Great selection of food for a remarkable price. I have been disappointed with anything I've ordered. The loaded potato soup is amazing.

Let me begin this review by saying I am Newks biggest fan. Losing so many locations in the Memphis area was a TRAVESTY. So this review may be biased because I will accept no slander against my favorite restaurant. The portions? Perfect. I am so full from lunch and it was just a choose 2 with a cup or soup (bowl portions people!!!) and half of a chicken salad sandwich. The soup was delicious loaded potato soup and the sandwich was toasted to perfection as usual. The service? We had the nicest man take our order. We began getting drinks and another worker approached us saying our order was going to take a little while longer than expected and she offered us a complimentary cake, brownie, or rice crispy treat. It was such a nice touch considering I didn't even think the wait was any more than usual. Spectacular customer service and recognition. Covid took many things away from us including the famous Newks Salad Condiment Bar. But it is BACK BABY! In all its glory with the liquid sandwich potions, bread and butter pickles, Parmesan cheese, croutons, the works. I love snacking on pickles and croutons while I wait on my meal. Ambience? There's something nostalgic about the inside of a Newks. They haven't modernized the interiors to where you feel uncomfortable. It's a nice comfortable place to sit and have lunch or dinner with a friend you haven't seen in a while, while also providing the convenience of a quick meal if that's what you need. I love that you can self serve yourself drinks, napkins, etc. The Newks special cups are always fun to see the designs. I will continue to make a pit stop here at the last Memphis Newks when I am in the area. Thank you for having a spot with comfort food that I can bring my kids to! read more

My current fav is the salad and two pizza deal for $22. I got the Greek salad, on this deal it's only 3 salads to choose from Ceasar, Greek or something I can't remember. I got the Greek tonight, artichokes, red onion, cucumbers, tomatoes and Kalama olives. The dressings are so delish, I don't know if made in house or not but I had mine on the side, Greek n Ceasar dressing. My food was as expected and great value. read more

The Newks Q is great. Try the tomato basil soup. The pizzas, salads, and sandwiches are all really good. You really can't go wrong.

We've eaten at this new location on a few occasions. And each time we very much enjoyed it. My favorite is the Newks Q sandwich and the chicken tortilla soup. There's something about that white barbecue sauce that I very much enjoy. My wife generally gets the pesto chicken sandwich and the Greek salad. The food is always very tasty. You do order from the counter, but they bring the order to you. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The restaurant is generally clean as relevant decor. I love the fact that they give complementary breadsticks, pickles, peppers, and Parmesan cheese. I'm sure we'll be back, and if you haven't tried it yet, I recommend it. read more

Food and service are great, but they need more 2-top tables and fewer 4-tops, especially during the lunch rush. A lot of people come alone on their lunch break and there are often a dozen 4 person tables with only 1 person. And it's horribly awkward to sit at a relatively small table with a stranger. read more

What seemed to be a one off, "oops I forgot" has turned into an every visit thing. I used to come here every Sunday to get food for my family but after giving it 5 tries I think today's my last visit. Placing an order and then when you get it you have to ask them for the correct dressing you ordered or toppings are incorrect or I'm missing the add-on's like bread I ordered. It gets a little annoying especially seeing as the employee rings it up correctly but never actually checks to make sure the order is correct. They have great food, but if you're looking for a restaurant that gets it right - this isn't the place to dine. You will 100% have to ask them to include everything you ordered and check to make sure your to gos are correct. read more

Well just dropped in and well let's say I'm shocked ! Usually friendly courteous. This time the staff about 5-6 were talking no one at the counter. After 5 minutes we looked around hardly no one there and we were the only ones at the counter. This is our first bad experience so I'm going to give a try again soon. But holy cow there must have not been a manager there and the staff were not teenagers. Just a huge disappointment. read more

Rarely do I ever feel compelled enough to leave a review, but after this-- here I am. I often go to Newks and get the same order every time, but today's experience was a little bit different and pretty disappointing. I ordered the Newks q and when I received my sandwich it had plastic the size of the sandwich in it. Along with that there was zero white bbq sauce on it. I showed it to the workers and all I received back was the sandwich remade how it should've been served the first time. There was a lack of customer service and no apology or concern of the problem. Along with that no explanation as of why there was plastic in there anyway. Very disappointed and won't return. Asked to see manager but was standing at an empty counter for 5 minutes. Lady in front of me had to shout to get someone to the register. By then was finally able to speak to the manager and he was very dismissive of the situation and could only resolve the problem with a joke and offering a cookie. Extremely unsatisfied, change the name to Nukes. This place blows. read more

I was really surprised how good their bbq chicken pizza was. The Caesar salad was very good to. I wouldn't get the Italian sub again as it was on hard bread and I like the soft type of sub rolls. Also the shrimp salad was not the best. read more

I've never heard of Newk's until yesterday. Seems that they are a chain....assuming mostly in the south. The menu has a fantastic selection of soups, salads and sandwiches....but the one that caught my eye was the Po Boy...with shrimp that wasn't fried! Guess I was hungry...I wolfed it right down...along with my chosen side of black-eyed pea salad. Other side choices were chips, macaroni salad and a few other things that I didn't quite catch...but I'm in the south...so I felt obligated to suck down some black eyed peas. I really liked my sandwich! The bread was fresh and the ingredients were generous without being stupid. Really nice blend of seasoning and spices. Others at the table had pizza (just the right size for one person...nice looking thin-crust pizzas), and a variety of other sandwiches. Had a business lunch today at Newk's. I was craving soup. Went in for the Lobster & Crab bisque. I ordered a bowl and it was HUGE! The soup could have been a bit hotter (temperature wise) but it was yummy. Newk's is one of my regular places for lunch. This location is always on point and the food is always good. They are quick to take the order even when they are busy. The food always comes out with a smile. This is my favorite location in the area. read more
