For someone who loathes the dentist, and typically once I leave I'm happy I won't have to come back for a while, I'm happy to report that I'm feeling the opposite! From scheduling my appointment with Patty, to my initial x-rays and getting settled in with dental assistant Jenny, and then my cleaning and exam with Dr Solomon I had the best experience! I hadn't been in sometime, so I knew there would be cavities but they told me in a non shaming way while also being up front with the information. Also I was afraid that the costs would be astronomical, but they also laid out what I needed done with a detailed view of costs and I'm happy to say those also were a fraction of what I thought they would be. I started going to see Dr. Solomon in 2023 after not seeing a dentist for four years due to me relocating right before the pandemic. I was very anxious my first time as I knew I probably had cavities due to not staying on top of visits/dental care. Dr. Solomon and her staff didn't chastise me but rather were very supporting and warm during our initial visit. She gave me tips on what to do and answered my questions. She was able to promptly take care of the fillings the next week with great care. I have been back twice since then and as someone mentioned before I no longer dread going to the dentist when you have someone you trust who will be knowledgeable, express care, yet is a pro at what she does. I've looked for two months trying to get in to see a dentist it's been brutal and painful. I was able to get into this dentist office with in two days. YES! 2days finally my painful worries are over. I hate going to the dentist, and have avoided it for a number of years, so of course, my mouth is a mess. I know better, but it is what it is. I finally bit the bullet and found an in network dentist for Delta dental who had great Yelp reviews. My experience there was not great. The good: Patty, the office coordinator, was super nice. Very communicative and got me scheduled for an appointment within a week. Arthur, the tech, also very cool. Extremely friendly, non-judgmental, and did my x-rays, polish and fluoride quickly and professionally. The bad: I unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to have Dr Solomon as my dentist. Instead I got placed with someone who I would recommend avoiding at all costs. Her name is Dr Wang. Literally, after curtly introducing herself her first comment to me was "I just took a look at your x-rays and you have a lot of cavities!" Well, if you had bothered to check my intake forms and seen the amount of time prior to my last visit and the list of known items going on in my mouth, cavities would seem to be pretty low on the list of what needs to be prioritized. Next we moved on to the fact that I'd had knee replacement surgery 6 years ago and I hadn't included that on my intake form (I didn't think it was recent enough to include) After that, it was the fact that I had been a smoker and now vape, also a problem and one that I didn't mention on the intake form. After examining my gums and teeth it was on to a lecture about how neglecting to see the dentist regularly can lead to scaling, gingivitis, gum disease and tooth loss. Again, I know, but shaming me is not going to result in me taking better care of my teeth; I've finally taken the steps to come in and address an overdue problem, please show some respect and work with me to chart a path forward. Can we do that? Nope, apparently the work on my mouth was too much for them and instead they referred my out to a prosthodontist (for whom they happen to have letter-headed referrals)!! read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in five years due to dental phobia & lack of a dental plan, but I was experiencing awful pain in my impacted wisdom teeth, so I had to go in. I poked around on the internet and found NextGen Dentistry and I chose them based on their mission statement & doctors. The pre-visit paperwork was very simple and made check-in a breeze. Dr. Hana Solomon and her dental assistant, Arthur, were absolutely amazing. They knew ahead of time that I was very nervous about my appointment because I was upfront about my phobia and they were just so kind, patient and gentle with me. They checked in often to make sure I was doing okay during my entire visit. They were both skilled, confident, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I cannot recommend Dr. Solomon enough for patients who are nervous about their dental work. She will put you at ease. NextGen Dentistry, and the entire team of women who are responsible for its incredible service, is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I have suffered from very traumatic dentistry in the past and am always filled with anxiety with regards to the dentist. For this reason I have put off going to the dentist for years. Dr. Solomon is the best. I visited her office for the first time last week for regular cleaning and X-rays. Dr. Solomon walked me through my entire mouth. Showing me all my teeth, explaining where I needed to concentrate on flossing and walked me through general tips on how to best take care of my dental hygiene, specific to me. I feel like in the past when I have gotten cleanings, dentists have told me some vague information about my teeth and sent me on my way. My experience with Dr. Solomon was incredibly personal and not painful in the slightest for she is extremely careful and gentle (while thorough)! I felt so much comfort and trust upon my first visit that I came back two days later to finally extract my top wisdom teeth (which I have been putting off for years). Dr. Solomon did an exceptional job. I have been told in the past I have strong bones and my teeth have deep roots in my mouth. Dr. Solomon was incredibly precise, strong and caring as she extracted my very large tooth in one piece! I cannot recommend NextGen Dentistry enough! read more

Would have give 5 stars for Dr. Solomon and everyone who works/worked there for the quality of service provided on-site. But I docked 3 stars for services off-site. My first and only visit was November 2021. I had a very, very positive experience at that time -- despite not being a fan of force-communicating on scheduling and everything else over the phone (yes, email is apparently not preferred). I went there on time, waiting maybe 15 minutes, get my teeth clean, got some pointers from Dr. Solomon (beyond her service, but got her referral) and on my way out. I was told to schedule a half-a-year checkup (routing cleaning procedure) and I did that -- an appointment for June on appointment-only Saturday. Fast forward to June 2022 -- I got a phone call (again) that says my appointment is canceled and that was it. No attempts to make up, no attempts to rectify. Nothing. I actually deliberately made an appointment for June 2022 instead of May 2022 because Dr. Solomon has no vacancy on the Saturdays of May 2022 back then. So I waited for weeks and I got nothing from NextGen Dentistry. I then decided to reach out to them via their online form and email. Of course, the following Monday, I must received a phone call in the middle of my work and be informed that there's no plan to reschedule my appointment because there isn't any available on Saturday/weekends. And because I live and work across the Bay, it would be impossible for me to get to NextGen Dentistry in the morning for a check-up. So I asked if I should just look for a different dentist for the obvious reasons (which should be recorded on the very first appointment, as the follow-up appointment was made specifically for that reason), Patty was like "well if you want to". I guess docking 3 stars is mostly for the lack of communication and responsibility for this place, particularly for the person of contact. read more
