One of the team members, Elise or Eli's was locking up the park and doing his search of the park and stumbled upon my wallet. Not only did I not know realize I left my wallet, but Elise took it into his own hands and searched the Aventura data base and called my house to let me know that I left my wallet. If it wasn't for Elise and the staff, I would never have known and would have been frantically searching the next day. However, Elise called around an hour after I left and made sure I retrieved my wallet. So for that I thank you and the staff! The park has always been home for me and my dog. The staff is an extended family that is always helpful and amazing to our community. Aventura park is one of a kind.

Later James became the principal of the two-room Hallandale Community School from 1920 to 1927. In the 1950s, it became the B.F. James Elementary School, then later the B.F. James Adult Education Center. Today BF James Park sits on the site of the city's first black school. In 2014 the community gave feedback to the city that they wanted a pool. The pool and park is part of Hallandale Beach's Citywide Parks Master plan. It was the second city park to be completed in the first phase of the plan. BF James Park received a five million dollar complex that includes a beach style swimming pool with exercise lanes. Other park amenities added included exercise stations, a covered playground, and two new basketball courts. The building of this park fulfilled a 40 year old promise the city made to this community to provide a pool after the old Dixie pool fell into a state of disrepair. It is nice to see that the city of Hallandale Beach honored their commitment to this neighborhood with this beautiful park.

Wow my body needed this class. I had been away from Pilates…read morefor 7 weeks. My shoulders, my neck my hips felt tight. This 6 person class on Tuesday and the class today was a definite winner. Marianna is such a skilled teacher. Her verbal cues, all detailed, encouraging the correct posture, ensuring the class fully understands what part of the body each move will focus on. She dissects each motion so one is aware of how the move should be performed, where one will feel the movement from and the benefit of each movement. It really is a lesson in my own ability. Marianne takes time to review each students position, to make sure it is correct, whilst also ensuring each student is working within their personal bodily parameters, our ability and if she feels you can give more to the exercise , she encourages you to do so - no pressure at all. Marianne is diligent with her teaching to ensure each students posture, position, reach and techniques are correct. She wants you to get the best outcome for you and equips you with the knowledge to reach your Minds goal/ aim. As I progress in each class, I feel such joy when I reflect on where I started with Blaze Pilates and notice the difference I now see and feel in my body. At the end of each class, I felt taller, leaner, stronger, actually mentally sharp. So you see after being away for seven weeks... wow. My body truly needed to get back on board.
