Totally overpriced. Needed a Wilkins 600 3/4 PRV, they quoted me for 200+$ OTD, but on Amazon the exact same thing was only $82.08/- delivered. And Hirsch has a 25% restocking fee for any returns regardless of size. RIDICULOUS!! This is why local stores are quickly running out of business. They refuse to adapt!

We hired this team for a major structural renovation--adding a loft in our high-ceiling living…read moreroom, building a wet bar underneath it, and replacing our kitchen's back door and window with a beautiful bifold door. (Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend them!

I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. Orel was caring and his experience was invaluable, Roman, (drywall, moldings, paint, flooring) Carlo (beautiful tile work) and Abnir were all professional, caring and kind. My remodel was reasonable and fast. I definitely recommend Preferred and I already have.

The product did not arrive in retail packaging so it was really tough to know which was what. I had to take everything back to the showroom and my rep set down and wrote on each and every single piece what it was. Turned out that I've ended up ordering a few things wrong and needed to return them...Now, returning items is even a bigger headache..,you have to get a shipping label from them and start shipping different things back to their different locations. That was not acceptable to me so I returned the product back to the showroom and ask my rep to take care of the returns for me. It took over 3 weeks for me to receive the refunds which was pretty upsetting. In the meantime, I've checked with a different national distributor the prices on everything I've purchased and it turned out that I've paid about $2000 too much in comparison to what it would have cost me had I've purchased the same product from them. Needless to say: Very bad system, extremely over priced, and I will not be buying here again.

Purchasing an entire suite of new appliances, sinks, faucets and hardware is a stressful and daunting task. Both of these knowledgable ladies worked with me through in person meetings as well as via email to ensure my products met my design needs and construction specifications. And yes, hard copies were provided for me to pass along to the trades people doing the work. Delightful may seen to be an odd word for such an experience but I felt heard and all of my questions and concerns were professionally handled in a timely - often expedited - manner. I wholeheartedly recommend Valley Counter Fitter (VCF) based on their excellent customer service…read moreand the finished product. Here's how my experience has been with them. We've been renovating our bathrooms and have been looking for something that's unfortunately quite out of style and thus hard to find: integrated countertops. Integrated countertops are awesome for cleaning because the sinks are seamlessly embedded in the countertop. There are no rims for the muck nor the soap to get stuck against. They are very hard to shop for, for two reasons: few places still offer them, and while a lot of design options are available across several brands (namely Corian, Wilson-Art and Hi-Macs), only a few samples at a time are usually available. Regarding the vendor options near Los Angeles, it pretty much boils down to Home Depot, VCF, and a third place that never returned my calls. After investigating Home Depot, it became apparent that they are using a third party named Block Tops, which is getting so-so reviews. I called Block Tops several times, only managed to speak with their sales rep once, and could never get anyone to return my calls, so that was the end of that. In complete contrast, VCF was easy to reach and Daniel, their office manager, returned my calls every time. Regarding the options, VCF has a lot of samples to help you visualize your countertop; many more than I've seen at Home Depot. They also have a lot more sink options, which is really important for integrated countertops. It is really worth driving to their workshop for that, and to visualize all the way they can finish the edge of the countertop. Moreover, Daniel has deep subject matter expertise and is able to help based on your requirements. He's very patient and willing to answer all your questions, down to how they put together the countertop. He can give you a quote on the spot, and advise on how to keep your cost down. Note that VCF also offers the other, more popular materials, like granite, etc. Process-wise, it takes a few weeks for Daniel to come over and measure your cabinet. Then another three weeks for the installer to return and do the work. What I loved about Daniel was his commitment to customer satisfaction. Our first order was for a 72" vanity countertop with dual sinks, and one sink was slightly out of alignment. I notified Daniel, sent a few pics, and immediately (and without any need to argue) Daniel told me he would make it right. Note that this required coming over, removing the countertop, ordering an entire new slab, working it, etc. In the process, Daniel also allowed us to switch material for the countertop and also the sinks. The man is amazing. We've had our new countertops for a few months now. No problem to report. We love them, and we love how easy they are to maintain. In my opinion, they imitate natural stone so well, and there a so many options, it's a bit baffling to me that people bother with other options, but to each its own. What's sure is that I will be going straight to VCF next time I need countertops, which will probably be for my kitchen.
