Dr. Perry is one of the most compassionate doctors in this field. She will explain everything to you and walk you through every step. I can't promise if you don't like needles that you will love this office. It's an unfortunate circumstance of the procedure. The staff is all very balanced and coordinated. I caught myself saying wow several times when the doctor and her assistant Sarah were going constantly back-and-forth with the different tools needed and very little discussion was necessary. In the end, it didn't look so good for my tooth, and she gave me some very real options to discuss with my dentist after she sends some great 3-D imaging to him with a detailed letter. She explained that we could do the procedure and it might last a year, or I might choose to have an extraction. She values her work, and she would expect that any work she does would last him a long time if it is to be done properly. My last procedure done in 2001 has given me no problems at all. I always have the option of going back and finishing my procedure if I choose, and I would not have to pay the full fee. This is an example of an A+ office.

She asked questions and gave me an idea of what it entailed. I quickly got an appointment. I filled in paperwork online so all was set. I was met by an associate who took me into the room, had a great sense of humor, showed me x-rays, and explained the problems and answered lots of questions, making me feel very confident and fearless. Dr Blount came in and asked me more questions, and said that the original conclusion of my primary dentist was correct and explained why. The procedure was quick and painless, except for the slight Novacaine jabs at the start. The associate kept me relaxed, and the surgeon worked quickly and thoroughly. There were no problems with the recovery and it was just as they said it would be. All of their explanations and professionalism took away any fear I had. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. An amazing experience and a great place for those fearful of dental work to go

Dr Carver is my daughter's dentist & she called explaining my emergency to the doctor. She had me come in right away & she made the repair (the right way, I haven't had a problem with it since). I was impressed by her chairside manner & how quickly she made the repair. We moved into the area shortly after that (from fla, yeah I know but we moved to be near our grandkids after retiring). Dr Carver has been my dentist since we moved up & I can't say enough about her manner & how professional her staff is. I haven't always taken the best care of my teeth (shame on me) & my fear of dentists (wouldn't go unless I absolutely had to) left my mouth in poor health. She has never been judgmental & my mouth is the best it's been since my early teens.

My dentist referred me to WE to get a 3D x-ray to determine if root canal was feasible (visible…read morecracks above gum; through-the-cheek x-ray looked OK, but 3D shows more). WE refused to do the 3D x-ray. When pressed, she said she could do the 3D x-ray after doing a root canal - if I wanted it. [Why do the test to see if root canal is feasible AFTER the root canal?] Instead, she duplicated the through-the-cheek x-ray that the dentist had done a few days earlier. [Supposedly, ADA recommendations on lead shielding have been relaxed because, among other things, with digital x-rays, there's no need for duplicates. WE doesn't use lead shields AND does unnecessary x-rays.] Then, WE did the same exam that the dentist had done - though following an inflexible procedure: Positioned my arm on my leg and said to raise it if I felt pain. Tapped on a different tooth. I looked at her and said, "Of course it doesn't hurt; you're tapping on the wrong tooth." She started over again, placing my arm on my leg... I glared at her as she tapped on the wrong tooth again. Eventually, she tapped on the tooth that I had gone to her for, and I raised my hand. Sprayed something like liquid nitrogen on the tooth to determine temperature sensitivity. Then declared "The roots are dead; I'll do a root canal.". [Never checked the roots themselves.] Charged $355 to do what the dentist had already done (for less money).... I found another endodondist who did the 3D x-ray. I suspect my dentist referred me because WE is owned by the same chain that bought my dentist's practice. I'll start looking for another dentist, now. The stupidity continues. I got a phone call from them about the above review. They claimed that they were trying to save me money by not doing the 3D x-ray. Then, why did she offer to do it AFTER the root canal? Then, the 3D x-ray would have been a complete waste. She also said that the through-the-cheek x-ray wasn't good enough. [Why not mention that?] I brought up the fact that, in the waiting area, I was notified that they were running late 35 minutes after my appointment time. I tried to explain that the time to tell a patient that you're running late is at or before the time at which they are late. She tried to justify giving notification after it's become obvious. They just don't get it. I just hung up.

The office staff and the present senior dentist leave much to be desired . Today the only concern was payment . I received a quote that was 150 dollars more than the quote they had me sign two months ago. They TEXTED me to say I would owe almost 500 dollars for a filling . The quote from 2 months ago was 150 dollars lower . This was not the first time money came before patient care . There have been 2 similar incidents but today was the last straw. I left the practice after 33 years and will be going to an Easthampton practice not focused on money grabbing and concerned about the patient first .
