As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two gentlemen who were incredibly kind and welcoming. We headed toward the café area and it smelled amazing. I ordered an almond iced coffee, and my friend got a salted coffee (can't remember the exact name), but we drank them down so fast because they were that good. The balance was perfect--you can actually taste the coffee, not just sugar or milk like at other places I've tried. You can tell they really take pride in their shop and their craft. I'll definitely be coming back. It's been hard to find truly good coffee around here, and I'm happy to say I've finally found my spot

I had a simple custom request and the barista's reaction honestly made me feel uncomfortable for even asking. The facial expressions and attitude felt very dismissive instead of helpful or welcoming. I totally understand not every order is standard, but as a customer you shouldn't feel awkward ordering a drink. What made it stand out even more is that I had gone to Pure Grind Coffee & Juice Bar the day before, and their barista actually asked around and tried to help make my drink the way I wanted it. That kind of effort and kindness goes a long way. I'm big on supporting local businesses, so this review isn't about being dramatic just honest. Good coffee can bring people in once, but good service is what makes people come back. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

While I typically avoid paying premium prices for coffee, I decided to treat myself and finally give this location a try. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and placed an order for three iced coffees, which I stated clearly. When my order was delivered, two of the drinks were iced, while one was served hot. I calmly and politely mentioned that all three were supposed to be iced coffees. At that point, I overheard an employee respond in the background with an attitude, stating that I had ordered the drink hot. I fully understand that mistakes can happen--orders can be entered incorrectly, and errors are part of any service environment. However, my concern lies with the dismissive attitude and the decision to challenge the customer's request in front of them. This interaction left a poor impression, and as a result, I do not plan to return to this establishment. I will instead continue supporting my usual coffee shops.

Off the top of my head they were out of all flavors of deviled eggs, pulled pork, tuna for the poke stack and poke bowl, risotto balls, some wines, and a couple other things I don't recall. The first couple times the waitress said something we wanted was out we didn't mind and pivoted, especially since she said those were the only items they were out of. However, it quickly became evident that was not the case. She said the reason was it was Sunday and they are only open Thursday-Sunday so they often run out of stock during the Sunday rush. Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I had such high hopes to make this my regular pastry shop, because what I've tried has been very good. We don't have pastry shops here in Modesto that you can enjoy besides Mr. T's donuts, but those are donuts (delicious) but I want croissants of various flavors! The Mexican bread sold here is mid and the village cake shop is not good! This is where I miss my hometown of S.F where there is an endless variety of shops you can choose from that are all pretty damn tasty. We lack that here so very much. I almost always have a small Mocha Chill, no whipped cream, often with an extra shot. The service is spot on each and every time, love that they ask me for my loyalty card (which they dutifully stamp and initial). The barista is always friendly, the drink done exactly right, and the experience worth repeating. Way back in the day they used to give me the empty metal coffee bean cans which I would take to my classroom for demonstrations (we used atmospheric pressure to crush them much to the delight of my middle schoolers.
