Consistently upbeat and friendly. I am frequently welcomed with a smile and a warm greeting. It's hard to beat excellent customer service... it's a lost art these days. The menu has range. There are traditional options and a few unique ones! The pastries are beyond spectacular. Their coffee cake is one of my favorite indulgences. The place is packed between 9 and 12 on weekends. Plan to get there early or plan to bring friends you want to chat with while you wait for your table during the busy period... there's a reason why this place is in high demand! It's local! It's a friendly environment! It's cozy! Most importantly, it's delicious.

We split the Vanilla Bread Pudding French Toast (baked and served with mascarpone cream, banana, and fresh caramel). It was a massive portion and a combination of two of my favorite things--it doesn't get much better than that. It was very tasty, though a little dry for my taste, so I did need a side of syrup. We also ordered sides of the Biscuit & Chorizo Gravy and the Red Breakfast Potatoes. The biscuit and gravy was the absolute show-stealer; that gravy was so flavorful! The potatoes were smaller than I expected but still delicious. I added some Secret Aardvark sauce to both, but that's just how I roll. Service was excellent; Hailey was both efficient and very pleasant!

She recommended the carrot cake -- which was GOOD. The icing was great, which is my favorite part of a cake. I also had the gravy and biscuits. I'm from the south so I'm picky about gravy and biscuits. It passed the test!

The biscuits were not biscuits. They were so hard and flat I thought it was sourdough slices but it was a handmade biscuit but very hard, flat, and tough. Worst I've ever had. The home fries weren't to my liking but my husband loved them. The pancakes were some the best gf v ones I've had but still felt very... gf. They were rubbery and chewy but not grainy like gf tends to be. They were fluffy. Overall I'd have preferred regular pancakes. The waitress suggested them to me instead of the French toast which she told me wasn't very good and vegan French toast is hard to do (not true I do it at home... but appreciate the honesty). The tempeh bacon, tofu scramble, and sausage was also applauded at the table but I didn't personally try it. I found the chicken too chewy but others like it. The carrot cake was good but the icing is a lot. Very rich and sweet. I'm probably the only person who likes a more savory icing everyone else liked the cake but agreed you couldn't eat a whole slice yourself. the coffee was great and they kept refilling in true diner style. They offer soy and oat milk. There were other things on the menu we were curious about so we will go back.

The atmosphere was wonderful and you can see the owner put money into the decor to show a bit more class and design. I ordered the PP wings to start and I gotta tell you, you need to try these!! Soo good, with a nice crisp, breading and unique sauce. The Tongkatsu Ramen was really good in all aspects. I love the corn and the eggs, the pork and broth had nice flavorings. I ordered mango juice, which was a nice treat. They even served water to my table while seating me; in a tall carafe, which was a nice touch of class. Great food, good prices, very friendly service and you definitely have to try the PP wings!!

Looks like it used to be a taproom. Focus is on ramen but menu also feature other core Japanese dishes, as well as a khao soi (possibly Thai owned?) Went for classic tonkotsu ramen. Flavorful broth that was actually on the lighter side, but I was down for it. Toppings include pork belly, marinated bamboo shoots, corn, green onion, red ginger, nori (seaweed), and a perfectly boiled egg. Noodles had a good bite to them and were prepared well. Overall really solid.

Stand out food and very friendly and attentive service. Lengua tacos - perfectly cooked fall apart lengua and the portions are generous! Rice and beans - at last a place that knows how to season their rice and make some cheesy creamy beans!!! Chile relleno burrito - so much flavor! They did right by the humble poblano pepper and actually took the time to roast it - and you can tell - the smoky sweet poblano flavor really comes through and the breading around it even though it's sandwiched in a burrito layered with cheese and rice stays perfectly in tact. This burrito is a stand out. Guacamole - perfect. You can tell there's no filler it's all avocado, tomatoes and lime. Complimentary Salsas- deep and rich smoky salsas, zingy and tangy avocado line salsas - these salsas pack so much depth of flavor - you'd never expect this caliber of salsa from something housed in a squirt bottle. Flan - oh yes, come hither. Reach and creamy with a lot of body and just the right level of sweetness. If you love Mexican food and have had your heart broken by the mediocre meh-ish food options around the metro area - come here !!!

We were seated and promptly served chips and salsa which was yummy. The restaurant is LOUD when it's busy so you'll be yelling to hear each other. The layout is kinda interesting...it's just one large room with a bunch of tables. Then the open kitchen and bar to the side (separated by a wall). We got the carne asada fries to share and these were delicious. 9/10. Huge portion too! For my son, he got the ceviche. It's just shrimp, would be cool if they added more seafood. Dish was $25+. He said it was an 8.5/10. I got the garlic butter shrimp enchiladas, also for $25. Like why is everything so overpriced. For the quality / taste, def not worth $25. The enchiladas were just okay. Our waitress and the staff were nice, no problems there. The house made horchata is deliciousssss.
