We moved so we had installation kings come out again to mount our TVs. After doing the intake over…read morethe phone, the technician came out and we were told there would be additional charges for what we wanted to do and that he did not do any drywall patching. The quote was then way more than what we were expecting so we didn't move forward with the work. We were then told they had a $75 cancellation fee - something we were never told over the phone. I've never had this happen before. Even with our other handyman, plumbers, etc. - if you can't do the work, you don't get paid for NOT doing the work. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

A couple of small notes for future customers: the final price was slightly higher than the original project quote once the full scope (two locks) was reconfirmed (but this was conveyed pre-arrival, so no surprises upon arrival), and arrival was about 40 minutes past the scheduled time (but I get it, LA traffic!). He also recommended cutting the locks since he couldn't make replacement keys, which means I will have to purchase some new bike locks again soon. Regardless, grateful for Jin to provide evening and weekend services! Also, I must say the price Jin charged was still more affordable than other locksmith businesses I contacted, so overall, this was a better value in the end! Plus, Jin was quick to respond via Yelp.
