Great experience finding the right carpet with the help of Bill Higgins. Very knowledgeable and reasonable pricing options.

Perfect business name to fit an extraordinary business!…read more My husband and I have been getting all of our floorings completed by this company for the past 20+ years and there's no way we would ever stop! This company is very very professional, talented, time conscious, and customer service oriented! The quality of the carpets & flooring that they advertise and use in their showroom and residences/ businesses are of amazing quality! The knowledge base of the owner (E Rome) as well as his employees is unbelievable! We've had carpet and hard wood flooring in our house from this company for over 20+ years as I previously stated, and the workmanship and quality stands the test of time! Keep up the fantastic work A Plus as you are truly a flooring genius and the best to ever do it !!

P.S. In June 2023 I hired D B Genesis to reinstall the hardwood floors and some of the steps. They…read moredid a neat and professional job. There were no gaps between the boards evident. Subsequently I filed a claim with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission against its Guaranty Fund. The fund was set up to compensate homeowners who hire licensed contractors who either fail to complete a job or do it in an "unworkmanlike" manner. After a very long drawn out process, the MHIC opined that the multitude of gaps "were not significant enough to render the installation unworkmanlike." Prefinished hardwood flooring is an interlocking tongue-and-groove system and it is certainly not good workmanship to install the boards with clearly visible separations. This contractor left more than 50 open joints between the boards, significant gaps between boards and stair rails and installed steps with stair noses that were not level and that creaked shortly after installation. This was certainly an unworkmanlike installation. (I guess that tells you what a license from the MHIC is worth.) What matters, however, is not my opinion or the MHIC's but whether you would be pleased if this contractor did such fine work in your home. This contractor has cost me time, money and a lot of aggravation with his threats of legal action, lies and refusal to accept responsibility. He continues to lie about conditions in my home alleging that I do not operate my HVAC leading to wildly fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels, causing the multitude of gaps. Don't be fooled. He is just lying to shift blame for the shoddy work of his subcontractor to me, the homeowner. BTW he's also lying about offering to replace the flooring at cost. P.P.S. As I have stated before the "official unbiased inspection report" Eric is referring to falsely stated there were no separations visible in the floor either from a stand up position or under 10x magnification and thus, concludes there were no installation problems. So I guess those are all imaginary gaps Eric's subcontractor filled in with wood putty. The MHIC a scam?? I would not put it that way but certainly they did not have much sympathy for me as a homeowner harmed by a licensed contractor. They seemed much more concerned about protecting the Guaranty fund from claims, even legitimate ones. Sometimes the system does not deliver justice. In any case, a license from the MHIC is clearly not a guarantee against shoddy workmanship.

Went here on a recommendation from my folks. My wife and I were looking for carpet for our house…read more We didn't want to get anything outrageous, just something for the next 10 years or so. We worked with the same salesman, Bill, as my folks did and he was very good. He is very knowledgeable about his products and very willing to work with you to fit you with a good product at a good price. What I liked best was the price they gave you was the price you sign for. I got 4 other estimates from a mix of box stores and local stores and the price each provided kept fluctuating. My install was last Friday and besides one hitch, which was remedied quickly, I am very happy. The carpet looks great. The installers were clean, efficient and courteous. I already recommended Bill to a co-worker and he has since bought carpet from them.

Happy with the product - beautiful carpet in our basement, but had a few issues with the salesman,…read moreJonathan especially. We had this all done at a really busy time for us (in hindsight, this was the mistake on our part), as we all know that these days, if you want good-quality work with installs/contractors, you have to micromanage and helicopter it, it seems. We took his word for it on a couple of things and shouldn't have. When he came to measure, I pointed to a spot where there is a dip in our basement, he said they would repair it upon installation. I was at work when the carpet was installed, and when I realized a couple of weeks later that the dip was still there, he tried to gaslight me - saying they would never agree to repair something like that, as it is not something they do since it would be concrete work, to repair a basement foundation issue. He said someone would come check it out, but they never did. It's been 2-3 months now. I had also asked him, while he was at our house, how much would need to be moved/put away. He said, "you don't have to worry about anything but just the little things and anything breakable". My husband questioned this the night before installation, as he noticed the contract stated that most things needed to be cleared, but I told him not to worry about it because Jonathan said we didn't need to. The crew tried to charge us extra fees for having to move stuff or said they would come back another day after we took care of it, but they then wanted to charge us $200-300 for not getting to do the job that day. We fought back on this, so we ultimately did not pay this fee. Jonathan was very condescending throughout this whole experience, playing dumb and somehow forgetting what he said to me. Don't trust what he says and just read the fine print.

We figured out what carpet we wanted, and then started shopping around for the lowest price. We tried Costco's contractor. We tried Empire. We tried Luna. We tried Lowe's. We tried Home Depot. And then we tried 111Carpets. BINGO!!! Here are the benefits: *They are primarily a shop-at-home service, but they do have a showroom open by appointment. Which means, you can shop however YOU prefer. (We opted for the in-home, similar to Empire or Luna.) *There is absolutely NO pressure to sign a contract on the spot (unlike with Empire or Luna). * They listen to the customer. The gentleman who came to our home was incredibly knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted, and didn't try to persuade us that we wanted anything other than what we told him we wanted. *NO SUBCONTRACTORS. *No crazy waits while your carpet gets ordered like with Lowes or Home Depot, or many of the other smaller shops. *Added benefit of having a local company to call in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong. Having local service is SO important. 111Carpet also has an A+ from the BBB. *They were able to beat the lowest price we had gotten. If I EVER need flooring ever again, regardless of how big or small, I will only make one phone call. To 111Carpets.

Khan from 111 Carpets did call back, said he would be glad to accommodate me (it saves hauling it to the dump), told me where to pick it up (jobsite), and helped me load it into my car. The carpet is not fancy but it met my needs, and the price couldn't be better: free! Of course, my house interior needs better carpet than that and when I need it I will call Khan again. He treated me well.
