The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the various products. It can get hectic during the special allocation drops because of the way they handle things. People start lining up very early on drop day, so either get there early or be prepared to wait in a long line. That goes for everyone, it doesn't matter if you're the town drunk just looking to pick up a pint of your favorite rot gut booze, the line starts way back there... too harsh? You wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen on drop day.

The store is located off Battlefield Blvd. you must enter Sams Club and it's a side small strip. It's easy to overlook. Customers will enjoy plenty of parking. The lot was debris free as the walk up on my visits. I found a few harder to find bottles here and was pleased. The store is clean and organized. The staff meh. Checkouts were professional just not as friendly as I would hope for. I would return to this location for the right products, but since it's not close to my house I would not be a regular.

Located in the Great Neck Village Shopping Center off Great Neck Road and Mill Dam. Customers will find plenty of parking and the lot was debris free. The walk was also tidy as the staff opened the door for me. This has been a new COVID policy to enforce mask use, but also nice to be greeted. The shop is on the smaller side, but packs a lot of inventory in too! The bourbon section which is where I always head straight to was decent, not overwhelming. I saw a few staples, but only one semi hard to find, Bookers which they had to my surprise seven bottles in their signature wood case. The layout is very straightforward and the staff has done a great job keeping the stock organized and business clean. I checked out with a Michters SB for $41. This bourbon is typically a great seller and readily available. Since Virginia controls their prices it's as close as a customer can often get to suggested retail. The staff was helpful and friendly. He offered a suggestion on a next purchase. This store will not be in my regular rotation. If they offer a more rare selection on a Monday shipment I may call to confirm product and pick up. Often rare items cannot be held. Check them out if in the area.

Wine is made on site in the distillery and she has been in business for 8 years. We visited on a Saturday and there was a couple of vendors on site selling merchandise. 5 bucks for 6 samples is definitely reasonable. We indulged in the fruit infused wines, draft wines and slushies. I must say the draft wines were delicious and I wished those were bottled so I could have brought them home. All in all great places and would definitely stop in again.

We asked where the grapes came from and she explained that some came from Chile, some from California (I believe) and other places, and that she blends them here. The price of the flights was a mere $5 for six communion cup sized samples -- you choose 6 of I guess 12 - 15. Mulled wine is a welcome option on a winter day. The disappointing: While there is a good assortment of wines, and many were on the good side of okay, none stood out and said BUY A BOTTLE OF ME. The fruity sweet wines were VERY sweet, not really good for dessert wine or sipping. (Sorry.) But again, the reds especially were drinkable and pleasant. Their customer service and product knowledge are amazing. I had no idea what the difference was between a barrel whiskey vs. A regular one. My brother wanted a certain type, and I just thought it was a common offering. I learned a lot about how whiskey was aged and what the difference was between the brands on the top and middle shelves other than the prices. HeeHee! The parking lot is huge, the area is well lit, the landscaping is full of flowers right now. You will enjoy the vast amount of variety at the location. They are down the street from where we live just around the corner from Deep Creek Post office behind Uhaul!!!! Anyway, they have a small tasting room and have wonderful cocktails. We got to sit and chat with Royal, who is one of the owners. He was happy to show us his operation and share his journey to becoming an award winning small batch distiller. Two hour parking is off street or nearby garage that's FREE! The area is nicely kept with sidewalks power washed weekly and windows washed weekly. I did spot debris outside their door however on my most recent visit. On November 10th the state of Virginia had a special bourbon release across the state. Formerly lottery bottles were available in all stores across the Old Dominion. I lined up early on a beautiful Fall day with others that became friends after six hours. The manager peeked out at around 8 AM and gave numbers out. She was terrific. I was #4 for Wellers Full Proof. It's retail $50, on the secondary market hundreds. At noon when the store opened everything was orderly and checkout was smooth. The cashier was friendly and wore a mask. The store is a smaller floor plan, but packs a punch on inventory, especially bourbon. It was a fun day learning more about bourbon and how to locate rare bottles from new friends that were much more knowledgeable than I. The Weller was incredible by the way.
