fighting in front of my 2 small children. This did not sit well with us, so my wife called the company and the lady who answered was not very helpful. After explaining what happened, my wife could hear a guy yelling in the background on the phone at my wife and the lady trying to repeat what he said in a nice customer service voice. I'll tell you this guy is lucky I wasn't on the phone. You DONT get to talk to my wife like that whether you're speaking to her directly or through someone. They turned around and tried to blame it on us with how long it was taking them to finish and telling us how they had to cancel another job and we have more stuff than they bargained for even though they walked the house with me and told me it would only take 4-4.5 hours. I would have done this move myself had I not been recovering from knee surgery after getting hurt in a Judo competition, so I needed movers to help. I seriously feel they were milking the clock they would move some things and then I wouldn't see them for 20 mins. Then it apparently took 2 big dudes to fold some blankets which took about another 30 mins to fold a few blankets. I understand they needed to be folded, but does it take 2 guys to fold it? I mean I can fold a blanket by myself in about 30 seconds. Let's move on to the pictures I have. First the wall. While bringing down a nightstand, a mover dropped it and dented the wall at the windows frame. I mean stuff happens, but dude didn't even apologize or check to make sure the nightstand was good. I had to. Next, while unloading another mover dropped a TV off the lift, again no apologies or anything. Luckily, the tv is old and we've just had it in the closet this past year, so I don't care about it. It's just the principle of the matter. My buddy told me to take my security camera footage and send it to the news about these guys. I wanted to do it, but my wife talked me out of it and just wanted to be done with these guys. I still might send my footage about the fight and then dropping my stuff, and to show how long it took them to get everything done. All in all, I wanted to give a 1 star, but they did call back and we got a 15% discount. It was something, but not enough. My wife didn't want me to post, but I feel I needed to. Also might send my security footage to the news. People should know. Just be cautious when going with this company.
