Soggy, overdressed greens in a Greek salad.

This is an after-church stop for us. Two diners ordered Greek salad today, one with protein, one without. Mine without had so much dressing that a third of my salad was soggy before I could finish it. My main complaint is servers touching the lip edge of a cup or glass or the INSIDE of a serving dish. Two different servers brought salad bowls to the table, holding the bowls with their thumbs! Eewwwhhh! Trainers should be teaching servers NEVER to touch serving dishes in a manner that would transmit pathogens ... as in Food borne contaminants! We cordoned off the 'touched'/contaminated edge with bread sticks & avoided that portion of food but if they do it blatantly, they're unaware of best practices and the entire rim of the bowl may have been handled by the time it leaves the kitchen.

Italian sandwich and Pepperjack Crawfish soup. Good combo!

TL;DR review: Try the sandwich/soup lunch combo. Awesome. My workplace was going to have to work through lunches, and that usually means ordering food in. Early on, someone had decided Newk's, so I pored over the menu to make my selection, looking for something that might travel well. Soup and sandwich? Yes, thank you. So I decided on the Italian sammy and the Pepperjack Crawfish soup. When it arrived, it sat in the break room for about ten minutes before I could get back there to try it out. When I finally got back there, I had to go after the sandwich first, lest the bread become soggy. The bread was toasted, and to be honest, it must not have been still warm, or maybe it's served at room temperature, but the taste was phenomenal. It was a little spicy from the salami, which is my favorite thing about any deli meat. This sandwich was among the best I've had; I couldn't complain about a single thing. I was wondering how I could top that, then I tried the soup, which was still borderline hot. A little spicy; it could use more heat (for me), but still EVER so flavorful. Good to the bottom of the cup. Newk's might be a chain, but as long as they're able to duplicate my experience for everyone else and emphasize fresh ingredients in produts that taste like they were made by hand at a reasonable price, they're only going to get bigger. How could they not?

I am super disappointed in my salmon Caesar salad. The greens were all brown and wilted and gross. I couldn't even eat half of it. Save yourself the time and money and avoid this Newt's. They forgot to add the croutons lucky I grabbed some off the self serve bar. Unlucky for me they were stale. Also I asked for extra salad dressing that they forgot to add. Bad food!

My family loves newks because there is always something for everyone. I always get the newks favorite salad. I have to tell you I love this salad. It has fruit, nuts and chicken. It's always fresh and delicious. My sister always gets a pizza and they are light crisp and wonderful. The soups and sandwiches are always good. You get quite a bit of food for the money. I have always had good service at both locations and the restaurant is always spotless.

This was my first time visiting a Cheba Hut, and I have to admit, walking into a restaurant that is completely marijuana-themed is different, but honestly kind of fun. The vibe is unique, laid back, and memorable without feeling sketchy or over-the-top. The cashier was on the quieter side, but she was extremely polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful while ordering. Customer service overall was solid. Now for the food and pricing, this is where things get a little mixed. My total came out to $21.38 for an 8-inch sandwich, a drink, and a Goo Ball. At that price point, I expected something close to one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Unfortunately, while the flavor delivered, the portion-to-price ratio absolutely did not. I tried the Goo Ball first: Krispies, peanut butter, cocoa, honey, butter, and marshmallows rolled into a ball. Honestly? This thing was $3.59 worth of disappointment. It was bland, underwhelming, and somehow managed to taste like almost nothing despite all those ingredients. Maybe this hits differently if you're stoned, but for me it just wasn't worth the money at all. 2/10 For the sandwich, I ordered the "5-0": Smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, giardiniera peppers, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake, and house dressing. Food came out in about 9 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. Flavor-wise? The sandwich was actually really good. The meats and dressing worked well together, the bread was solid, and overall it tasted fresh and satisfying. I'd honestly give the flavor an 8/10. But the value? That's the problem. For a $12 sandwich, the portions felt skimpy: - 2 slices of pepperoni - 1 slice of bacon cut in half - 2 slices of salami - 1 slice of cheese - 1 tomato slice cut in half - maybe 1/8 of a pickle slice There was genuinely more lettuce than every other topping combined. It felt like a sandwich built to look full instead of actually being full. If this sandwich were priced around $8-9, I'd probably leave happy. But at $12+, I expected a much more generously stacked sub. Cheba Hut has a cool concept, clean restaurant, and tasty food, but the pricing versus portion size keeps this from being a place I'd regularly come back to. Great vibe, decent sandwich, disappointing value.

One of our friends (and a Little Rock native) recommended Boulevard Bread Company, and we're so grateful that we stopped to check this cute spot out! There are a few Boulevard locations in Little Rock, and while this one wasn't the most convenient to the highway, it was still open for lunch as we were driving through the city around 2:30 PM. I placed our order online from the road, so when we pulled in, our sandwiches were ready and waiting! I'm glad we did order ahead, as they were still pretty busy when we arrived. We grabbed a table and enjoyed our lunch inside the cafe. We split a couple of their signature sandwiches, and our favorite of the two was the pastrami. The rye bread pairs quite nicely with the roast beef. We also shared the turkey sandwich, which was good but not as memorable as the pastrami. I can confidently say that we'd make Boulevard our new go-to road trip stop in Little Rock! From the freshly baked bread and tasty sandwiches to the friendly service, this is a solid spot for lunch.
