I ordered the lemongrass beef banh mi with the added pate. The bread is good and has a nice crunch on the outside, the beef had good flavor and they put a good amount in the sandwich and the pickled veggies were nice and crunchy! However where the sandwich was lacking was the pate, it had no flavor or salt whatsoever and just tasted like a thick flavorless paste in my sandwich. I'm not sure if it was a one off and it's usually better but if I were to get it again I definitely wouldn't get the added pate.

To the person from CA who posted in 2009... I'm sure organic…read morewas a lot more expensive in '09 simply because there were fewer businesses producing organic. These days it's not unusual for the conventional baskets to contain a percentage or organic. I've volunteered since I first started. Produce varies based on the season, just like the grocery store. By being familiar with what's actually in season can help you determine if you want to contribute or not. But one of the neat things about BB is they frequently surprise me, still, by what I would call a rabbit out of the hat trick. Something different or just plain unusual shows up. I had never hear of Seckel Pears before I participated in BB. I would never bring home Artichokes, Bok Choy, Oro Blancos, Daikon Radish, green Bananas, or Plantains. Well the truth here is I wouldn't choose to bring home green bananas , still. It's a bargain to participate and the produce is more often than not, perfect. If it is not, that would be the site coordinators fault. And like one other mentioned, volunteering even for BB is rewarding. You get a little bonus of something extra to add to your basket and a chance to make a few friends too.

ZERO STARS I just…read moredrove 2 hours round trip to pick up a "basket" I paid $83 for. What did I get? The 15 pounds of beans I ordered were moldy so the site volunteer rejected them, thankfully. Their "Conventional" basket was $21 and I possibly got my money's worth there, but certainly no bargain. But the 40 pounds of oranges I ordered are green (unripe by any definition), smooshed, and moldy. I've no idea why these weren't rejected as well, but as it was pouring buckets during pickup and they only allowed you to drive up while they put the stuff in your car -and then you have to leave, you don't get to inspect anything before leaving, which means if there is a problem you're just out the money. - There's a new twist to their rules of having to inspect your baskets before you leave or you're just out the money. Lucky me, I got to spend $27 on moldy beans and $29 on unripe nasty oranges. I tried to email the "owners" (Tanya and Sally) but guess what! The email address is INVALID and there is absolutely no way to contact the people who took your money. There is no number to call and no recourse. DO NOT buy into this scam. I'm just glad I didn't throw away more money with them. I remember going in on baskets with a friend 10 years ago and the stuff was great. No so anymore. Welcome to 2025; all scam, all garbage, all the time. I'm so angry! Groceries are already outrageous but this is absolutely criminal!

My partner and I have been using Nature's purpose for 7 months and I'll tell you why I love it. Natures purpose has been the first service that I have had absolutely no issues with. First, they don't require a subscription, I simply order the meals I want each week and that's what I get. Such a simple concept, yet hardly anyone does it. Second, since they're local the food is always a fresh and has good quality ingredients. Third, the website actually gives you all the nutrition information you need. I tried so many places that would leave that out and only give you calories. Being able to see how much protein is in a dish is so important to me. Also, they have different sizes and tell the nutrition of each size. Fourth, the variety of food is great, I never get bored of the meals because there are so many to choose from and they add new ones all the time. Fifth, is the support. Delivery is always on time, and I've had a broken container every once in a while, and I've gotten refunds each time as well as an offer for a replacement. 6th and final, it's tasty and affordable. The prices are what made me check them out in the first place, but the flavor is what made me stay. All of these things rolled up helped me lose 45 pounds in the last 7 months. I started at medium sizes and worked my way down to small sizes while focusing on high protein meals.
