We have been ordering from Next Step off and on for over 3 years now, and our experience has always been excellent. We first started ordering after our second child was born and just needed readily-accessible healthy meals. The meals are very fairly priced, and the quality is always great. I'm not saying they are perfect, but no person or business is. The key is that they always make it right in the rare case where there was an issue. Also, their delivery people are always courteous and respectful - in particular Patricia has been so kind to make sure not to ring the doorbell late in case our kids are already in bed. Thank you Next Step! Keep up the good work! read more

I've been using this company on an off for a couple years. I started ordering from the company again about a month ago and have noticed a few things have changed: -There seems to be more sauces I'm not really a fan of. -My fridge smells like whatever sauces or seasonings being used and I'm not a fan of that either. -The containers seem to have a lot more grease at the bottom when the food is gone than before. -The delivery person used to let you know when they were on their way to your house, now they just show up. Even though there's a delivery period of 5.5 hours listed when you order, yes...the old notice that someone was actually on their way was appreciated. -There used to be more vegetables. In one of the meals this week, there were only 6 pieces of vegetables (in the large portion). A week or two ago I complained the potatoes were burned. The company responded to my complaint. This week, there were potatoes in the green chili chicken that weren't cooked thoroughly. I didn't complain this week, because I complained the last time I ordered. But if you can't cook the potatoes without overcooking them or undercooking them, maybe you shouldn't offer them as an option. This week, I sent a message asking what the macros for the steak meal were, but I never received a response. I also included a picture of container not having a label. Their website says "Each meal varies in the number of carbs/protein/macros but are guaranteed to be healthy options. Each meal prep has labels to provided detailed description of the serving size." Aside from the errors in those sentences lol...this is the second time I've had to email the company to get the macros for the labels that weren't on the container...but this time, no one responded. I use this meal service because I used to enjoy the food, the macro labels and to make my life easier. But it doesn't seem like that's the case anymore. read more

Next Step Meal Prep - No label. Notice the sauce? Idk what kinda sauce this is either! - Food Delivery Services Near Me

12/11/23 Updating my review. I did speak with the owner after numerous emails and phone calls. Turns out the company is not fraudulent, but suffered a family emergency and went incommunicado for a number of weeks right when I placed my order. My order was a gift and for a specific event, so when it never got delivered, I had to find another option and was left with no choice but to reverse the charges with my bank. Once I spoke to the owner he offered to replace the meals at no cost to me, but by then it was too late. Glad the company is not fraudulent. read more

BEST LOCAL MEAL PREP COMPANY!! This is my second week on Next Step Meal Prep and all I can say is amazing things about this company! From start to finish their team is on top of it and definitely shows how much they value their customers. From ordering to delivering everything was quick and FRESH!!!! Heres just a few reasons why I would recommend Next Step to anyone: - Food is cooked perfectly with just the right amount of flavour - Stickers on the container containing your Calories,Fats, Proteins, Carbs are very helpful if you're trying to track your daily meals. - You can Freeze any left over meals after Thursday and it will stay fresh for the next time you're craving that special meal. - Convient and Easy!! You get your meals delivered straight to your house with no service charge which I believe is a BONUS!! The driver communicates with you through out the day to provide great service! - There is a new menu every week so you know exactly what you will be having in advance! - Price point compared to other companies is very reasonable!! Thank you!!! Cant wait for next weeks meals! read more

Food is good. Unfortunately the service is non existent. They have dessert options on their order submission menu, they take the money, and don't deliver the goods. I mentioned it via text in a conversation with the primary phone number on their site, or was ignored. I gave it another chance, ordered again with desserts, mentioned the situation in the comments of the order, and once again my money was taken and desserts weren't included. I wrote an email stating the issue. It also went ignored. I've decided to no longer order from this company because they stole my money and have ignored all communications about the issue. It's unfortunate because their food is good, but I don't want to have to worry about losing money when I order from a company. read more

I just ordered my first six meals. I will be ordering again. Although, I wish we had an option for 8 meals. Very impressed. 10/10 recommend read more

Update: Next Step Meal Prep reached out to me and fixed the issue. As mentioned previously, their meals are delicious and the only way I can eat vegetables, it was just those mistakes that made me give them a poor review, but them addressing the issue shows how much they care about their customers. Thank you Next Step! read more

Meals are delicious and good quality. Driver had great communication and was super friendly. They did mess up my order a little bit, but were super fast to respond to my complaint and issued a partial refund. Will be ordering again :) read more

I would recommend Next Step Meal Prep. I was naturally attracted to the company because how affordable each meal is and that I didn't have to do any prep. The meals tend to fill me up (I get the 12 small meals) and tasty. The only complaint I have is that after heating there is water at the bottom of the container. My easy fix for that is to dump it out. Again, the meals overall have great taste. I forsure have my favorites that I've ordered in the past and cannot wait for them to come back. The service is great! Communication is effecient, as if you have questions about your order they are responsive. Also the drivers reach out to you throughout the day until delivery. Overall, great investment. read more

First I should start by saying the food is amazing, very tasty and delicious .. the customer service is horrible though.. they take forever to respond to questions and I end up having to text/message a few times before getting a response. They have messed up on a few of my ordersand don't really go above and beyond to Make it right. I just think they can do More, I keep using them for the simple fact that once again there food is so good and my two year old son really enjoys it. read more

Used it a bunch in the spring, deliveries were a bit erratic, but not really an issue. Tried to pick it back up and received a confirmation email that my order was received. Wasn't asked to pay so I followed up via email. Was then told that if they had time to make my order they would call me Sunday around the delivery window. Not a fan of having my meals contingent on someone else "having time". Just have a blanket statement addressing the missed order window. Food doesn't sit well after wednesday/thursday. Stay away from their "Hawaiian/pineapple" meals. Delivery people are always good though. read more

This company is incredible, hands down! I myself, like many people out there, enjoy eating healthy. I have been meal prepping for a very long time but I also found myself incredibly busy throughout the week for quite some time now. Ordering from this company has made it easy for me to come home and grab a meal after a long day and not give in to grabbing fast food on the way home. The food is amazing quality with wonderful flavors, and unlike prepping for myself there are many options to choose from and not tire from the "same ol same ol" that makes it hard to stay on track with your diet or goals. I love how the menu changes from week to week giving your taste buds new flavors to fall in love with. The phone calls I have had with questions have been nothing but pleasant and enjoyable. I couldn't have found a better company to trust partnering with for a healthy lifestyle change. I have been beyond impressed with this team, and like my roommates and myself you too will be beyond impressed with the decision to partner with Next Step Meal Prep! Thanks for all you guys do, you have our business!! read more

Food was good. I ordered twice, and the second order they left out 3 of the 12 meals that I ordered. I tried several times to get in touch with the company by sending 3 emails and leaving 3 phone messages. I did not receive any response. They obviously don't care about their customers and have horrible customer service. By reading the other reviews it seems that this is the norm. read more

I've used them for a month now. The food has been hit or miss. But they offer some vegetarian meals that my teenager loves, and it's convenient, so I've continued ordering. This week they forgot to include my snacks ($12 worth). And they didn't leave the edamame off of the meals like we requested. I've tried to contact them four different times and have received no response. A great idea, mostly good food, but their customer service really needs some work. read more

I submitted an order form and received a confirmation email stating someone would call me within 24 hours to confirm my order and no one ever called. Guess they don't need the business. From some of the other reviews I've read its probably a good thing. read more

Fantastic! I'm a busy working mom of 3 with a remodel going on. Next Step made it super easy to continue my weight loss journey through all of that, AND the food is delicious! read more

Overall the food is great, but their responses to questions or requests for customization are severely lacking. They either don't respond or they partially respond and never get back to you. Not great customer service especially when it comes to ordering by a specific time. read more

I'm updating due to the service we received from Kevin, the company's owner. He was willing to address the issues listed in my initial review and explained that the company is just starting to implement a gift card service which is why there were some mix ups with our orders. As previously mentioned, the food is very tasty and would definitely recommend. read more

Just ordered these and they were delicious and super convenient! Love the variety and options each week! My 3 boys and husband all loved them too and so easy for them just to heat and I know they are getting a balanced meal! read more

HIGHLY recommend! This is just my third week ordering meals (I order 12 large meals a week) and am pleased with everything thus far. Meals-- The menu rotates which is great because it creates a little bit of eagerness for me to try the new meals I haven't had yet. I have liked every meal and loved a few. Each meal has been 600 calories or less. Lots of variety Delivery-- Delivery occurs at the same time every Sunday. They send you a reminder Saturday night. The deliverer texts you when they're on the way. Makes it very effortless. Price-- $7-$8/meal. Lots of value. I've seen some services charging more than $10 The only thing I would ask them for is macros for each meal when I'm ordering. I don't get to see calories/macronutrients until I receive the meals and each has a sticker on the side. This, of course, is no reason to give them any less than a 5-star rating though. read more

We just ate the first of 12 meals delivered today from Next Step Meal Prep and they are an absolute home run! They are a fraction of the price of dining out and quite frankly much healthier. We are fitness enthusiasts and the protein/carb ratios are right in line with what we would make here at home. We are hooked. read more

I really enjoy the convenience of the service and for the most part the meals are very delicious. However, I have noticed sometimes the veggie portions are not fully cooked. Also, my first delivery I received a text when they were close by and the 2nd delivery I didn't get any notification. Maybe it was just a different driver? Anyway, I really enjoy the convenience of the service especially since I work at night. read more

I signed up and submitted my order on Monday and gotten a email back saying they received my order. However my car was never charged and honestly i probably should have called and confirm with them but no I didn't. So when Sunday comes and I'll wait at my home, no one showed up for delivery. I called and someone pick up the phone and I let him know that I didn't receive my meals, he proceeded look up my name and said that I was not in the system and that they would give me a call back. Well I didn't receive that call back. Anyway, I don't know how the food taste, I just saw that the ordering process is such a pain. I think I'm going to look for another company. read more

Best meal prep company in AZ! Been with Next Step since July 2017!! Has made huge impact on my life! Thank you!

Been with them for about a month now and I can definitely say I'm pleased, they send a text when they start delivering the food which is always on time. The food tastes great and they switch it up every three weeks so you don't get bored of what you're eating, the only thing better than the food is the price. read more

Love that they deliver and the food taste great. Love that they change the menu every two weeks so I don't get bored!

The BEST food ever! Amazing taste, convenient, reasonably priced and great price. I love this company! I recommended them with ten stars! It's helped me to get back on track with my eating habits and busy lifestyle! read more

I've been ordering my meals from Next Step for about the last 4 months and love it!! The meals are delicious! My favorite ones are the Steak burrito bowl, Surf and Turf, Sesame Beef and Ropa Vieja just to name a few. The menu changes every 2 weeks, so I really like the variety!! All of the meals fit in with my weight loss and fitness goals. I highly recommend to anyone looking for great quality food at a great price!! read more

I can't thank Kevin enough! It was the start of my much needed journey! I was eating large portions of food and needed to do something without "dieting". Instead of eating large portions in the cafeteria, next step meal prep helped me watch my portions. Between my Juice Plus Shake, eating his meals and eating before 6, I'm down 34 pounds! Thankful and grateful guys! read more

I have been ordering from this company for the past 6-7 weeks and I love their food. The meals are healthy and tastes delicious! I got my family, friends, and coworkers ordering from them. Next Step Meal Prep - Gainzzzz for daysssss!!!! - Food Delivery Services Near Me

I have been a customer for the most part since they started up. I have had a couple of issues which Kevin dealt with immediately. The drivers have all been on-time and easily will work with you on time and place of delivery. Last but not least... price and convenience. Seriously, 2 adults can eat healthy meals 6 nights a week for about $8/meal ea. Time and the cost of food to cook is worth that. Highly recommend this business. Tell Kevin that JD recommended you. ;-) read more

Amazing! First week (day) trying Next Step Meal Prep and the Chicken Fajita Bowl is fantastic! Will be placing my order for next week. Placing an order is extremely easy and their delivery was prompt! Container had a break down of the calories, protein, fiber etc. Amazing food & amazing service. read more

Love this delivery service. I have ordered 18 meals a week for the past 3 weeks. The best part is that the menu changes every week so you don't get tired of the food like other services. You also have the option to order small or large meals. I order the small and my BF orders the large and he says it's the perfect amount of food for him. You can also order snacks and the cheese cake is bomb (a must order). I hope the keep serving the breakfast burritos every week tho. The only thing I would suggest in the future would be allowing people to order 2x a week. The food just tastes way better before you freeze it. read more

Seriously, this is a game changer. I work full time, balance a social life and train way too much. When I tried meal prepping myself I would either lose money on not eating everything or lose interest and not cook it. I would take pick up something on the way home and regret it. With next step you pick out what you want online and Sunday... Poof its at your door. They text you with a time estimate and super friendly people. Every meal I have had is amazing and I am down 5 pounds in three weeks. Amazing how when your diet is right everything just falls into place. read more

Next Step Meal Prep is great and affordable. This was my first time ordering and it exceeded my expectations. All the meals I ordered have been delicious. The also put a small sticker on each box listing the calories and macros. I would recommend this service to anybody in the area. read more

I am very sad that i have to leave this negative review , but i have to give my honest feedback. I was really excited to try this meal prep service after reading all the great reviews and looking at the pictures of how good the meals looked. The meals were pricey but if it saved me time from cooking and cleaning i was up for it. I was delivered my meals on Sunday as promised but after trying my meals i was unimpressed. They had literally no flavor! I could've made bland rice and chicken at home for way less money. The rice was disgusting and dry the chicken was just ok. With no sauce or anything it was literally JUST chicken and rice nothing special . I ordered the orange chicken and the fajita chicken and i could t tell the difference at all in taste. Just BLAND . Don't expect these meals to have flavor because they don't. I reached out to Next step meal prep about my dissatisfaction and their advice was to "add some sauce to it next time" hmmm ok for 7$ a meal i shouldn't have to add anything . They also stated they would give me a refund "discount" which i still have not received. I reached out again and was told 3-5 business days to see the discount reflect i will be shocked if i ever get any discount refunded . If they actually do the right thing and refund more than 10$ i May edit this to add another star but for now they deserve nothing more than one star. I did not eat any of my 6 meals and it was a complete waste of money! read more
