Review by @SoldByMarvin.com Stopped by Next Level Burger inside the flagship Whole Foods and tried the Chik'n Bacon Ranch Burger with a side of onion rings -- and I've got to say, this spot lives up to its name in terms of freshness and plant-based creativity. The burger had great balance: crispy "chik'n" patty, smoky vegan bacon, and that creamy ranch sauce that tied everything together. The toppings were fresh, the bun held up well, and the flavors felt satisfying without being greasy or heavy. You can tell they put care into presentation and texture, which goes a long way when you're eating plant-based. The onion rings were a real highlight -- golden, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. They came out hot and didn't have that oily aftertaste you get from some fryers. The pricing leans a little high for counter-style service inside a grocery store, and the seating area doesn't exactly scream "restaurant vibe." Since it's in the middle of Whole Foods so you'll have to catch a seat near the entrance or outside. But the staff was friendly especially Mr Curry , the food came out quick, and it's a solid win for anyone craving a hearty vegan meal in central Austin. Would definitely go back when I'm in Whole Foods and want something indulgent but still plant-based.

I ordered delivery from uber eats and the burgers came in flimsy paper wrap, instead of proper boxes, and the bag wasn't sealed, everything arrived open and exposed. Tiny and expensive for what you get, and the amount of salt was overwhelming. The burger itself was nothing special: small, poorly balanced flavors, and completely ruined by how oversalted it was. Definitely not worth the price. And even if it was cheaper, it would still be a bad experience tbh.

Ok so glad to get dinny from all vegan place in Austin! Appreciated ordering on kiosk, sometimes a bitch feels mute. Whole Foods had plenty of seating to eat it at. Got the hickory hunny chicken bucket. Tendies were good, what you would expect ... did like the sauce on them for sure! Fries were kinda mid but the ranch was bomb so they were pretty much just my sauce vehicle anyways. Coleslaw was pretty mid but nice that it came with the meal. For like $16.5ish before tip, it was good--needed a solid meal and it delivered. Love the veg representation. Whole Foods is a good vibe. can't complain

Located inside a Whole Foods, I was craving a burger and decided to give this one a try. I ordered the buffalo chikn sandwich, and it was just okay--I wished the patty had been crispier. For the size, the price of the burger felt a bit steep.

Service at the counter was great. Didn't order using the kiosks because I didn't know how to use the BOGO from the app. They asked for my number and as soon as they were finishing up packing my order, I received a text to my phone. I ordered the limited edition burger with a side of onion rings (forgetting that they come on the burger as well). I really liked the onion rings! They were slightly on the oily side but they were really crunchy when I got them. There was the option to either order 6 onion rings or 10. I also picked the chipotle mayo as a side for that which I think came without extra charge. The burger...well, my advice would be to start on the end/side with the onion rings or the burger will lose its shape towards the middle of your eating. The patty was pretty bland with most of the flavor coming from their mayo and onion ring toppings. I would love to try their other flavors-- since this is a limited edition burger I don't think it's super indicative of their other flavors. Since this is located inside the Whole Foods, there were plenty of seating options!

Inside of Whole Foods! Burgers are pricey at $11+ for the most part, but good. Tried the SoCal burger which has an interesting quinoa patty that is a bit crumbly. I will say I've learned I'm not a huge fan of tempeh bacon as a sub for bacon. I may go for more of the impossible patties next time. Whole Foods parking lot available for parking. It gets crowded but there's an overflow parking garage.

When Next Level Burger opened up in Concord, I remember being distinctly unimpressed. That memory stayed with me, keeping me away, but now I regret that time apart because the Austin location is a whole different story. Located conveniently inside the North Lamar Whole Foods, you have the luxury of abundant, free, covered parking, and can get all your healthy groceries while you're there. I like to think of it as an incentive for the effort. Head down to the front of the store, by the salad bars, Amazon return center, and Juiceland outpost. What makes this place special is the people. I've never had such patient, friendly, and kind service even when the app is bugging out and no one can make it work. They will find a way to make it right. I'd wait any amount of time to get my hands on these amazing sandwiches, especially the crispy chicken! I know it's a burger place, but trust me, you NEED the crispy chicken. It's immaculately fried, resoundingly crunchy, comes on a soft and buttery bun, and has genuinely fresh, crisp veggies on top. It's just perfection. The onion rings also deserve a shout-out. Again, flawless crispy finish, and the onions are tender, so they don't end up pulling out of the batter like gross oniony worms. Get the chipotle mayo and dip to your heart's content. Yes, everything is vegan. No, it doesn't taste like it. Yes, you want to find out for yourself.

Pricey but delicious. I had the chickn burger with guacamole added and it was phenomenal. I also had the loaded fries but that was too much. It was good but just a bit too much. Will be back!

So delicious!!!! Conveniently located inside Whole Foods. They also have an app reward program and you can get freebies! Everything was great and entirely vegan. I had the SoCal burger and sweet potato fries-it's really a hard choice on the menu. I think I made a great choice and even after eating every bite, didn't feel as heavy as most fast food places. My husband (non veg) also really enjoyed his classic cheeseburger and tots. Already planning to come back asap!

I didn't realize this was inside Whole Foods but the directions led me there and a worker told me where to go. Delicious food, would love to go Back and try more options. No Indoor seating that I could see so I sat outside where there were tables. Plenty of parking in WF lot

I walked away from eating here so conflicted. I'm visiting from out of state, staying with family that lives in Pflugerville. My brother who works in Austin has been excited for me to visit because I went plant based a few months ago and he has been raving that Austin has so many wonderful options for this lifestyle. After spending the morning and most of the day exploring Austin I was beyond excited to go eat at Next Level Burger. I had spent a few days before looking up a place to indulge because I do cook predominantly at home. Every single item sounded amazing and rich! The prices were extremely reasonable. I was in love with the fact that they use coconut to make their ice cream, I couldn't wait! The location! Great location, inside a Whole Foods along with 2 or 3 other for choices(ideal for the whole family, even if not all are plant based/ vegan/vegetarian). Whole Foods itself had a great variety of food choices so there is no need to fret about everyone finding something to eat. My husband walked the aisles to find something for him as i looked over the menu. Customer Service This is where I reduce my stars. I went 16MAR22 at around 1500. Both kiosks were being used to order from. I noticed there was a lady who had just got done taking an order, she hadn't been there for at least 10 minutes when I first arrived(I imagine that that was due to it being busy/ her having to fulfill orders). I had my nephew by my side and had my husband on my phone and I told him to hold while I ask questions and order before I walked up to the counter. The conversion went like this Me: Hello, I'm able to order with you correct? I ask because I see the kiosks but I just want to make sure Cashier: Well yeah(looks at the register) Either way its going to be a while. Are you ready to order Me: Yes Cashier: You do know that this is a vegetarian place do you? Me: Yes, I know I read your menu Cashier: ok I proceed to order and I asked two questions, after the first question the cashier verbalizes annoyed and exasperated "Do you need more time to look over the menu and order?" I was so surprised at the response and tone that I rushed to order JUST to not interact with this woman any more. She let's me know when to insert my card and before I insert my card she starts to walk away and verbalizes "it'll be a while before your food is ready". Doesn't offer me a receipt, just walks away. At this point my husband had walked over to me and was angry, he had heard the entire interaction via the phone and asked me why I even went through with ordering at this establishment after hearing how rude the employee spoke to me. I told him it was purely out of hunger and the location at this point. *The cherry on top!* When my order was ready I asked her if I could have a fork She replies "Why do you need a fork?" Annoyed with her response I calmly asked"Do you have utensils here or not ma'am? " She then turns and walks 2 steps to get me a fork and puts it in my bag. I truly felt like an annoyance to this woman, so much that I walked away irritated. The reason I wrote at the beginning of this review that I left conflicted was because the food was amazing. I come from hospitality and food service. I know how to treat my guests and ensure each interaction and experience be a positive one. With these past two years I understand the stress that many businesses have gone through just to stay open. That's why I truly love supporting small businesses and growing establishments and believe leaving honest reviews and experiences like this are important. I ordered so hurriedly that I didn't even order the shake or sides I wanted. I told him my husband that I might consider coming back, if we pass by Austin again but this experience was not great solely due to the customer service I received.

    BeerChz Style Fries
    Pree R.

I was craving vegan fries with all the cool toppings. This location is inside a Whole Foods, so it's perfect for grabbing a kombucha along with your order, and heading out to eat your meal at the top patio. I got the BeerChz Style Fries which were sub-par. There was not a lot of flavor, and a lot of caramelized onion, which isn't bad, but just didn't add to to the lack of flavor already present. Still, giving four stars because whenever vegan stuff is around, I'm happy!

Either your oil needed to be changed 2 days ago, or your timer stopped working. Both came out brown and tasted of bitter overused oil. Now to the burger. I do appreciate the amount of pickle slices on this burger, but this heavy hand was also responsible for the mustard levels! I think i'll be tasting mustard for a couple days. I'm a girl who prefers no pickles on burgers so that's my own bias but even my partner stated he felt the burger was very pickle forward. Both the burger and fries were well cooked but my feedback is slapping what seems to be sliced cheese that will only melt to the top layer of fries and leave the rest without any toppings feels like a missed opportunity. It makes it harder even grab fries because they are conjoined together by the cheese. I like consistency in each bite, once the top layer of fries was gone they were just plain Jane fries. I studied their website before we went as a review session and they have a section with ingredients and options for food allergies and special diets. I got there prepared and the owner was there and I found out that website hasn't been updated in about 2 years. Many things have changed, but not their website. Our go-to Meati Sandwich is no longer on the menu. But I must say I love the new place. Bold, clean, awesome. Other than that, not too much has changed; they still have a lot of mouthwatering items on the menu... and my family can only eat one burger on the menu. We're allium-free vegetarians and there's alliums in sauces and certain proteins used. Thankfully, we were speaking to one of the co-owners and he was super helpful and patient with us, even looking up ingredients and letting us double check. He is aware of the Jain diet. They also have a kids menu and we actually ordered off of one for the first time for the kids (just a simplified version of the regular burgers), We ended up ordering: MISSION BURGER ($16.95): a classic burger with 2 Impossible patties. Having said that, the patties were super thin and smooshed flat. The guys got this burger. Took out onions and subbed out the house sauce with ketchup and mustard. JR MISSION BURGER ($12.95): same as the regular with only 1 of the smooshed impossible patties. My sister and I got this. A very good burger and it's such a nostalgic feeling eating a burger (that I didn't make myself for once). The burger was perfectly filling but I could definitely also eat a regular Mission with no issues since the patties are smooshed down. KIDS' CHEESEBURGER W/ FRIES (1 with a gluten-free bun), both $11.99 so no additional cost for GF: both my kids got this with nothing added in other than cheese and the smooshed impossible patty. The saddest looking burgers BUT they ate it! The gluten-free bun is a bit... flattened, but my kid ate half of it there and finished it on the car ride out of Austin. Then asked for another one. In fact, he's still asking for another one and it's been almost 2 weeks. My other kid (picky, no allergies) likes it as well, but didn't finish and not as much as her brother. But she definitely loved the fries. SMALL FRIES ($3.50): almost every order of burgers came with a side of fries. These are perfect, stayed delicious, and were perfectly seasoned. If you are gluten-sensitive or have a wheat allergy, do know they use a shared fryer for ALL their fried items. My kid with the food allergies couldn't eat them, just to be safe. COOKIES AND CREAM MILKSHAKE ($11.95): This is made with their soft serve and regular Oreo cookies. SO GOOD. My daughter and my vegan sister got one each. Not too sweet, hit the spot perfectly. I would like to suggest they offer a gluten-free version made with GF Oreos if they can figure out how to significantly eliminate cross contamination... or just use only GF Oreos. VANILLA SOFT SERVE ($3.99): fun fact - these are lentil protein based! Got this for my kid with the food allergies (he's allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, avocado, pineapple, kiwi) who prefers real dairy and he ate almost the entire cup! It's a pretty hefty serving. I had a taste and it's pretty good. Very close to the dairy version. We were thrilled with our visit. Everything tasted great! I loved how there isn't an additional cost for a gluten free bun (it's a little wonky shaped... irregularly flattened on top). My food allergy kid asked me to make him a burger because he misses the one he got here and he specifically requested for buns with a round top so it's apparently a sore spot with him. I also love how I could actually talk to someone and make well informed decisions on what we could order... and we ordered everything we could have (aside from desserts). I'm a bit sad Mission Burger is so far away, but I guess it just means we'll have to stop by Austin when we're in Texas again. Thank you for another amazing experience!

My BFF and I came here looking for Spin Burger and realized this location had moved in. Sad I…read moredidn't get a burger frisbee, but this was a great substitute. FREE Chocolate Chip Cookie - The cookies are definitely great--no crazy standout, but they had a distinct oat flavor. I can imagine sea salt would enhance the flavor even more. I love chocolate chip, though... and FREE is the best seasoning. Mushroom Truffle - We agreed to split these burgers 50/50, and bro zoned out while eating; I got like 1/4 of it. Hopefully that emphasizes how much he enjoyed this burger. The first thing I noticed was that the patty wasn't as thick. I do like their burgers and how they're medium-rare, but this one was much more packed with mushrooms, per the burger style. If it had the B&B patty, this would've been my favorite. Hold up--I did not know this was an Impossible patty. Not bad, but it does explain the difference in flavor. Still, it paired exceptionally well with the mushrooms. Black & Blue - Very deep flavors. I didn't like it as much as the Mushroom Truffle. In fact, I felt like this was way too saucy. The blue cheese didn't hold the show as much as the rest of the burger, and I'm a sucker for blue cheese. Like, inject Penicillin straight into my soul; obsessed. Anyways, it was just okay. My BFF and I agreed that these burgers are TENDER. Like, "didn't have to chew; it was a soft slush in my mouth" tender. Anyways, the sauce on both of these was on point--the first bite was a very obvious banger of flavors. Okay. I lied; these are ALL Impossible patties. Instantly changed the game because these were very well executed. On the way out, one of the workers (perhaps the owner) asked for our feedback. Apparently, many of these burgers are new menu items, and we got to hear a bit of their backstory (and got another FREE cookie). Some of the loveliest people I've met. I really love what they're doing here, and I'm glad they moved just 15 minutes away from our location. Wishing them the best!

This burger spot is essentially just a food truck, but the food is solid, and the service is great…read more The food truck itself is nice and clean, and there's a big signage out front. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. Combos also come with a drink, but it's not a fountain drink it's in cans which they also bag for you Cheers!!

When I chose to eat here, I checked the reviews and there were way more positive reviews than…read morenegative, so I thought the odds were in my favor. The few negative reviews mentioned bland burgers, but the positive ones say these are the best burgers in town. I thought I couldn't be unlucky enough to be in the minority and receive bland burgers, but, boy, was I wrong! NO SEASONING IN THE PATTIES!! Not even salt? If they had just seasoned the patties like they seasoned their fries, my experience would be completely different. An easy 5 stars. But nope. A solid 2, only because of everything other than the patties. We came at around 8pm on a Saturday night and were the only customers, so maybe that should've been a sign. Also the lot felt kinda sketchy in the dark. Idk if I would have wanted to be there alone at night. Food was also ready in 10 minutes, like the guy told us. FRIES: Thick cut, well-seasoned, good. Looked like a steak seasoning on the fries. I liked it, but since they were thick, the center of the fries were bland, unfortunately. Maybe it would've been less noticeable if we ate them right away. Large serving though. My bf and I only got one combo and couldn't finish the fries with each of our burgers. The burgers are big, at 4 inches wide. THOUSAND ISLAND BURGER: I liked it at first because of the thousand island, but for the bites that didn't have it, I noticed that the patty didn't taste seasoned...like at all. I was shocked at how bland it was without the dressing. MUSHROOM BURGER: The mushrooms had no flavor, probably weren't seasoned at all. The burger, overall, was also very bland. Unseasoned patty here too. The ingredients felt fresh, but it was missing the flavor we were expecting. Really disappointing. They gave ketchup packets in the bag, but we didn't remember they were in there before finishing our burgers. It probably would've really helped, but the burgers shouldn't have needed it to be good.
