This place was fast considerate At first we were quoted over $6900 that included complete removal of all teeth and the best dentures. Since we had insurance but wasn't clear on the dental insurance we decided we'd pay it all at one time but wanted to go with the most inexpensive dentures that dropped the price to $39xx.xx We paid it the day of her appointment in full. After the process in Oct 2020 and she was recovering nicely and only needed one adjustment. 2 months later her Blue Cross Blue Shield paid their $16xx so Aspen sent us a refund in Jan 2021 as the overpayment But 2 months later in feb we got a bill for another set of upper and lower dentures at $956 each and now we keep getting overdue notices that we pay half of each total of $956. but she neither ordered them nor requested them. We tried talking to the office manager upon receipt of the first bill and she immediately seem seen what we were taking about and said she would take care of it. Well guess what we got today? Yes sir, another bill for $956 for ultimate dentures. Buyer beware. Guess we are taking this to court soon. read more

I came to this location due to having 7/10 tooth pain disrupting my sleep. Aspen had the shortest wait time - I soon found out why. The dentist office was open concept with no doors. They saw me right away and I had my X-rays done by the only nice person I met in the building. I then saw the dental hygienist. It seemed like the entire point of her "exam" was to shame and scare me into spending an absurd amount of money on their dental plan. When I told her it had been a while since my last cleaning, she said "I can tell." She showed me a photo of my gums and said "Do these look like healthy gums to you?" The dentist dismissed my pain and blamed it on a medication I've been taking for months. After you have your visit, they have you check out with a sales person disguised as an associate who tries to pressure you into signing up for their high interest credit plan. They said my treatment plan would cost approximately $7,000 with insurance. When I stated I couldn't afford that, she said she would check with the dentist to see what was "absolutely necessary." It can back to around $4000. I left. I went to Baystate Dental the next day and paid $80 for a procedure that alleviated my pain. I'll have another procedure for the same cost in six months and my issue should be resolved - a far cry from $7000. I'm a medical professional myself and I would never make a patient feel this way. I know that in these times many people have to choose between daily living costs and medical care. Maybe I would have fallen for their scheme if they treated me with any type of respect and understanding, as I was in so much pain. This practice is clearly exploiting vulnerable people with dental emergencies and using high pressure sales tactics to get people to spend money they don't have. They did an x-ray of my teeth which took about 30 minutes and tried to convince me to book a specialty cleaning that was going to cost $3,000. I decided to get a second opinion from a different office and didn't wait any time to be seen, got the x-rays done in less than 5 minutes, and was given a full cleaning. Aspen said it couldn't be fixed and I needed a new one. I went to a dental lab. Fixed on the spo, with only an hour wait for $100. Dental Lab said wrong adhesive was used by Aspen. Came in with severe pain 9/10 The dentist agreed that the tooth needed to be pulled. Initially he said that he didn't have the time to do it that day. But later when I began scheduling he said it had to be done by a oral surgeon. The receptionist said that they couldn't see me sooner than 3 weeks out, I explained again that I was in severe pain and in no way could go 3 weeks like this. They did not offer to make an outside referral, provide pain medication or have any solution except that I should suffer in agony for 3 weeks. I signed up for a cleaning here as it's listed as being covered under my insurance. However, I have never had a bad dental experience until I came here. Lots of new experiences. I didn't know I signed up for a six flags experience until water was running down my face and neck getting soaked up by my shirt from the water took. I've also never experienced pain during a cleaning until this visit. (Maybe don't try to pull out my permanent wire retainer with cleaning tools? Just a thought, but I'm not a dentist.) Truly terrible. I had a Maryland bridge fall out over the weekend and needed it reglued. After 45 minutes getting x-rays, the doctor decided he "wasn't comfortable regluing it" and insisting I needed to convert to a standard bridge. I was told a procedure would cost $600, after the procedure was finished the fee jumped to $750. They will force you to get X-rays every year, for which you must pay, if you cannot afford regular cleanings. They charge extra for a "deep cleaning" which just means they use a thicker floss. Just go someplace else. Most painful diagnostic, performed by young dentist, I have ever experienced. She recommended a root canal and, for another tooth, an extraction and implant. The Endodontist was not able to remove one of the molar roots, so suggested that I find a more skillful practitioner, which I did. I appreciated the honesty, but i had to pay out of pocket because the insurance company refused to pay twice for the same procedure on the same tooth. Aspen also billed the insurance company for the implant they did not perform. The company declined to pay because an implant at that location would later fail. Nevertheless, the phantom implant remained on my dental record, so that when I tried to get a denture from a non-Aspen dentist, insurance refused to pay because they believed Aspen had performed the implant. Aspen said it would take six weeks to resolve the matter but the insurance told me it should take no more than a few minutes. Just go someplace else. Really! read more

They failed to let me know they had to cancel my appointment 2xs I drove all the way from Greenfield all to find out they canceled! Oh dentures in days like they advertise is a lie! Over 6 months! Plus when I got my top dentures they upped the price of the quote $300 more! They did the same thing for the bottom ones the day of my scheduled teeth removal upped it $300 more thank god we had it! Hadley Ma office is the biggest money grab ever! My teeth are worst after Aspen dental worked on them. I went to Aspen dental because my primary care physician recommended I have a oral surgeon look at a tooth. Aspen dental recommended I have the tooth extracted and an implant put in it's place I agreed. They also said I needed a crown on another tooth I agreed. After the work they performed on the left side of my mouth I have an extracted tooth and the surgeon broken the tooth next to the extracted tooth. After the work they performed on the right side of my mouth I have a temporary crown (they lost the permanent crown) with an implant in my jaw without an artificial tooth. I have no way to chew food on the left side of my mouth because the oral surgeon broke the tooth next to the extracted tooth. He was unable to place an implant there because he said it was infected. The surgeon asked I if I wanted the implant in another place. My mistake, I said yes to the bottom right spot in my mouth The funny thing is I went to the office a week before the extraction complaining about pain and swelling. The dentist who looked at the tooth said there was no infection. My next procedure was a crown next to the implant fixture just performed. The team that performed the temporary crown were very professional and courteous, the only good experience I had at the Hadley office. On the way to my appointment for the permanent crown I got a call from the Hadley office that the permanent crown wasn't shipped to their office. The woman who called said she would call me for an appointment when the crown was delivered. instead of a call I got a letter stating that my insurance won't pay for the crown if I don't call Aspen Hadley office for an appointment to finish the procedure. Aspen Hadley office wouldn't return my call, so I had to call the new patient number, which she picked up right away. She said she had to look at the schedule and she would call me with a date for my crown That was the third time since I started going to Aspen that she didn't call me back with an appointment. I called the Hadley office and had to leave a message. She never called me back. i received an auto voice mail from Aspen again stating that my insurance won't pay for the crown if don't make an appointment to finish the procedure. I called again and I was surprised when someone answered the phone right away. A different person answer the phone. I explained my situation. She looked for my crown and told me it wasn't at the Hadley office. I told her to call me with an appointment when they find the crown. Three days later I received a $900 check in the mail from Aspen dental with no explanation what the check was for, just a check in an envelop. I called and had to leave a message, surprise no return call. I don't know how the woman answering the phones and scheduling appointments can sleep at night. Sell sell sell. Their quota much be brutal. To be fair, I needed some extensive work, so any plan to fix my teeth would have to be done in stages. Needed an emergency filling and even after insurance, they maxed my plan and I ended up putting more that 1k on my dental financing plan, for one root canal/crown. Then they told me i next needed SRP to address some deep pockets. I've had SRP done a couple times before, and the cost was usually between 300-600$ for all my teeth. These guys wanted to upsell me on their Arestin product, and tried to get me to shell out nearly $5,000 for scaling and root planing. Don't go to chain dentists, and any time you get sent to a 'billing specialist' to discuss your plan, run far far away. Could not recommend less. read more

This is the worst dentist I've ever been to. First off, they try to upsell you on everything--they literally tried to sell me an $80 tube of toothpaste that I didn't need. Second, they're extremely rough. While the cleaning was fine, their X-rays hurt and took to long, and their deep gum cleaning was brutal. They didn't give any novocaine (which is pretty standard), and the process was really painful. My mouth bled for two days after, to the point that I either had to swallow blood (which caused an upset stomach) or not swallow and let giant blood clots form in my mouth. Totally gross. Don't let their excessive technology fool you. Aspen Dental is incompetent, overpriced, and unprofessional. Never again. read more

I was eating my breakfast on a Saturday morning when my crown(not even a year old) came off while I was eating. I called my Aspen office as was told that they were no longer available on Saturdays but would page the on call for me. The on call called back quickly to tell me there was nothing that could be done as the office was closed but I could call next Tuesday to try to make an appointment and if I noticed any pain, redness, swelling or foul taste in my mouth I should go to an urgent care center for an antibiotic. read more

I had an appointment at the Hadley, MA Aspen Dental office. My hygienist did a very good job. He several times answered my questions, one of which had to do with the root canal procedure I had done at last appointment with Aspen Dental, and the other of which had to do with surface staining. In each case, he assured me that the dentist would give a final address of these issues at the end of the appointment. I had multiple x-rays taken at my last appointment and did not want to have more taken at my cleaning, so I asked the hygienist to let the dentist know that. After being made to wait for exactly 30 minutes following the cleaning for the dentist to come in, I was then told by a staff member that the dentist refused to see me because I would not have x-rays done. I have gone to another dentist for 20 years who never refused me service because I requested no x-rays at every other cleaning. Can Dr. Dermesropian care so little about his clientele that he refuses to give them a visual check-up and follow up to the questions the hygienist tells them he will address? I am deeply disappointed that the dentist never even came to tell me personally that he was refusing my service. I have never even met the man. It was very unprofessional and, to be frank, a negligent handling of a patient. I was shocked to be treated in such a manner. Good morning folks . Stay away from Aspen Dental My experience there was horrific. In my opinion.... They were unprofessional. They were rough . They were incompetent. They were too damn expensive . Finally , they have this fella they sit you down with to discuss your treatment. Beware at this point this is the closer . Next thing you know your signed up for financing and left with your head spinning. Sorta like visiting a timeshare sales pitch . The tech bruised my mouth taking X-rays with the x-ray device assembled wrong. The tech and Dentist both spoke with a thick "Arabic" type accent that made them nearly impossible for me to understand. Aspen Dental failed to call in my prescription knowing I was headed out of state for vacation. When I called to fix this they were closed in the middle of the day . The entire office was close at in the middle of the day on Fridays! I think it was 1:30 pm or so. They are way over priced. Over $10,000 to fix a my teeth. They offered 18 months no interest financing which sounded great until their finance process damaged my credit.Their finance process resulted in a negative "maxed out" credit status on my credit report. This dropped my credit by several points . After having lost all confidence in this dental company I called the following Monday to cancel my appointments and close my finance account. A week later the negative impact on my credit report is still there . I had to call the finance company and finally got my account closed . Hopefully, I am done with Aspen Dental and the finance company they use. Let's see how long this experience affects my credit score . I had excellent credit until I walked into the office of Aspen Dental . I left with a "maxed out" credit rating due to their financing process which dinged my credit... this negative derogatory status will probably be on my credit for at least a month or longer . Who knows. I'm in the middle of a home mortgage refinance. I don't need this bullshit. Lesson learned . Don't finance anything ... period. I'm very unhappy with the way things went at Aspen Dental. Worst dental experience ever. Avoid this place at all cost. On my first visit with the dentist I had to wait 2 hours to be seen even with an appointment. On my second visit I'm told that I have to repeat the same x-ray that I had at the last visit. When I told them that I was worried about coverage, they assured me it would be covered. I told the assistant prepping for the x-ray, "twice", that I was concerned about coverage and don't want the procedure done if I have to pay. She assured me that this is fully covered and to not worry about any payment for the dental visit. At the end of the visit I'm demanded to pay $30 dollars. To my surprised they had done a procedure without my knowledge or consent and was force to pay up. A week later another $95 bill is sent to me. When I brought the issue to the attention of the office manger, she said it was my fault for not reading the fine print. Essentially saying that patients can not trust what is said in office by staff and can still be stuck with a bill for a visit that they say is free. The manager just brushed me off and said to speak with the regional manager. Very convenient for them the bill was to be paid with 2 days and the regional manger would call me back within 4 days. Was told I had three cavities, needed a special cleaning due to being at risk for gingivitis, as well as a special toothpaste, mouth wash, and a fluoride treatment. I felt something was off so decided to go back to my regular dentist. At my appointment I found out that I have no cavities, in fact my dentist said I great teeth, and there was no indication of gingivitis what so ever. UNORGANIZED....I went there on Feb 1st for a consultation, after waiting an hour it was clear they didnt have the xrays tranferred to their office from my general dentist as they promised. They told me they would get the xrays and send me an estimate in a couple of days. For weeks I called about getting an estimate on the work needed. Every time I called they had a different excuse and promised they would have it by the end of the day. (It was usually a woman named Autumn) When I finally got the estimate I called to make an appointment, I was told the soonest appointment they had was March 26th, so I took it. This was for $4000 worth of work. On March 14th I called them to ask about what costs my insurance would cover, Autumn told me they never recieved the pre-estimate from my insurance co. I then asked her if she could confirm my appointment on March 26th and she told me I didnt have one. She said they never would have made an appointment without the pre-estimate. When I called the insurance company they told me a request from Aspen (Autumn) was never put in. When I asked Autumn for the territory managers name and telephone number, she gave me the name of Sarah Erickson and an 800 number to call. When I called the number I was transferred to three different people who should have had her contact number. No One had it. So from Feb. 1 to March 14 (6 weeks) all I wanted was to get an appointment for dental work. I WANTED THEM TO DO THE WORK!! but because of their incompetence I am now going elsewhere to get the work done. read more

Made me believe I needed a crown and a cavity filled but my home dentist said I had no cavity. Gave me a $30 toothpaste that I didn't need and did not tell me the cost prior to checking out. Beware that they will try to make you get expensive work done to get as much money as they can and they are not very empthateic to not being able to afford extensive dental care. My doc is pretty friendly, but he seems overbooked all the time. I always make appointment days in advance, but waiting is the usual practice around here. You make an appointment at the top of an hour, they will probably get to you a quarter pass the hour. Even then the doc would be treating multiple patients simultaneously. I am the parental corporate appreciates their efficiency, but as a patient on the other end of such practice, it does sit well with me. It's not purchasing accessory, but being operated on. I had my wisdom teeth extracted here and they were fast and it went very well overall. I have one major complaint, though, which is that they didn't give me the option of not doing general anesthesia. I didn't want general anesthesia and when I was filling out the form and asked how to select the anesthesia type, the lady at the desk said they would go over the form with me and I could select it then. But they didn't, and I didn't get to see the form again. When he pulled out the IV needle I said I didn't want IV and he said "you don't want to be awake for this" and proceeded anyway. They were really nice so I do think they may have wanted to do what was least stressful for me, but I also know they got a higher reimbursement for the general and it really rubbed me the wrong way that at the front they said we'd discuss it and once I got to the chair they made the choice for me. read more

we have been a patient for almost 3 years. In Jan/Feb 2019, there were changes in the dental hygienist. When we went for our regular cleaning in Jan 2019, they said we did not make an appointment. Luckily we have the appointment card. Then they made appointment for Feb first week. Again same excuse we do not have an appointment. We showed the appointment card. Then finally we seen in March and said that due to management our schedule was messed up. On top of that they messed up our biannual exam, and we ended up getting our claim denied. We called to settle this bill, they said it our responsibility to check our insurance allowance. Autumn the office manager is rude, and a big one rude. Yes we agree it our responsibility, but we are visiting you for last 2 years, you can check our visits and space it out. Though the doctor and hygienist are good. We hate to move to another facility but the management super sucks. They are now pushing to use Arrestin ~ 95.oo per site. Finally in 2020 we decided to move to another facility. This was the worst dental office I have ever been in. I was having serious pain from an infected wisdom tooth and i went to Aspen Dental since my regular dentist couldn't fit me in for another week. Went to Aspen for walk in care. The lady at the desk seemed annoyed that I was there even though there was no patients in the waiting room. I explained my situation and she asked about my insurance, I handed over my card and she immediately called them to see if I was insured. She spoke quite loudly so if there was other people in the room they would be able to hear everything...not professional. She hangs up the phone and precedes to tell me my insurance expired a year ago. Which I know was not true. So I called my insurance company and they said no one had called asking about my plan and if I was insured. So either the lady at the desk pretended to call or called the wrong place. I went back up to the desk told her she called the wrong place and gave her the correct number. She calls again and then precedes to tell me it will take 5-6 business days for Aspen to "process my paperwork" so insurance will not cover it. She said don't worry I can pay out of pocket and still be seen today. I don't think so!! Felt like such a scam to me. Walked out the door and went to the hospital instead and got treated there. I went to aspen dental to get my teeth cleaned. I ended up sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours. When I was finally taken back to see the dentist, they took 17 X-rays of my mouth then sat me in a chair for another 20 minutes of waiting. The one and only dental hygienist employed here came in and checked my teeth but did not clean them. Following another 20 minute wait, the dentist speaking broken English, finally came to see me. She looked at the X-rays but didn't even have me open my mouth once. She claimed I had two cavities, would need a root canal, and a special two-part teeth cleaning-This was a complete shock to me because I brush my teeth regularly with an electric toothbrush.- I was then led into another room with their "closer" to 'schedule my next appointment'. He printed out an estimate and schedule for future appointments while he aggressively tried to have me sign and place a deposit for the $1000 worth of work the dentist recommended. I didn't buy it... The next week I went to the local Amherst Dental Group that treated me extremely well with low wait times, and a friendly atmosphere. Turns out all I needed was a $100 cleaning and Aspen Dental was trying to scam me for being a college student.
