I had never heard of the Phoenix Glass Center before, but thought it would be fun to make a stained glass sun catcher. Make sure you have your GPS activated because it's a bit tricky to find their location. It's hidden in an industrial area right next to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport runway. We made sure to get to class early, as they had requested in their email. They have a shop with beautiful glass items for sale. They provide bottled water for students as well. Our class was in a second newer building just across the parking lot. Our instructor was Sarah. She was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and extremely patient with novice glass artists like myself. The class was set for three hours but it was a long process with many steps, so the class ran over. I didn't mind. I was happy not to be rushed through the process. All in all, it was a really fun evening! They are offering an upcoming stained glass class where you can make a Mother's Day frame. I will definitely return in the future to try another one of their classes.

You will get a season pass with this admission so that you can visit again and again. This is a fantastic show of all types of artwork. We try to go on the weekends when most of the artists are present. Oh will see many of the artists busy working on a project. They are all happy to stop and talk with people. The show is in an enormous tent and it can get breezy inside. Don't miss the outdoor sculpture garden too. If you get hungry there is a cafe with table and chairs. Restrooms are available on site. Limited seating throughout the show so plan accordingly. Large free parking lot for visitors.

There are two green rooms we use - both have the space to accommodate approximately 40 faculty members who make up the stage party. I sing the national anthem for the graduation ceremony and let me simply say how amazing their sound system is. There used to be no sound delay. The sound is crisp. And I think the sound system makes me sound even better than I really am!! lol The lobby area is spacious and great for after-ceremony gatherings. It truly is a great place! I also have contemplated taking some of the arts classes they offer. I haven't found time in my busy schedule but I do know they offer a variety if classes. I look forward to when I can take a class!!

I was not happy with the bathroom stall I used. It seems when so many other people slam their doors my door became unlocked and opened on me while using the restroom. The bathroom was very clean!! The other annoying part was there was only one person working the concession stand. So we couldn't get anything. Cause our intermission ended by the time we got to the front of the line.

Last Friday night, my daughter and I painted a desert scene and the teacher was great. The only thing I encourage them to do is provide the same canvas size to the audience as the original work was done on otherwise things need to be squeezed in or left off altogether. I asked for one and they happily provided it.
