Dr. Saood was compassionate, understanding, and took the time to make sure I felt at ease. When I became emotional and started to cry, everyone treated me with genuine kindness, grace, and care. I am self-pay, and I was pleasantly surprised by their affordable dental membership plan, which helps significantly with costs. I will be getting a dental implant to replace a broken tooth, two fillings, and teeth whitening, and I feel confident that I am in excellent hands. The office itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. They even offer a comfort menu with options like weighted blankets, noise-canceling headphones, neck pillows, and other amenities to help patients relax during treatment. They do seem to stand by caring for their patients completely, and it seems like my experience was simply an anomaly. -------------------- I truly wanted to have a positive experience with this practice, but unfortunately, I've had several disappointing interactions that I feel are important to share--both as a fair warning to others and in hopes that the practice may be open to resolving the concerns. 1. Lack of transparency and follow-up on payment information -- I've requested copies of the payment forms I signed eight times (once in person, multiple times by email, phone, and voicemail). Despite this, I've still not received any documentation or clear communication around fees--for orthodontic and dental work. 2. Delayed and dismissive handling of records -- After my initial visit with Dr. To, I waited nearly two weeks for answers to my follow up questions, and then decided to request my dental records so I could transition to a new provider. When I followed up today, I was asked to "be patient and wait a few weeks." This felt dismissive, especially given I am in pain and actively seeking timely care. Given the premium pricing and the promise of a holistic, patient-centered approach, I expected a higher level of service, compassion, and professionalism. My wife reported some discomfort she was having with an upper left tooth with each of her 6 month cleanings beginning in December 2024. The same tooth had a large filling from perhaps 20 years ago. My wife informed me the tooth later cracked on the backside and she reported this to Welch Dental along with continued discomfort and sensitivity in June 2025. My wife informed me the dentist made no treatment recommendation and told her no action was needed in her continued 6 month cleanings. The same unfortunate scenario continued through her 6 month cleanings at Welch Dental up and until she experienced severe pain in this tooth last week. She had an emergency appointment with her periodontist who sadly informed her the tooth had a severe infection and couldn't be saved. And she will need to replace the tooth with a costly implant. My wife and I had a joint phone call this week with Dr. Ho of Welch Dental, which she and I found to be deeply saddening and frustrating, at the end of which my wife respectfully told Dr. Ho he showed no empathy or professionalism along with his clearly false statements and circle-talk to defend the obvious lack of care and attention Welch Dental had paid over the years to my wife's issue. When I asked Dr. Ho why no treatment was recommended he falsely claimed Welch Dental suggested my wife had declined such treatment when offered. My wife was flabbergasted by this lack of truth. No such treatment was ever recommended or offered. Dr. Ho continued to defend Welch Dental as they had previously referred my wife to a periodontist for review of her gums. The tooth in question had no concerning surrounding gum issues when my wife's tooth discomfort began. Dr. Ho tried to make the case the tooth was lost due to the surrounding gums. It is my wife and my belief the tooth was lost due to an infection in the tooth due to lack of proper attention and advice of the dentist. After all, she has a mouthful of teeth not lost due to her gums. My wife's normally very kind and understanding attitude was shaken by Dr. Ho's poor demeanor and lack of professionalism. She would have respected Dr. Ho's position even though she didn't agree with it if he had expressed any degree of understanding towards her situation. I only wanted to post this review so others don't experience the same unfortunate result we did with the Welch Dental group. We will take our dental business elsewhere.
