Took my daughter in on Sunday December 29th 2019 at 9 am due to coughing with sharp pain in her left side rib and pain when she breaths. At admission She wrote In the reason why she's there and concerns of probably having pneumonia (she had pneumonia in the past). The Male PA who checked her did not ask for any history or why she's concerned about pneumonia. He just prescribed cough suppressants but nothing else to get ready of the junk. She's 18 years old and finally went to a DOCTOR who took X- rays and yes, she have pneumonia. This place should be shut down the PAs know nothing to treat people. read more

first off, came in and tgere was no one in the office so not so busy, receptionist said you didn't check in online, well no ine mentioned that, so she sends me the check in info to my phone, as i struggle with the ridiculousness of the bs taking pix of my cards and it nit processing as my injuured arm is in agony trying to complete this circus of hoops. she hand me a clip board with one page to fill out because their site wasn't working. their bedside manner was wrapoed up to a zero at this point. Doctor never placed hands on me (a virtual visit would have sufficed)we sat there for quite some time for the only customers and finally tried to check out their card reader wasnt working. next day went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription they never sent over. sat on a 1800 number and was disconnected several times. need i say more? read more

Great service, and little wait time. Much better than going to Banner Health ER, and much more affordable. Great friendly and caring staff members, and they have a program that will alert you when they are ready to see you if you are waiting at home or at the office and can't wait for an extended period of time. I have been using NextCare for years. This was my second visit to this location. I will never return! Both the triage nurse Tiffany, and the nurse practitioner Linda Stover, were extremely rude and unprofessional! We were yelled at by Tiffany, and Linda, who never introduced herself or gave me her name, kept asking me questions, then cutting me off so I couldn't finish. When I was allowed to speak she accused me of lying and I informed her if she had let me finish she would have gotten the whole back story. I had told her I had a sinus infection from the beginning and all I told her was I needed antibiotics. Her exam was unnecessarily rough because she was angry. Both of these women were upset because I had to bring my husband, who has dementia, in with me. I am his only caregiver and could not leave him alone in the waiting room. All he did was sit quietly and wore his mask. The whole experience was uncalled for! I am paying them for a service and this is how we are treated? Thank God NextCare is not the only urgent care in the Valley. read more

We went in on a Thursday; no appointment there was 1 couple in front of us, they called us back maybe had to wait 10mins in the waiting room; when in the back the wait was nothing they were fast and caring....and it was very clean. We were very pleased!! read more

My husband brought me to the clinic on Thanksgiving after I was feeling VERY dizzy all morning and wasn't going away. The wait was average, they had others to see before it was my turn. My head was down almost the whole time but from what I seen the clinic was clean and orderly. I wish they would have had a bench or something so the ones that need to lay down can. The male nurse was very nice and the doctor was very good. He did what he could, check my urine. He thought I was dehydrated since we just moved here and am not used to the weather yet. He called some antibiotics in. I went home, drank a whole bunch, rested and felt better later on that night. I was very impressed that they didn't treat me like crud ( even though I looked and felt like crud) like alot of doctors do. I will go back there and will tell anyone I can to go there also. read more

I went in today for earache, sore throat, and sinus pressure. The PA looked at my ears and said no infection, but congestion. That was it. I had to ask to have him look at my throat. He did and said it looks ok. He didn't look up my nose at my sinuses, didn't palpate lymph nodes and had very little to say at all except take decongestant and allergy meds, which I told him I do. I'm OK that you don't prescribe antibiotics if you don't think there is a bacterial infection, but I'm not ok when you don't do an actual assessment to ensure all complaints are addressed. I also looked at my discharge paperwork and my temperature was recorded as 98.7, but I saw the TA thermometer when the girl took my temperature and it said 97.3. This was a waste of money and time and if you want to have a real assessment to see what is wrong, you should go somewhere else. I would never have paid to be told I had congestion...this was obvious. read more

I went by the other day no appt. just a walk-in because my brother had hurt his wrist at school , as soon as we walked in we were not greeted at all. I waited a good 3 minutes before the VERY RUDE might I add front desk lady even noticed us. Maybe because she was too busy listening to music instead of doing her job. When she greeted us she said "oh hi" very rudely might I say then continued to ask what it was I needed when I explained she cut me off and said "okay well I need your mom here" and I explained that my FATHER was at work hence why I brought my brother. She continued to say she needed my mom and if not to call her because I wasn't his guardian, which she wouldn't have known either way because she never bothered to ask me. I told her that i would call my FATHER but that he only spoke Spanish as soon as i mentioned that she ROLLED HER EYES at me ! I speak perfectly good english and I had no trouble translating for him at all, at this point she just seemed so annoyed I regretted not going to the ER instead. After the phone call I had consent from my dad to allow my brother medical help. She then still very rudely tells me I need to fill out some paper work which I understood. The thing that really pissed me off was these white folks walked out from the back very nice people may I add. Her rude attitude changed so fast, i'm not sure if she had something against my color or what I look like but you're supposed to treat everyone the same no matter what!!! I'm a medical assistant myself and i'd be embarrassed if I had an attitude towards people like she did. NO STARS for her sorry ass. On another note the staff in the back area was wonderful! so very kind! the only reason i'll be willing to ever go back there again. They should really do something about this lady. read more

Don't bother coming here, go to a real ER, these people are only interested in rushing you in and rushing you out, billing insurance they are NOT interested in your medical issues! My wife was seen for a boil or cyst, instead of treating it they sent her home with a mild pain reliever, the next day my wife was vomiting and had a severe headache so we went to a real hospital who diagnosed her with a boil and drained over 20 milliliters of pus from her, the next Care decided to leave the pus in her and let her be infected and sick! ! also wanted to mention that their call ahead service is useless! read more

Incompetent would be the word that best describes my experience. Based on a recommendation of an urgent care doctor that was not covered by my insurance. I went to get tested for covid 19 "ASAP". Unfortunately I chose NextCare Urgent Care. I made a reservation over the phone to the closest location, and asked what kind of safety precautions I should take. I was told that there would be directions posted at the door. Upon arrival there were no directions so I called and stayed on the line for approximately two minutes before giving up and just entering, as it looked as if nobody was there. They took absolutely no precautions in sending me back to the patient room. They very briefly asked about my symptoms then immediately administered two test for illnesses I knew I did not have. After dropping all the medical instruments on the ground and in the trashcan (which she laughed and said that happens all the time). And waiting for the results of the test that I already knew. In come the nurse, to get immediate payment of co-pay, while I am in the quarantine room( really stupid). There we exchange, what I can only believe to be contaminated money. After even more waiting, in comes your incompetent dr. Strong, I believe. He proceeds to tell me that I do not meet there stipulations to be tested. And then basically tells me I've done everything wrong, by coming there. Now let's be clear I have recently traveled to Seattle via airport. Stayed at a family members house who is a nurse in Seattle. Felt symptoms such as extreme fatigue, sore throat, headache and mostly dry cough( sometimes wet ), and my girlfriend had a fever a few day ago.All except the fever has been persistent for at least a week and a half. And I will remind you that the only reason I'm there in the first place, is the recommendation of a doctor to get tested for COVID-19 ASAP. I do not appreciate the tone the doctor came in with basically blaming me from the start for doing everything wrong. I did my absolute best to protect my family, myself, The doctor and nurses staff. He said I should have called my doctor, which I do not have,And the reason why I spent a week of my quarantine calling around trying to get information on what to do to be safely tested. I truly felt I did more to prevent possible contamination then they did.And I'm definitely not sure why each urgent care has different stipulations to be tested. Also My work requires a test for me to get back to work or at the very least a note stating something about covid 19. What they provided me amounts to just another piece of contaminated paper to throw away.In conclusion it was a complete waist of time and money. I use the online check in which is convenient but my main problem is with the front desk person, I had a prescription that I didn't know needed to be taken to the pharmacy myself, so they let me walk out without it, and never called saying I needed it. I was under the assumption that they'd send them to the pharmacy, and I get to the pharmacy and my daughter prescription had never been sent either, when I went back to the next care, the front desk lady had a smug look on her face, I asked why I wasn't notified of this and she said I'm sorry I wasn't aware, and handed me the script even though she was there when I was seen earlier this morning..... other than her the office staff is nice. read more

Service was excellent and the bill for Urgent Care was exactly as expected. Unfortunately for me, they said I needed a boot to support my possibly broken foot. They provided it and had me sign papers for it as an extra service. Guess I should have read the papers in detail as it was a totally different company, BREG billing services, and THEY ARE NOT COVERED BY MY INSURANCE. So, my less than $100 boot is being billed to me as a $400 luxury good. NextCare needs to clearly tell patients "you need this boot but we don't sell it. We can give you one from our supplier but we have no idea if they are covered by your insurance and if not they will bill you at an outrageous price. If you want to go around the corner to the Walgreens or CVS, you can get one for $100 or less, and here is what type we recommend based on your condition." The fun of healthcare in America. I used the online check-in which should have lessened my wait time significantly. I checked in just afternoon yesterday, my visit was estimated at around 5pm and then was changed to 6pm. I arrived at 5:45 and still waited until about 7:15 for my appointment. Somethings terribly wrong with this system! Also they sent the prescriptions to a pharmacy that was just closing and lost one prescription somehow. Still trying to get the lost prescription today after 2 phone calls. The sign-in online is such a bonus, especially when you are in pain. NextCare texts you when you need to come in and you don't lose your place in queue. After suffering with what I thought was back pain for over a week, I decided to have it checked out. I couldn't get into my PCP immediately so went to NextCare. The FNP was a pleasant, professional young woman and very qualified. She checked and double-checked my x-rays to discover a bone fracture. I have told many people about NextCare. It's a great answer to ER and usually your PCP's office with normally long waits at both. Simply go on-line and sign in for your appointment. I wish doctor's offices would implement this phone system. It expedites your visit without having to sit in the waiting room. read more

I was seen at the Ironwood and Southern location Sunday evening, and the front desk woman was not pleasant AT ALL!! Rude and not happy she was there, I felt like. She had no idea what my co-pay would be until after I was "treated". So I had seen NP Candace Darling and went in for what I knew was staff infection on my leg ( I have had it before, 5 years ago to be exact) so I knew what I saw and the pain I was in that it was STAFF/MRSA. Not only did she tell me she didn't think it was STAFF infection or MRSA but she also DID NOT even culture the area, or any type of blood work, she slapped a band aid on and sent me on my way with antiobiotics that teat a patient for STAFF/MRSA. I collected my paperwork and on it she said I had celluitius, hmm but you told me in the room to my face you didn't think it was anything of that sort! Not ok. Then I pay $110.00 for what?! Absolutely nothing! I go to pick up my meds and they were only $6.00!! I am not one to complain ever however I feel the work was very sloppy and felt she didn't know what she was talking about yet made my paperwork completely different than what she told me and gave me meds for what I knew I had. I also called them to get a letter faxed over to my work stating I was ok to be at work with having this "celluitus" and they told me that was a HIPPA violation, which mind you I work for a Dr office, and that is NOT a HIPPA vioaltion when a patient would like their own records sent to a non private fax! I go back into the location Monday night and they would not treat me unless I paid another copay, I said no absolutely not, I did pay you people and you did NOTHING but slap a band aid on me and send me on my way with meds! Still wouldn't do anything! So two days later had to go see my PCP because the area got worse and I spiked a fever, had to leave work and miss hours there, and my PCP cultured my area did blood work and asked about my lasy tetanus shot (which Candace NEVER asked about or did blood work either). And what do you know I have STAFF! I would have been perfectly fine with my co pay and all if I was treated right and they knew what they were doing!! This is absolutely ridiculous and not ok at all! I will never step foot back in this facility again! read more

My son could not sleep all night for the cough and the sickness has already been 5 days. For the effort that cough does he vomit. And he have stomach pain. I went to this place for help and the doctor said was a common cold and he can be like this for 14 days. Whattt? This place is a circus. I wait almost 2 hours and the doctor saw him for just 5min and left. This is just business they want to make money with patients . They dont care about your health. Had made an appointment for my husband, answered the dang text, check in time was changed. Upon arrival....."We don't have you on our schedule" WTH!!! The clerk behind the desk only reply, can't help or change...yada yada....next available appt is another 2+ hours to wait. Called the 1-888.... they couldn't even find out how in the heck he was removed!!!! I was actually told, don't reply to the text message as it tells you, just come in at appt time.....REALLY!!!! why have a dang system if it's no dang good?!?!?! I had the worst experience here that I've ever had receiving medical care. Nextcare closed at 8PM and I arrived at 7pm. I had one more patient in front of me, so there was a little bit of a wait. I didn't get called back into a room until after 8pm. I fully understand that on a walk in basis, there may be a wait...and I have no problems waiting. This however is where my problems began. I visited this location due to a hip injury that was causing severe pain and preventing me from being able to walk properly and some type of sore that had developed on the bottom of my foot. When the doctor arrived to my room, I explained what my problem was. The doctor simply asked how movement was in my leg and pushed me on out the door. She insisted that I receive a prescription for Motrin 800, even though I made it extremely clear I had already been taking 800mg of Motrin and it had no effect. When I asked for the sore on my foot to be looked at, she told me that I would have to come back another day for it. When I asked about xrays, she told me that her xray machine would not be able to get a good image of my hip so I had to go to an imaging place. I felt as if I were just pushed out the door as fast as possible and received partial care (that wasn't even acceptable) for my medical issue. I raised concern with other staff in the office but they as well basically just brushed me off. While in the lobby, I picked up a card with their customer service number on it. I called and spoke with someone who directed me to the correct person to speak to. I left a message and the following day I got a call back. I explained my problems and said that I felt like I had been taken advantage of. I explained that what I was expecting is to receive the full care that I came in for and NOT to have to pay another copay since this is all stuff that should have been taken care of in one sitting like I had requested (instead of the staff being lazy and doing a half ass job since it was past closing time). I was given a magnitude of excuses for my treatment. I was told the xray machine was broken and my response was I should have been turned away and immediately refereed to an office that had the equipment to properly treat someone. The reason I got for the refusal to look at my foot was that they did not have to treat me, and my response was that if they choose not to treat someone that is fine...however at that point they are not entitled to bill insurance or collect a copay. My visit was 4 days ago, and as I sit here typing this I still have my injury and have severe trouble walking. I scraped together money to be able to go into this office and get treated...but instead I got taken for a ride and scammed. Now its going to be another few weeks before I'm able to seek care elsewhere. NextCare is a joke, these people make me sick to my stomach. Stay away from them. read more

So I used the Wahoo online service which was fine. I arrived at my "approximate" time and the girl at the front desk had me fill out some paperwork. She informed me I would need to pay $118 out of pocket which I paid. Went back to the exam room in about 30 minutes. Front desk girl and triage tech were cordial and nice. Triage tech got my vitals and told me the Nurse Practitioner would be in shortly. This is when the visit goes downhill for me. The CNP walks in and you could tell she just didn't care. She didn't even look at me when she was talking to me which I thought was quite rude. She literally did nothing more then listen to my back with a stethoscope look in my ears and then leave sending me with antibiotics and a dr note for my work. I seriously spent $118 for less then 7 MINUTES!!! You could tell she was just in a rush to get to the next person which is sad being there was only 2 others there to be seen. I felt there was no compassion or personalization to the visit it was just about the money. I was told to wait in the lobby for my dr note which I did. The girl at the front desk handed me 3 papers informed me my medication had been called into the pharmacy and to have a nice day. Ummm shouldn't you go over the discharge paperwork with the Patient????? It says on your website you take the time to go over discharge instructions with each patient. Apparently I am a nobody cause that never happened. I had to ask the pharmacist when I was supposed to take the med and what frequency because next care didn't inform me any of this information. If you want quality care and someone who will actually listen to you and be informative I would go elsewhere. read more

I went in after injuring my hand and let the provider know that I was in a significant amount of pain. X-Ray showed the bones in my hand had been separated (thus, explaining why I was hurting) the provider gave me a splint, instructing me to wear it to stabilize my hand until it healed. She then refused to prescribe any pain medication for me. I find it odd that a doctor can justify charging my insurance company an inordinate amount of money for a splint for my injured hand and then nonchalantly refuse to treat the pain. Thanks to this terrible doctor, I not only had to pay for an urgent care visit, but also a visit to my PCP the next day. I was up all night in pain. I am a public school teacher. Not a junkie. I find it shameful that the provider didn't know the difference. I will take my private insurance elsewhere the next time I am in need of help. I will not visit this location nor any of the other NextCare locations. I will tell as many people who will listen about my experience and discourage them from going to this urgent care. read more

I LOVED the idea of the WAHOO app! Normally an urgent care visit is a 45min-2hr wait, and the experience is daunting considering you're usually terribly sick. So a way to overcome that experience sounded perfect. But THIS location is terrible about keeping appointment times! I was injured at work and had to come for repeat appointments each week, to the same Doctor. I scheduled the appointments for the following week at each visit, and diligently arrived 15 min prior to my APPOINTMENT. Not walk-in, not call ahead- appointment. Two weeks in a row, surrounded by hacking, sneezing angry masses who just want a diagnosis- and just wanting to be seen myself for the 6 min face-to-face with the Doc I'm used to, and I have to wait over an hour to be seen. This is ridiculous! I'm supposed to call the doctor if I'm running late, but no one calls me to let me know when they're running late? Thanks for the obvious nod off of my life and schedule, Next Care. In theory, the WAHOO thing is awesome. But in practice? Either hire more staff, or quote people a realistic expectation of when they can plan to be seen by more than the receptionist and fellow sickies. All the staff were pleasant enough...but no amount of half-hearted smiles are worth the wait. My advice: pick another location that takes appointments- it'll probably be worth your time, your drive and your immune system in the long run. Feel better read more

I was very disappointed with my visit there today. The wait time was OK. I used the online check-in and they got me in right about the time they said I would. No problems there. But I think that when you are in the health care field, the key word there should be care. I did not feel that way from the moment I walked in. The girl working the front desk was very snobby and a bit rude. When I was seen by the Nurse Practitioner, she was in the room for under a minute! She did not check me out AT ALL. I have an infection in my mouth. Last I checked, any infection in the head can be pretty serious. But all she simply did was walk into the room and say "looks like you're infected...i'll send in a prescription for antibiotics. Take them for ten days and then see a dentist." An infection in your mouth is one of the most painful things one can go through! No pain medication, nothing...and in and out in under a minute. Very UNCARING. I just paid for them to write a prescription for antibiotics. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more
