I visited the clinic for the first time in July. I was attended to by the dental assistant Neicha…read morewho was lovely and attentive. However, Doctor K who later came to check on my teeth was very obviously uninterested in her patient, and condescending. She said since I haven't had cleaning in a dental clinic in more than a year (I did not have dental insurance but took very good care of my teeth), have weak gum and a cavity I should schedule to have 2 cleanings within 2 weeks and for filling. Upon hearing that I have a cavity, I asked where the cavity was to which she said mumbled something I couldn't hear. I wanted to ask for more information on exactly which tooth it was on, how serious it is but when I sat up and turn around, she was already GONE! While checking my teeth, she also made some unpleasant comment about my gum, alluding that it was because I didn't get my annual cleaning. Later, when speaking to the Patient Care Coordinator Chrissy about scheduling and prices, she was very demeaning. I stated a few concerns about my teeth in the form and so she went over the available procedures to address them. She recommended that I should get the occlusal guard. When I found out that it cost $700+, I expressed that since it is too expensive I will not get it. She started looking and speaking to me like she is very unimpressed and displeased with me. When I asked if there is any other procedure available for teeth-whitening besides the one she showed me, she replied that, "we only offer high quality procedure here. well, you can go for those cheap products that they have in the market but they are not effective ......" after which point I was so shocked to listen to what she said. I merely wanted to know if there were other options/ procedures than the one she mentioned. Throughout our interaction she made me feel like I was an irresponsible person who doesn't care about my teeth and she was being "nice" by pushing me to do teeth whitening, filling, and cleaning. I later found out that I never needed 2 cleanings in 2 weeks. However, that is not the worst yet. I went there because I thought the dental clinic was in-network in my dental plan, but not anymore. They kept the information from me when I asked if they accepted my dental plan. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for the services I had when I thought it was fully covered by my dental insurance. Before leaving, Chrissy even had the gut to give me their business cards and ask me to recommend their clinic to my friends and family. NO WAY!

I have been going to this practice for the past two years and every time that I go the service…read morekeeps getting better and better. It had been six years since I had gone to get a dental cleaning to start it off. So far I have received my every six month cleaning since then , professional whitening job, some cosmetic work on my front teeth where I had a gap. They also took me an on short notice and did a very thorough cleaning Just in time for my wedding. And I received many compliments about how white my teeth were, which I had never received in my life. And all the visits I have been very pleased with. The last time I went in they put ice packs on my eyes and paraffin wax On my hands with relaxing music while I got my teeth cleaned. Staff is always friendly and kind.for the first time in my life, I'm not afraid to go to the dentist and look forward to the cleaning every six months.

I had a terrible experience…read more The woman who was doing the X-Ray was very rude and I think the dentist just wants to subject you to a lot of procedures to make you pay more. I'm not white, I think I was also treated poorly because of that. Racism is everywhere. I tried to stop her and explain that I was feeling very uncomfortable, she kept on saying she knows her job. I had to pull the x-ray out of my mouth because I thought I was going to throw up. I asked her how many shots she needs to take, she sort of avoided my question and said there are still so many. I rephrased my question, and said I'm asking about the exact number because I'm feeling very uncomfortable, and I may not want to continue this procedure. Then she said she still needs to take 22 (which is A LOT. I'm still trying to understand what the standard procedure is). Then I told her that I don't want to continue. I thanked her and said she was doing great, and that Im leaving because I was feeling nauseous. Her reaction was very rude ("You cant just leave! You need to see the dentist!"). The dentist came and said he isn't going to change the standard procedure for me. "What are you going to do if you got pain again?" he asked, and I felt like he was trying to convince me to get the treatment, making it sound like it was my only option. Go to a dentist who actually cares about your comfort and health, and who isn't treating people poorly because of their skin color or accent.

This place was fast considerate At first we were quoted over…read more$6900 that included complete removal of all teeth and the best dentures. Since we had insurance but wasn't clear on the dental insurance we decided we'd pay it all at one time but wanted to go with the most inexpensive dentures that dropped the price to $39xx.xx We paid it the day of her appointment in full. After the process in Oct 2020 and she was recovering nicely and only needed one adjustment. 2 months later her Blue Cross Blue Shield paid their $16xx so Aspen sent us a refund in Jan 2021 as the overpayment But 2 months later in feb we got a bill for another set of upper and lower dentures at $956 each and now we keep getting overdue notices that we pay half of each total of $956. but she neither ordered them nor requested them. We tried talking to the office manager upon receipt of the first bill and she immediately seem seen what we were taking about and said she would take care of it. Well guess what we got today? Yes sir, another bill for $956 for ultimate dentures. Buyer beware. Guess we are taking this to court soon.

I came to this location due to having 7/10 tooth pain disrupting my sleep. Aspen had the shortest…read morewait time - I soon found out why. The dentist office was open concept with no doors. They saw me right away and I had my X-rays done by the only nice person I met in the building. I then saw the dental hygienist. It seemed like the entire point of her "exam" was to shame and scare me into spending an absurd amount of money on their dental plan. When I told her it had been a while since my last cleaning, she said "I can tell." She showed me a photo of my gums and said "Do these look like healthy gums to you?" The dentist dismissed my pain and blamed it on a medication I've been taking for months. After you have your visit, they have you check out with a sales person disguised as an associate who tries to pressure you into signing up for their high interest credit plan. They said my treatment plan would cost approximately $7,000 with insurance. When I stated I couldn't afford that, she said she would check with the dentist to see what was "absolutely necessary." It can back to around $4000. I left. I went to Baystate Dental the next day and paid $80 for a procedure that alleviated my pain. I'll have another procedure for the same cost in six months and my issue should be resolved - a far cry from $7000. I'm a medical professional myself and I would never make a patient feel this way. I know that in these times many people have to choose between daily living costs and medical care. Maybe I would have fallen for their scheme if they treated me with any type of respect and understanding, as I was in so much pain. This practice is clearly exploiting vulnerable people with dental emergencies and using high pressure sales tactics to get people to spend money they don't have. I'd recommend going anywhere else.
