Even though it's my landlord's job, when one doesn't comply, you take the matter into your own hands and take action. I had told my son to go to this Ace Hardware store and look for a nice, new, white toilet seat. So, he went yesterday around 5pm, and was helped by a very nice employee. He can't remember his name. Ace has always been our go-to hardware store. Too bad they close early. We have one in Studio City, but the prices and selection were not vast and were a bit pricy. It truly varies from one location to the next. They also have sale/discounted items every now and then. So with that being said, he bought a new toilet seat. Exactly what I had in mind. White, comfortable and new. Not too comfortable, or else I would fall asleep on it:-)) Not joking. I was even thinking to get the one that is soft and has a cushion. Store was very clean, well organized according to their items and also fully stocked. All he paid was $42.00, not including tax. They have many other appliances for gardening, home, and also a nursery. I can go on and on and on. I am a loyal customer of Ace, and we have bought a lot of stuff form them for our house in the past. So now, I can sit on this toilet without thinking that I am going to fall in it. Buyer beware if you purchase a BBQ here…read more I purchased a Charbroil Commercial Series Grill and Griddle Combo where Lowe's will put it together and deliver to your home for free because the purchase price was greater than $400. Sounds good so far. They deliver my grill and the griddle has some kind of industrial grease on it. Please note that this is not part of seasoning the griddle as Lowe's does not preseason griddles before delivering. The delivery guys agree that this is strange and they take it back and arrange for another one to be delivered. The second grill and griddle show up with the exact same problem so I send it back again. I get a call from Lowe's asking for clarification on why I keep sending back the grills so I tell them and the rep says she will make a note in the system to make sure when they are putting the grill together that this problem does not happen a third time. Get a call a few days later that it must be a manufacturer's defect as all the the griddles have this exact same problem. Please note that as of a month later Lowe's still has this same BBQ on the floor for sale. I now have to completely cancel the order and get a refund but as multiple departments are involved I keep getting referred to someone else as the person to help me but that person keeps referring me back to the first person. After spending multiple days waiting for the delivery and time on the phone with them I have spend the better part of a day and I still don't have a BBQ. You would think that after all this someone at Lowe's management would call me and try to offer me a good deal on another BBQ but I have never heard anything from them.

The kiosk had my original key and was not releasing it. (Nor was it working to make my key) She, Ingrid, said, "That's not our machine, it's 3rd party" I asked her how I could get my key out of the machine? She said, "I don't know, it 3rd party" again. I asked her to get a manager. That never happened. I felt dismissed. I don't want anyone else to have this experience. If you want support, don't ask Ingrid and don't use the key kiosk.

While still on the phone with him, I go back to the website hoping he will offer a suggestion, and the link for the pump I called about shows that it is in stock 5 miles away and ask him why it is showing they have them if there aren't any in a "100 mile radius" he says "let me check....uhhh oh...yes they show that there are 3 in stock". Are you kidding me?? So apparently BOTH of these people were too lazy to actually check and see if there any in stock anywhere else? They need to do some serious customer service training here-these associates do NOT care about customers or sales.

Rodent xcluder fill fabric. If you ever manage to find anything of the sort, kudos to you! One of the sales people and I went isle after isle looking for it. For some reason, every body had a different opinion as to where it should be. Everybody agreed that they have it, no one including the computer were able to locate it. Prices are usually fair. Nevertheless, shopping here is one of the least pleasant activities I have to endure.

Sometimes I'll go to one of the more "convenient" home improvement chains, but 80% of the time after looking through aisles and aisles of cookie-cutter boxes of hardware designed for contractors I will come up empty handed and head over to Franklin's wondering why I didn't just start here. I have always, ALWAYS, found the hardware I need, no matter how obscure the screw, nut, or fitting, at Franklin. Tiny brass screws to fix an antique clock? They'll have it. "Euro" style screws that came with your cheap Ikea cabinet? They'll have it. A bushing for a kitchen appliance that is an odd size... they will have it. Additionally the folks who work here are super friendly and helpful! Another reason why anyone looking for anything a hardware store carries should start here. There is a small parking lot in the back, and metered parking on the street. They are an "Ace" hardware franchise so if you need to pick up an order from the Ace website this is a location that you can select (I've done this several times). They also do re-screening, and knife sharpening. It's truly one of the last remaining neighborhood hardware stores and I can't recommend it highly enough.
