I bought the Bowflex M5 and absolutely love this machine ! M7 just came out this year for an extra $1000 more:( I wish I waited I would have bought the M7, because I like the latest and greatest. None the less this a great machine. I ordered this online and had it shipped to me. I paid an extra $ 180 for installation. Which was worth it to me because I heard that people are having a hard time putting it together. Wham bam! They were done in 20 minutes. This machine is commercial quality, like one of the machines you would find at the gym. Love the Max feature for a quick 14 minute high intensity workout. Man do you sweat !!! I ordered a C6 exercise bike several weeks ago to arrive to the new home we have been waiting to move into. I was told it would take 30 business days to arrive (first of all, just say I won't get the bike for at least 1.5+ months, Nautilus). I got an email this morning stating my order would be CANCELLED if I did not email someone named Ted Vlas from Consumer Protection a copy of my Driver's License, Registration, Utility Bill, Voter Registration?! of my former address (from which we moved, but at the time of my order, and still is my billing address, my parent's home, until I update it). I am not providing this info over unsecured email, for a piece of exercise equipment?? And why didn't you collect this info when I placed my order over the phone to avoid delays? My parents ordered the Nautilus treadmill shortly after I purchased this item--and I will inform them to cancel right away. I've been on hold TWO HOURS and counting! To test out my theory that Nautilus cares more about sales than customers after they've purchased, I also called the sales department from another line. Guess what, I waited less than a minute and sales rep Susan Howe provided awful service once I explained I wasn't interested in purchasing, rather needed help on an existing order. Eventually I was rerouted to a voicemail to the Customer Care line. I never got to a live person on that Customer Protection line. Oh well. I purchased an elliptical machine from them over a year ago. Despite paying for professional assembly and an extended warranty, the machine has NEVER worked properly. Dealing with their warranty company, Amynta Group and the repair company "Go Configure" is a time-sucking nightmare. Nautilus should be ashamed to work with companies like this. They use them for a reason. They're cheap and they provide the bare minimum when it comes to customer service. Any interaction with them shows you that their attitude is that they're doing you a favor. Not that they're providing services that you actually pay for. I had 3 interactions with them. Each time the reps spout out their procedures, time estimates for each phase from them contacting a tech to every single interaction between them and the tech. They don't follow any of them. If you call to find out, you reach robotic, indifferent people like Britney and Jessie who don't listen. They just continually repeat themselves and tell you the same thing as they interrupt and do their best to NOT solve your problem. I called on Thursday to schedule this repair. They said they would get back to me the next day. That was two days ago. Today, they say it will be 48 hours from the time that I called (which was Thursday) and they consider that Tuesday. Granted it's a holiday weekend, but they also say they work weekends and evenings. So that point is moot. It's frustrating when you pay for a warranty and get nothing in return but frustration. Nautilus is a fraudulent company. I ordered a bike in April. They said it would be ready in a month. Within that month, I found a better bike. Tried to call and email to cancel. No response. Having enjoyed great Nautilus equipment at the local gym for many years, it seemed a natural to include their SM3 home Stairmaster in my Covid home gym. The problems began w/n a month after purchase, w a squeaking noise that was maddening. Literally 6 tech calls and 4 mos. later, the last tech said I needed a replacement. So call after call, even reaching out to their service manager James Martin ((503) 550-4951 if you wanna try) who referred my issue rather than responding to me directly, I'm still awaiting my new unit. Nautilus T628 Treadmill - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you intend to use it for exercise! The treadmill has a great running deck, with good cushioning and a stable feel. The user interface is super basic, but just fine if you actually want to run. The Explore the World Running Software is pretty good too. So, WHY AVOID AT ALL COSTS? If you sweat just a tiny bit [not that this is why you might want a piece of exercise equipment - goodness no!] then the buttons will short out and it will stop working. The repair service was good - they replaced the whole circuit board up top but within a year the same thing has happened again... so basically just don't bother. Lots of other options out there. This is a machine to make you sweat, that dies when you do. Proper design flaw. Buy something else. read more

It is now May of 2022 and I am still experiencing the same issue with the shocks! We just had set #5 placed onto the machine...this time by a Go Configure tech. Bowflex VeloCore bike - I paid for them to assemble the bike. After 4 rides the right pedal snapped off destroying the crank arm. Impossible to reach customer service. After being on hold for an hour they will ship parts in three weeks and then they will contact me to fix it. This is the second product issue I have had in the two weeks I have had this bike. Solid bike; horrible limited on demand classes; good luck with trying to ride and switch back and forth from the lean to lock mode. You do not need a bike for $3000.00 to watch Netflix. I purchased an elliptical from them last year. The machine has not worked properly, since the first workout. The calories and distance did not register on the computer console at all. Enter customer service: They sent a repairman from Go Configure to replace the console, because of the manufacturer's warranty. It still did not work. Enter customer service again: They sent someone from Go Configure again to repair the machine. Still, the calories and distance were way off. Enter customer service one last time: Horrible. The individuals I spoke with were condensending and rude. They speak to you as if you know nothing about working out and as if you are a child. As someone with a technical background (troubleshooting computers for Apple and other tech companies) and who has been working out on and owned various types of quality exercise equipment, I am no novice to tech or workout machines. Still, they read from, what sounded like, their robotic scripts and, when that failed, resorted to outright sarcasm and patronizing. If you have to tell your customers that your equipment is calibrated differently and to work out harder and to use a Fitbit, instead of the calorie counter on their expensive elliptical to monitor your calories, then you and your equipment are the issue. Still, they hold fast to their guns and give you the run around, because they know most people will eventually get frustrated and give up trying to get a resolution. Frankly, this is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Incredibly poor quality customer service. You have to contact them via Facebook (Facebook! For a corporate entity?) or telephone. Facebook will contact you back in a day or two and usually tell you to call. Call and you are on hold for 30-60 minutes and your customer service agent may hang up on you if they don't know the answer to your question. Spoke with a supervisor who told me that they do not have enough people to service the number of calls and the staff is overworked. It took about 6 weeks to get a repair and the repair people they use missed the appointment but eventually fixed the equipment, a treadmill, which had broken in the first 6 weeks of use. I ordered a Bowflex bike at the beginning of December. I finally received it last Wednesday 02/03/2021. The fedex driver left it at the back of my house near my driveway in the pouring down rain. The second box (monitor and additional parts for bike) did not get delivered. Fedex did not pick up the box from the warehouse. I contacted nautilus with the additional tracking number that says the item was pending because it was not picked up. They are telling me it will be another 8 weeks before I can get the monitor, after I have already waited 2 1/2 months. I am unable to send my bike back because the box got wet so I am stuck waiting for another monitor and unable to use the bike. I would like to know where my monitor is.. the one that was suppose to be picked up with the bike? I am so disappointed because I work in healthcare and I have a daughter with significant medical issues. I worry every day about bringing covid home to her and this bike was for me... hopefully to help with my mental health. Instead, this has caused undue stress. This company is stuck in the twentieth century. Why can you not order parts online??? I did the chat thing with Amanda, got the part number, but you need to talk to someone to order the part. She gives me the phone number and I call where I am on hold for over two hours!! Finally talk to someone and he says that it will take them 2 weeks to get me the part. I asked if it was in stock and it was. Why so long, I asked and when do they pull it from inventory? He said that it would be pulled within 48 hours and shipped via Fed-Ex and that I would receive an email stating that it has been shipped. Five days later, still no email with shipping information. This is no way to run a company in the 21'st century. I am shocked, shocked I say, that they are still in business. Suggestions: 1) How about being like every other company in America and find a way of selling your parts online? 2) Having your customers wait on hold for over two hours does not warrant repeat business!! Of course, if you adopt suggestion 1, then a good deal of your problems may go away. 3) Two weeks for shipping is insane!!! Payment was processed (full shipping included). 3 months later, I get a call telling me that I had to pay an additional 31 cents in order for them to process the order. Purchased an LX5 a month ago. Tried using it but because of an injury I had to return it. The company was very friendly and helpful before I purchased it. $3200 plus tax. Plus I paid $150. For someone from their company to set it up. They said I could return it in 45 days, no problem. I called and let them know I couldn't use it because of my knee injury. They gave me the run around, then kept disconnecting the call and were very rude. Also they said we don't dismantle it, we don't pick it up, and you pay the shipping. Cost me $538. To send it back !! Absolutely horrible experience. I ordered a Nautilus E616 elliptical in July 2020. They gave me 4 month delivery estimate. Unit didn't arrive and get assembled until January 2021. The console was dead on arrival (fan didn't work) so I called Nautilus (they had me on hold for 1 hr 45 minutes) to report the issue. They sent a replacement console (weeks later) which failed in the exact same way. So I had to talk to more people... they contract with a 3rd party (Go Configure) for installation and repairs so you are stuck between the two companies trying to get answers. Nautilus says the fastest way to get support is to call them. Yet when I call I am given estimated wait times of over an hour! They have no clue why the machine is still broken, but are sending more "replacement parts". I was just notified the replacement parts are delayed (with no ETA). They won't take the machine back unless I package it up myself and pay for the shipping myself (which will be hundreds of dollars). Hopefully gyms will re-open soon. I will never work with this company again. Consider yourself warned by my review and others with similar horror stories. read more

Just received the Bowflex. It took my husband, who is very handy and can assemble anything with ease, at least an hour to get it all together. Once assembled, it didn't work. Something wrong with the electronics. After talking to customer service rep, it's determined to be a bad cable. (Next time just buy used.) He was told he'd get replacement parts sometime in February. WHAT? After much complaining, they agreed to send him the part tomorrow. It will be an entire box - basically the main body of the unit, which he will have to disassemble (to get the part he needs), reassemble the other one (that doesn't work) and THEN reassemble the second one and resend it to them. Two thoughts. First, great quality control guys. And second, WHY does a customer have to get all worked up, write letters, and bitch and moan to get a company to do the right thing? Ugh. read more

Got the TreadClimber TC100. Very happy with it. Had to replace a part. Customer service has been great. This is a word of caution: DO NOT purchase the optional assembly if it is with Go Configure, Inc. (Corporate located in Illinois). Check out their reviews. People wait around, no communication. We purchased the Bowflex C6 bike back in January and already had 2 major problems. The first was the seat kept making an annoying sound so they had to replace the whole seat and parts. A month later the belt system has to be totally replaced. They said they were going to send someone out but that was 2 months ago! This may go down as my worst purchase ever! What a horrible product. I purchased a Nautilus Elliptical from Real Deal Outlet recently. The manual give you two ways to register the equipment, (on their website or by phone). I tried the website and there is no option anywhere to register equipment. So I was left no choice but to call the phone line. The first time I called I was on hold for 1 1/2 hours. I gave up and decided to call another day. The next few times I called, it was outside of their business hours. So I called again today determined to get someone and finally register this warranty. After waiting 1 hour and 55 minutes I finally got a representative. I then wanted to know: If it is this hard to register a warranty, then how difficult would it be to actually get repairs when needed. The representative explained that if I need repairs, I would have to call the same number again! To top things off, they said there is no warranty on my equipment because I bought it from an outlet store. WARNING TO CUSTOMERS: It will take you two hours to register your warranty. And if you ever need repairs, you will be waiting another two hours to speak to a representative. read more

The most Awful experience I ever had with a customer support representatives. I bought a Schwinn A40 elliptical that was producing noise. I contacted them and after 1 hour hold, I finally got connected. I told the rep about the problem and he asked me to record a video and sent it to him. He agreed that the machine is producing sound and told me that it might have not been lubricated at the warehouse. He booked me an appointment with a technician who was suppose to come to my place on Thursday March 4,2021 but he apologized and promised to phone me Friday to set a different time then he asked me about the kind of fitness machine and the nature of the problem. I told him but he said that he was never told about that by the Toronto office and he will contact them. He never phoned me back and I never heard from him again. I sent an E-mail and contacted the support customer service two times again wasting many hours of my time with them but with no results. Finally I have decided to de-assemble the product and return it to the point of purchase by the end of this week and would strongly advice against buying any kind of fitness machine supported by this kind of awful customer service. Injurious Machine and Abusively Disrespectful Customer Service Max Trainer M7: I Initially loved the M7 and was fit enough to immediately enjoy its 14 minute interval workout, along with increasing the resistance to level 6 within a month. However, I also developed problems with the balls of my feet as a result, due to the way the machine forces the user to put unnatural pressure onto this area of the foot. I do wear orthodics, but have never had an issue like this since I started wearing them over 10 years ago, unless I was, e.g., crouching down on the balls of my feet for too long to do something. I even purchased a new prescription pair of orthodics, with more cushioning for $375, just to make sure my older pair wasn't the issue. No help! My Girlfriend started having knee & similar foot problems too, so it was definitely the machine. I never had problems on the Precor EFX 546 machine I owned previously, regardless of the incline, nor cycling or power walking. However, after using the M7 for a month, I even had pain in the arches of my feet while cycling. Very weird, so everyone should beware how it may effect you over time, especially with increased resistance. Customer Service: As they say, you never really know someone until you break up with them. Clearly, Bowflex has no real respect for its customers, based on how they handle returns. Because of the issues described below, they literally tried to insist I had to leave the FedEx Office I was calling from, and transport the two (2) 100 lb. return boxes back home and up the stairs into my apt., then bring them back the next day. Why? Well, first, prior to purchase, they grossly underestimated return shipping at approx. $200, if I decided to return the item. (Note, this wouldn't even be an issue if they provided return shipping labels like many other large & small retailers alike.) From Los Angeles to Ohio, UPS wanted $463. Bowflex's carrier FedEx wanted $311. Since these prices were much greater than I was first told, I called Bowflex and asked if I could use their FedEx account to utilize their discounts, so as to match the $200 estimate they originally gave. They said that was impossible. After much insistence, they agreed to send me shipping labels for $199, but said it could take 24 hours to receive. They cared not that I was already at FedEx with the two 100 lb. boxes and stated repeatedly it was impossible to provide them any sooner. Undeterred from experience, I remained firm, telling them they'd better get an executive on the line with FedEx to facilitate it, if necessary, or they'd have a huge problem on their hands. I received the labels within 15 min. Amazing what "impossibilities" a merchant can really do when a customer insists on not being abused. read more

In 2006 I purchased a Bowflex Ultimate II gym set from Nautilus. Recently I needed to contact Nautilus' customer service regarding a service issue having to do with obtaining replacement parts. To my astonishment, when I spoke with the customer rep I was informed that the phone sales rep who sold me the product back then had mistakenly made a promise to me that was not actually covered by the official product warranty... yet, that assurance was the basis for my decision to purchase the machine. Upon learning that there would be an out of pocket cost to me after all, I felt I needed to write Nautilus and lodge a formal complaint. In short order I received a reply from a member of Nautilus' Executive Response Team telling me my issue was being investigated. Just days later I was informed that after careful review, the assurance made to me at point of sale would be honored even though it was not supported by the warranty. Nautilus stepped up and took care of their customer (me!) even though from a purely legal standpoint they were probably not obligated to. This commitment to do right by the customer speaks directly to Nautilus' integrity, and why I remain a very satisfied and loyal customer! read more

This is a warning to those considering buying a Bowflex product. Unless you think you can troubleshoot and support the machine yourself think twice. Not sure if this is a good machine, I never got to find out. I purchased and TC3000 and my nightmare began. It was delivered in 3- 70lb boxes...after several hours of assembly it wouldn't work. I called the tech support number in their ridiculous assembly manual (the salesperson said they would help you with any questions you might have anytime). Long story short, I had that 200 lb, $2000.00 paperweight in my living room for a week. Total tally came to 18 phone calls, 4.5 hours on hold, 2 emails and 5 messages left before I ever got to talk to someone. Customer service and tech support are non-existent. I'm still waiting for the refund, but my credit card company is backing me and disputing the charges so I won't be paying for it either way. I am so glad I didn't did choose to finance through them! Bowflex/Nautilus is happy to take your money but obviously can't be bothered to take your calls or stand behind their product. I'll never do business with them again. read more
