Second trip to the Protein Spot and both of my drinks were awesome. I got the butterfinger yesterday and the Boss today. The boss was recommended by the owner. He was very helpful and kind. It has great flavor and a bit of a bite to it thanks to the walnuts. They also had a ton of different coffees and energy based drinks. Unfortunately, for those of us who choose to not support MLMs and their predatory nature, it's not until you get close enough to make your order or go to the back to use the restroom that you see Herbalife containers everywhere. Quite sneaky and honestly uncool. My friend who ordered didn't pick up on the signs like I did, but I declined to order something for myself. I decided to taste her smoothie though, in case I was mistaken--I was open to trying it at least. Unfortunately I was disappointed. If there was any fresh fruit in her drink I certainly couldn't taste it. Even the strawberry topping her smoothie was clearly candied and not fresh. Instead I just tasted artificial flavorings and colors, had a chalky texture, and was repulsively sweet. I can't image it's all that healthy for you. My go to at NLN is her smoothie bowls but I also enjoy her refreshing fruit teas. I often get them cold and they are very refreshing and give me enough energy to go through the day. Overall a 10/10 Nutrition Cafe. Would recommend after a workout or for those looking for something healthier to eat. read more

Tried out Next Level Nutrition in Riverbank. Was pretty impressed with my Cookies and Cream Shake under 300 calories, less than 15 grams of carbs with 30 grams of protein. I need to get used to the flavored teas. But pleasantly suprised. Give them a try and support local businesses. The woman working was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will visiting them again.
