Not a bad place for sporting goods, but selection varies for each store. Clothing is a little pricey considering the style of store.

I came to this location to exchange a pair of socks that didn't quite fit. "Exchange a pair of…read moresocks that you already wore? No store allows that!" you say? Well, Fleet Feet is NOT like most stores. They offer a 60-day exchange / refund on pretty much everything they sell. They want each customer to be 100% happy with each purchase, and they fully know that sometimes the only way to find out if something is a good fit (literally), is to try it for a while and see how it goes. In my case, I got blisters on one of my feet with the socks I'd purchased, and the extremely helpful employee diagnosed the issue as the pair I was returning being too large. Having my doubts, I followed his advice and tried the medium size. He was EXACTLY right! No blisters at all with the medium size! This location is VERY large, despite it looking like it would be small from the parking lot. They have a huge selection of running shoes, socks, insoles, massage guns, massage therapy items, energy gels, sunglasses, sportswear, sports bras, etc. The staff at Fleet Feet is literally unparalleled in their expertise and helpfulness in my experience (I've been to two locations). I'm new to walking (lifelong asthmatic with exercise being one of the biggest triggers), and Fleet Feet's 3D scans of one's feet, analysis of pressure as one walks on a pressure plate, the huge product selection, and vast knowledge of their products made a literal night and day difference in my walking. I can now walk 7 miles at a brisk pace without the almost unbearable leg pain that I experienced in my previous footwear. I NEVER would have expected that a proper pair of shoes with carefully selected insoles and proper socks could make any notable difference at all, let alone a change that LITERALLY enables me to do what I set out to do. I'd not have been able to do this without the help of Fleet Feet.

Over the past 3 years or so, I've been a bit baffled at how poorly they run their business. They don't ship so you have to drive all the way to their store, their payments sytem is almost always out of order, they rarely answer the phone, and not only do orders take a long time to arrive, they don't even call you when they arrive so you have to keep calling and checking over and over again. Several times I considered contacting the Timbers to try to encourage them to find a more capable provider, but life is busy and I just never felt compelled to take the time...until now. The following facebook post by the owner (which appears to have now been deleted) put me over the edge: "I am the owner of NWSL and I wanted to express my gratitude towards the ladies working for me and having to deal with these parents that love to wait until the last minute to order their player's uniform and then don't understand why it takes so long to process, when there are another 100+ parents who have also procrastinated until the WEEK before the first game which creates a huge back log to get everyone's order out on time. I really appreciate the patience of the NWSL employees that get yelled at, cursed at, hung up on, and belittled with poor google reviews. You ladies deserve more credit than you are given. My hat is off to dealing with these unappreciative customers. What doesn't break you makes you stronger!" This demonstrates what is wrong with the way you do business. Don't blame your customers for your ineptitude. And, if you really wanted to support your employees, you would not put them in a position to have to deal with the inevitable anger you create in your customers by running your business so poorly. Bad businesses complain and blame. Good businesses solve problems, create value and serve their customers.
