There are a few tables outside too, complete with propane heaters and umbrellas. We have been coming here with our kids since they were in highchairs. The rotating Waffle of the Month specials have always been a hit with them. The menu offers a lot of flexibility regarding component selections and preparation. Favorites include the Smoked Salmon Avocado Benedict, the Iron Miner's Scramble (eggs, red potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, black beans, and gravy), and the Lake Grove Breakfast (omelet or scramble). The food is tasty and high quality, as are the coffee and the Bloody Marys. Service is friendly and competent in our experience. Babica Hen takes reservations for parties of eight or more - otherwise, it's first come, first served. The restaurant is located next to the (formerly COVID mask-wearing) large elephant statue which is part of Lake Oswego's Gallery Without Walls outdoor sculpture exhibition. Our kids compliment my wife's homecooked breakfasts by exclaiming, "We're eating at Mama-ca Hen!"

The coffee was super acidic that I asked to have take it back. I can drink just about any coffee but that was something else. During that time we couldn't get our servers attention at all. One of the ice teas had a giant hair in it. They said oh.. I will get a new one.. Nothing else. When the food came out one of them came with a salad and the dressing was so acidic and sour we couldn't eat it. The rest of the food was mediocre at best.
