This was my first dental appointment since his passing and my first time going to the dentist alone. I was very emotional and nervous walking through the door. From the moment I walked in, Emmanuel at the front desk made me feel welcome and comfortable. The dental assistants, Kenia and Violeta, were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. Dr. Saood was compassionate, understanding, and took the time to make sure I felt at ease. When I became emotional and started to cry, everyone treated me with genuine kindness, grace, and care. I am self-pay, and I was pleasantly surprised by their affordable dental membership plan, which helps significantly with costs. I will be getting a dental implant to replace a broken tooth, two fillings, and teeth whitening, and I feel confident that I am in excellent hands. The office itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. They even offer a comfort menu with options like weighted blankets, noise-canceling headphones, neck pillows, and other amenities to help patients relax during treatment. Most importantly, I never felt pressured or upsold on services I didn't need, which has been my experience at some other dental offices. Instead, they focused on what was best for my dental health and made me feel respected, heard, and cared for. I highly recommend Smile Avenue to anyone, especially those who struggle with dental anxiety. They truly go above and beyond to make their patients feel comfortable and supported. Thank you, Emmanuel, Kenia, Violeta, and Dr. Saood, for making what could have been a very difficult first visit alone a positive and reassuring experience. I am truly grateful.

Avoid this facility, specifically Dr. Belivand. My experience here has been deeply unprofessional…read moreand hostile since day one due to her condescending attitude. During our appointment, a major hygiene failure occurred. The dental assistant put a hairnet over my son's hair, which had product in it, and then immediately attempted to work inside his mouth with those same gloves. While the assistant was polite and receptive when I corrected the cross-contamination risk, Dr. Belivand defensively interjected to challenge me. Once I stated the facts about the hair particles, she went silent, but then immediately retaliated by power-tripping over a "no phone" policy that was perfectly fine on our previous visit. When I requested a transfer to the male dentist at this location, the office chose to protect Dr. Belivand's ego over accommodating a patient. Today they called to cancel our upcoming Thursday appointment under the guise of a delayed flight and tried to push us out of the practice entirely. They would rather deny a child care and fabricate logistical excuses than hold an unprofessional doctor accountable for standard hygiene violations. I am glad they handled it this way because it saves me the trouble of ever returning to this dysfunctional office. Thank God there are several other dental offices in the Katy area that actually respect parents and prioritize basic patient care.

It is always nice when you find a good dentist. Sadly it's a nightmare when the dentist you have…read morecome to trust doesn't look out for you. Such is my wife's experience with Welch Dental. My wife reported some discomfort she was having with an upper left tooth with each of her 6 month cleanings beginning in December 2024. The same tooth had a large filling from perhaps 20 years ago. My wife informed me the tooth later cracked on the backside and she reported this to Welch Dental along with continued discomfort and sensitivity in June 2025. My wife informed me the dentist made no treatment recommendation and told her no action was needed in her continued 6 month cleanings. The same unfortunate scenario continued through her 6 month cleanings at Welch Dental up and until she experienced severe pain in this tooth last week. She had an emergency appointment with her periodontist who sadly informed her the tooth had a severe infection and couldn't be saved. And she will need to replace the tooth with a costly implant. My wife and I had a joint phone call this week with Dr. Ho of Welch Dental, which she and I found to be deeply saddening and frustrating, at the end of which my wife respectfully told Dr. Ho he showed no empathy or professionalism along with his clearly false statements and circle-talk to defend the obvious lack of care and attention Welch Dental had paid over the years to my wife's issue. When I asked Dr. Ho why no treatment was recommended he falsely claimed Welch Dental suggested my wife had declined such treatment when offered. My wife was flabbergasted by this lack of truth. No such treatment was ever recommended or offered. Dr. Ho continued to defend Welch Dental as they had previously referred my wife to a periodontist for review of her gums. The tooth in question had no concerning surrounding gum issues when my wife's tooth discomfort began. Dr. Ho tried to make the case the tooth was lost due to the surrounding gums. It is my wife and my belief the tooth was lost due to an infection in the tooth due to lack of proper attention and advice of the dentist. After all, she has a mouthful of teeth not lost due to her gums. My wife's normally very kind and understanding attitude was shaken by Dr. Ho's poor demeanor and lack of professionalism. She would have respected Dr. Ho's position even though she didn't agree with it if he had expressed any degree of understanding towards her situation. I only wanted to post this review so others don't experience the same unfortunate result we did with the Welch Dental group. We will take our dental business elsewhere.

I loved the dentist Dr Patel but the front staff and dental hygienist were horrible. The front desk clerk came to talk to me about my cleaning. The original quote was $890. I go to the dentist regularly and have no issues with bleeding gums or excessive tarter. They tell me they can remove the laser cleaning and get the cost down to $166but they refuse to do a normal cleaning that is covered by my insurance. They said there is bone loss and I need this deep scale cleaning. I am told this by first the front desk clerk, who I am pretty sure doesn't have a medical degree. She tells my dentist for the last 15 yrs should not have performed those regular cleanings that it is malpractice based on their findings. Again I have no infections, no bleeding gums, or abscesses no excessive tarter buildup. It was insane. I refused their upscale dental cleaning and went to a dentist who did the cleaning. They like my previous dentist did not see any issues with my gums and completed the cleaning without issue. These people are scammers. I will be watching for the dental claim to see if they charge my insurance. I will not be going back there.
