If you are looking for a storage rental PLEASE go anywhere else. I have never dealt with management or corporate service this bad. Wish I could rate lower, just absolutely horrendous all around. This is the first negative review I have ever left on ANYTHING but this is too horrible not to warn.

They just tell you "well you can leave or be quiet". Then they'll sell your unit and get rid of your personal stuff with no final call back. The security here is a little stronger, with a full black metal gate that locks the entire compound from 10pm - 5am daily. This is separate from the keypad entry gate nested within. One note is that you'll need your own lock here (which is my preference anyway), but don't worry, you can buy one on-site. They also offer discounts to military and teachers, so make sure to inquire about that. The only downside is that my unit has some leaks and they are willing to fix them, but we have to identify where they are coming from... which is fair, but it's also going to take some time to figure out. They do offer pallets for free, so I feel like that helps with any unforeseen issues. The roads are paved to slant away from the units, so I feel like flooding shouldn't be an issue here. I've also been using more plastic bins and I've placed tarps over my cardboard boxes. I've been here for a few months now and am happy I switched to All Safe!

And my rate has only been increased once (ooops, maybe I shouldn't have said that, LOL). The gates have been replaced, they've installed a CCTV security system and replaced the staff with friendly and pleasant people. The facility is is well maintained and snow is removed promptly. My 1st visit was really good as Maria showed me around and explained how the units worked. Upon hearing that I would need my storage unit for a couple more weeks Maria extended my reservation to keep my rate and that really helped. On move in day I was given a phone call the day before, to check to make sure what time I was going to arrive. I was able to reschedule my time when I realised that the time slot didn't work any longer. The office staff were very flexible with helping me out. I was able to complete the whole moving process in less than 30 minutes. Overall I am happy with my unit I end up getting a 10 by 7 and a 1/2. I do like the ease of unloading my S UV into their docking station. I appreciate the climate control as it can get really hot during the summer and I was worried about my electronics. This was the true reason I picked this location even though about $50 more per month than the location about 2 miles away. All in all super excited about the fringe benefits of this location, To include utilization of a moving truck. The nice thing is that they allow you to use the moving truck up to 2 weeks from your moving date. This alone is going to save me a $150.

They signed me at a reasonable monthly "special" rate of 50.00 and each year raised the rent so significantly that after four years I was being charged $110.00 per month! Yikes! I was on automatic payments through my bank so it wasn't like they had any problems getting my rent on the first of the month. I did not think it was legal to do this. After four years I said enough and moved out. Also they did not clean the exterior around your unit so I was cleaning leaves and tree branches away from my garage door and there were LOTS of spiders. High rates for outside unit, not temperature controlled, full of bugs. Yuk.

I rented an outside storage lot for my cargo trailer in the Fall of 2021. They assigned a space in…read morea gravel lot backing to a ravine. I asked for a pull through spot and they said they had none. Service was good, until I tried to put my equipment back in the last week of January 2022. I had asked again if any pull through spots were available and advised that I would probably move if not. They said none were open. I drove into an ICE covered lot and it was impossible to back the trailer into my assigned spot. The conditions of the lot were so dangerous and they had rented all of the spaces so that it wasn't even possible to drive around the end of the row to get out. I spent 20 minutes backing the unit up risking damaging my trailer and the other tenants parked there and finally got the HELL out of there. I called them up and said that I was cancelling due to the abysmal condition that they had allowed. This was Feb 1, 2022. On the next day they auto charged my credit card, which charge I disputed. After almost two months my credit card company said I had won the dispute, to find a letter from a collection agency two days later. No warning from this poorly managed property and I get this. I will pay it and since I am leaving the state I won't take them to small claims court, but if I had the time I would gladly do so since they don't deserve this money. The place I moved the trailer to pending my move is on Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills and they have a paved lot for ALL of their storage. There was a 4" snow early March and the lot was clear to the pavement a day later. The best part? They are less money. Less money, better managed? Your choice is clear. Avoid this poorly managed place on Rte 31 in Carpentersville. BTW, it's risky business pulling out or into their driveway off that very busy Route 31.

It wasn't the right thing. He politely told me I'd have to go back online and try again. I was determined not to have to make another trip and sat in my car struggling with the website, Changed my password 3 times--no fun. Finally, a bit harried, I went back into the store with my open box. "Thome" who had helped me before, kindly took the box, taped it up for me and printed the label for me as well! He did all of this when some places employees would be more concerned about getting out on time than giving great service. Thanks so much Thome!! You're a cool guy and you're going places!!
