I drove an hour to get to the dealership for my appointment, only for them to inform me they don't have the vehicle in the lot and that it's in a different dealership. They also would not honor the deal I had negotiated via text with their employee. Do not trust the staff that communicates via phone calls and text. They will negotiate and give you prices they are not authorized to issue. The staff at the actual dealership will do nothing to rectify the situation. I'm new to Moreno Valley, and only about 2.5 miles up the road from "RACEWAY FORD" but after my first ( and last ) experience with them, I will NEVER go back. I'll make the 17 mile drive to "FRITTS FORD, RIVERSIDE" they are absolutely worth it, and when I purchase my next Ford ( very soon ) it'll be with them. I called the "Service Department" ( at Raceway Ford ) to have the transmission fluid changed in my truck. I spoke to Kris in the Service Dept. and he told me that I could bring in my truck either Wednesday or Thursday at 0700hrs, that he opens the shop and would take my truck to be serviced, that the service takes approximately three hours. He said they would give me a ride home and then call me when the truck was ready for pickup. He assured me that I would have it that afternoon. I told him that I would call right back to confirm an appointment with him, I then gave my name and ended the call. I called back within ten minutes and this time I spoke with Craig, I explained that I would be available for Wednesday Morning and about the conversation I just had moments before with Kris, he asked my name and confirmed my appointment for Wednesday. Wednesday Morning I arrive at 0645hrs and wait for them to open, when they do, I'm the first customer there, and as I'm prepared to drop off my truck the Associate helping me explains that there's no appointment for my truck. I explained that I spoke with Kris, gave the date and time of the call, and that I had his name locked in with the number. Immediately another Associate walks in with coffee and doughnut in hand, the person assisting me turns to him and says "Craig, did you talk to someone about a transmission service for this morning or schedule an appointment?" Craig responds "No I didn't" while looking at me. The person assisting me then turns back to me and says "that's Craig, he said he didn't speak with you" and then I asked "who's Kris, he's the first man I spoke with the other day?" Then I saw the business cards on his counter with his name on it "Kris" and I asked him "both of you spoke with me, but neither one remembers now" and he responds "I'm sorry, you can leave your truck here, it's gonna take a few days to get serviced though" he then explained that they just came out of a meeting with management because they were twenty three cars behind, and management was angry. The two Associates lied to me, then made up excuses and blamed the manager. These guys are incompetent, I immediately left. AVOID RACEWAY FORD!!! Kris and Craig will lie to you, and Kris will talk badly about his manager to the public. We have called at least four times trying to speak with the advisor who sold us the vehicle to schedule appointments and address ongoing concerns. Each time, the receptionist has said he is either "with a customer" or "unavailable," without offering any real solution. While it's understandable that sales advisors get busy, anyone familiar with the car-buying process knows there are natural pauses throughout the day where calls can be returned. At the very least, we should have been directed to voicemail so he could follow up later. Instead, we've consistently been given the runaround with promises that messages would be relayed--yet no return calls have been made. The last time my partner spoke with the dealership, he clearly stated that if we did not receive a call within 48 hours, we would escalate the issue to corporate. Even with that warning, we still received no response. At this point, we have filed complaints with both corporate and the Federal Trade Commission due to the dealership's lack of communication and questionable business practices. To make matters worse, we have still not received our tags--despite paying significantly more than what the DMV would normally charge for registration on a used vehicle. Overall, the level of communication and follow-through here is unacceptable. I've had better service and transparency from CarMax. Save yourself the hassle.

Their own price disclaimer states this is the total price available to all consumers and excludes only tax, title, license, and standard government fees -- which run about $3k at this price, putting the real out-the-door around $23,600. I have screenshots of both the price and the disclaimer. Before making the trip, I messaged their team to confirm the vehicle. They replied in writing confirming the car was available and directed me to that advertised listing, and I confirmed details by phone so I wouldn't waste anyone's time. Then I drove 75 miles to see it. The test drive went well and I was ready to buy. I asked for exactly the advertised price plus tax, title, and license -- and specifically declined all optional add-on packages. That's when it fell apart. After about a 45-minute wait, the first number back was roughly $33,000 out-the-door, loaded with optional products I had already declined. I asked them to strip it down to the advertised price plus TTL. They came back with an 'immovable' dealer fee of around $3,900 -- pushing the total to about $27,000. When I asked what that fee was and to remove it, they said they couldn't, and that the manager 'couldn't sell the car at the listed price.' The salesman, Paul, told me they were 'underwater on the car and would be selling at a loss.' That is not the buyer's problem. Do not advertise a price you aren't willing to honor. I told them it was a no-deal and walked. Halfway across the lot they stopped me to say someone inside could now 'do $26,500' -- still thousands above the advertised price. Advertising a price, confirming the vehicle in writing, and then refusing to sell at that price while padding the deal with a ~$3,900 'dealer fee' is, at best, a deeply misleading way to do business. My advice to anyone shopping here is don't - but if you decide to: get every number in writing before you drive out, and know that the advertised price may not be honored once you arrive.
