There was a long line and they ran out of receipt paper, so like the person in front of me I asked for a texted receipt to not slow things down. When I got home and checked, they didn't discount some of the end items which equated to around $15 that should have been discounted. Not sure if they are doing this on purpose, but my time and gas is worth more than it would take to go back and ask for that back. Just be aware and check your receipt before leaving.

I visited the DICK'S Sporting Goods in Lake Oswego to look at a treadmill they had on display…read more There wasn't anyone in the area so I called the front desk to get assistance. I waited several minutes and an employee came into the area but did not stop at the treadmill area - he went on to speak to a family. No one else approached. I flagged down another employee and asked if he could help with a treadmill. He didn't know how to turn it on and I shared with him that he would need the key. He left, found the key and returned. That allowed us to start the treadmill. He left. We inspected and walked on the treadmill for about 30 minutes expecting that he would return. He never returned, didn't come back to ask if we had any questions. We had questions. I wasn't about to hunt him down or another employee so we just left. I had actually been at another DICK'S Sporting Goods store in Clackamas the day before. I called in advance to let them know I would be coming into to look at a specific treadmill. However, when I arrived, the treadmill was not on display. The employee said I could look at it online. ? Of course I can look it online but that was not the intent of my visit. Overall, a very disappointing experience at two stores. I won't be purchasing a treadmill from them. If they can't handle a simple sale on an expensive purchase, how is it possible to trust them on the delivery or their warranty and customer service in general? I'd like to recommend that Dick's spend some time looking at the Disney model for training employees. Every employee is trained to provide a wonderful experience for every person that enters the Disney properties. No Matter which employee you encounter you will be treated well and each employee is trained to assist. Too many businesses overlook this aspect of customer service and as a result the customer receives a hodgepodge of service based on the employee's idea of service. At some point in a business' growth if they ignore this aspect of their business, it takes a nose dive. It is a critical piece of a business whose intent is to grow and compete well.

Got PROPANE camping containers exchanged for the Butane ones I bought ‍…read more I originally stopped here on our way to Lost Lake because our propane tank for cooking was out. I was panicking thinking I'd have to go way out of my way and be even later to the lake than I was to begin with. But my boyfriend saved the day because he said just stop at Fisherman's. I said "what's Fisherman's." Lol. He told me where it was and immediately I knew WHERE it was but I had never, EVER seen it. Thankfully it was SO easy to find the tanks (albeit I bought butane vs propane...and had to go back to exchange it) and I was in and out. As I said I bought the WRONG tanks. But it was SO easy to go back and exchange them! I even saved a few dollars since the ones I needed were less! I'll definitely be going to Fisherman's for camping needs going forward! Their pricing is close to the big online retailers OR equal. And the employees were friendly and made my shopping and return experience easy.

That's not service, that's incompetence. Ever since the switch from Cabela's to Bass Pro Shops, this place has clearly gone downhill. Poor communication, terrible process, and a complete lack of respect for people's time. If this is the new standard, it's no surprise this place is losing its reputation. It needs a serious overhaul, because right now it's inefficient, disorganized, and honestly just frustrating to deal with.

When we made our way to the shoe department, the associates there were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help. They answered our questions, helped us find the right size, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It's refreshing to shop somewhere that values customer service and actually takes the time to acknowledge you. Of course, I couldn't leave without finding something for myself! I ended up grabbing a pair of Nike slides, and they've turned out to be one of my favorite purchases lately. They're unbelievably comfortable -- basically like wearing slippers -- and I find myself reaching for them every single day. The refund wasn't in cash, but in store credit, which I can at least use in the store. It's much better than the one on 82nd Street, where the staff immediately said it didn't meet the refund policy, as if they hadn't been trained at all. They didn't understand anything, not even the difference between air guns and real ammunition guns, and just said I couldn't return it! Their quality needs to be improved!
