My first experience with the office was roughly eight years ago. My son had an unusual situation that went beyond straight teeth and required procedures that I wasn't familiar with at all. When I had braces some 40 years ago, they just slapped them on, cranked them up and said see you next month. When I got them off, they said "bye" and gave me a retainer that I promptly lost. Well, Dr. DeMaio explained what was happening with my son and what he needed. He answered all our questions and made sure we understood everything. Now, my son was not the most responsible patient, but Dr. DeMaio was patient and firm with him, explaining that the sooner got on the program, the easier it was going to be. My wife and were very satisfied with the attention my son received, so much so that when my daughter got to the age when she needed braces, we brought her to Dr. D. (if you look at my user pic, that's her in her braces.) We're just about done with her stint. If my youngest daughter needs braces, we're going to Dr. DeMaio. A few words about the staff. They are professional, friendly, attentive and good-humored. They're always smiling. They got to know me, and my absent-mindedness. When I forgot one of my daughter's appointments, they started sending me text messages as an extra reminder, which was helpful. Now, the bill... we didn't have insurance, but Dr. DeMaio painlessly arranged things, we stuck to the program and it was never a problem. It made things very easy. We have never had a bad experience there and would refer my best friends' kids to them, and they live about an hour away.

First girl I spoke to stated that I was right and my bill was paid in full but still tried to get more money from me and when I refused, she told me that she would speak to her manage about the matter. I received a call back in about an hour and this person told me that she heard that I was screaming at the previous person I spoke to. I stated to her that I never raised my voice at all and that the girl I spoke to was not telling her the truth. I was then accused of lying. VERY POOR customer service from office staff. Most are good hygienists, straight out of college. 6 months ago when they took bitewings, the technician wanted to take 3 'retries' on one side because she "couldn't get a good one." I said no - You can keep the ones you already did, you don't get endless xrays into my face like that. Your second try was already too much. The actual dentist himself has an odd manner. On the rare chance he actually looks IN your mouth (twice in the last 10 years because he's always "busy") he banged the mirror around my teeth. When I complained out loud, he made a sarcastic comment. My last appt was in November and I had no cavities. In January I went to a different dentist just as an experiment. Two cavities, and one was "deep." That concerns me quite a bit, considering I've left my hygienist appts with zero cavities for the last 7 years. Two don't just appear in 2 months. I won't go back and I don't recommend this place.

He was in agony with a toothache. He always paid In full at the time of the appointment . This man never owed them money . He said upfront that he could pay half the money for the visit and would need to be billed for the rest. They flat out refused to take a look at him because he didn't have full payment. He was practically in tears from the pain and they sent him on his way. He begged them to help him. Terrible thing to do to a person in need.
