Weird name. Great job…read more We have a fairly large driveway that has been in place for 20 years. The culvert got lifted up by a tree root about 6 years ago. It was up maybe 5-6 inches. Really hard to move the trash cans over. I had a company give me a quote to "fix" the hump two years ago. What I did not know was that their idea of a fix was to cut down to the culvert and squish it with their backhoe and then pave over the now-slightly oval culvert. (Those things are really tough.) Two years later, the hump was back and bigger than ever. The deal I thought I got was not such a deal. The driveway was also older and developing cracks everywhere. I was looking at looking at lots of repair OR a new top layer. That's when Patrick and his band of Irish brothers pulled up to make me such a deal since they were in the neighborhood anyway.... (You get the idea.) They had some ideas for the root problem andcwere cautious enough to worry about the mature trees on either side of the driveway. although we didn't sign up in December, we cut a deal in April (post-taxes). Yes, you should get ready to haggle over the price. They did a great job. On day, they freed the culvert and dug out the humongous root (6-10 in diameter) running the length of the culvert and the roots of an old cherry tree along another section, On day 2, they repaved everything. It looks great and no longer poses a walking hazard. What I especially appreciate is that they listened to what needed to be done and actually fixed the underling problems. I don't think I'll be seeing that hump again anytime soon.

Never thought I would admire my driveway so much, but I do. Goodlay did an awesome job, very happy.

Ernesto gave me a great quote and told us he would be back in two weeks to do it. Sure enough two weeks later, he did it, and all in one day. Perfectly done. Highly recommended!

He took over an hour to measure everything and sent me the lumber quote he received so that I was fully informed, then we talked labor. He would point out problematic areas (like rotting framing) and would ask me if I wanted to have it replaced rather than just covering it up with the new surface. He did an amazing job that had my mom's tenants and the neighbors complementing the work and I felt the price was very reasonable. Based on that job, I brought him out to take a look at my townhouse to possibly replace the siding and he suggested sanding, priming and painting instead due to the price of replacement. They sanded almost every square inch of it, primed it (in some areas twice) with a peeling paint primer that is like glue to fill in gaps and keep the rest of the old paint from peeling, and then put a double coat over everything. When they finished, I was surprised to find that they had power washed our patio, porch, and front half-height fence and even painted the fence though we never talked about doing any of that work. I felt compelled to pay him extra. Deck Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wELQYf0YGKY
