Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk today was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an appointment last Friday for today at 10:30 AM. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in, and waited. After some time, I was told by the receptionist that I did not have an appointment. I explained that I had called to schedule it and even showed my phone records as proof. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or look into what may have gone wrong, she repeatedly insisted that I did not have an appointment. When I suggested she check with the staff member who handled scheduling that day, she dismissively stated she didn't need to "have a conversation about something that never happened." At that point, the situation became less about the appointment and more about her approach. Her tone was condescending and unprofessional. When she said, "Anyways, so you were supposed to have an appointment at 10:30?" it felt dismissive and disrespectful--especially given that I was calmly trying to explain and provide proof. As a medical professional of 14 years, I understand that scheduling errors can happen. However, how those situations are handled is what matters. I would never speak to a patient this way, especially in a healthcare setting where empathy and professionalism should be the standard. Because of this interaction alone, I chose to leave and not proceed with the appointment. It's very unfortunate, bc I genuinely think highly of Dr. Danek, but this experience with the front desk staff is enough for me to not return again unless it's rectified.

I had been to several consultations before I met with her, but I knew she was the one within 30 seconds of meeting. She was very clear and reasonable about my anticipated results. She listened to what I wanted and clarified what was realistic. I appreciated her honesty and it gave me a better understanding of what to expect. I scheduled the surgery with her nurse, Katie, (who is also phenomenal) and saw Dr. Cobbins a few weeks later for my preoperative appointment. I genuinely felt she was as excited as I was. She was very clear about what to expect the day before surgery, day after surgery, and follow-up instructions. She answered every single question and was available by phone, if I had any additional questions after I left. The day of surgery, I felt incredibly supported by Dr. Cobbins and Katie who have excellent bedside manner. I remember waking up after surgery with Katie sitting by me and I felt so relieved. The receptionists even entertained my mom while she was waiting for me to be discharged and I appreciate the kindness. I saw both of them again a few days later and Dr. Cobbins even met me on the weekend (when their office is technically closed) to remove the drain. The results were nothing less than perfect. I was so pleased with their size and shape, plus the scarring seems really minimal. Dr. Cobbins has also continued to follow-up consistently and has been available for additional questions/concerns. I don't think I will be able to express how much I appreciate her and her staff. Don't go to any other surgeon!

This is the first time I'm writing a review on my procedure. Six years ago I had a skinny bbl done…read moreby Dr Lorri Cobbins. I was naive at the time but I really wanted a little bit added to my bottom so I went in for a consult. I was also really skinny (like model skinny) so even then she told me oh yeah I've had patients your size or smaller do procedures by me, I wish she rejected me or at least did a less risky procedure since her skills didn't match the words I heard. My body was so perfect in every way before this procedure (just wanted a little boost on my bottom). I remember I said "I heard some peoples shoulders get bigger she was like "Oh no that's not true at all." She did Lipo to my stomach which barely had much fat, inner thighs, and back. Anyways 6 yrs later and I'm struggling with my body image. I've lost my confidence, my skinny bbl doesn't look great, can't find a solution because I have skin laxity on my back and stomach, scarring/tethering (again this is from the aggressive lipo she did and how she used the surgical tools), Lipo fibrosis on stomach and back and yes the upper back looks bigger. I followed all the instructions of wearing the compression garment and everything. The problem wasn't the aftercare instructions I perfectly followed, the problem was the poor surgical technique. She did aggressive lipo on me, took out too much fat because I was thin and ruined the look of my skin. I now have 2 rolls on my back that I never had before my procedure and I feel always bloated for some odd reason no matter what I eat healthy or not even though my diet didn't change. I only gained about 10 pounds (still at a weight women would love) but even with that if the surgical skills were good the body would grow out nice and even, it wouldn't look botched. I wish she rejected me and told me to come back in a year or 2 if I want something permanent after I try something temporary. I wish she told me thoroughly and openly what kind of problems can come up (this was only briefly discussed and none of the problems I have now were discussed as potential issues after surgery). I wish she gave me a temporary option or smaller procedure not as damaging as a first solution to see what it would look like. I didn't receive any other options. I think plastic surgeons (especially ones who've had botched outcomes from their work) need to give a couple options and really think about if the contouring will look nice with each option so the patient can have a good long term outcome and more people will trust them for procedures. Dr. Cobbins took away the most thing that made me confident back then and damaged my body. I am struggling in every way imaginable because of this procedure done by Dr. Lorri Cobbins. The most perfect parts of my body were ruined because of horrible surgical technique and now I am left grieving it. I struggle every day to look for a way to fix it and I'm too afraid to go to someone else that may further damage me. I don't take photos anymore like I used to, I don't try on clothes when I shop like I want to. I can't look at myself in the mirror the same way. Please if you want a better/different look try temporary cosmetic things first so they go away if you don't like them and you don't have to live with the permanent result of a botched procedure.

She was very realistic but also open with me and what I wanted. I always felt taken care of and like I could ask questions. She did a wonderful job addressing my partner's questions too since he would be helping with my aftercare. There was a minor complication that developed preventing my right side from dropping as it should, and Dr. Cobbins was very supportive and proactive about doing a crease revision and I was only charged a partial fee for the anesthesiologist, for the procedure 3 months after my original BA. Dr. Cobbins is approachable, realistic and caring. I had another consultation (NSPS) before deciding on Aesthetic Institue of Chicago and they wanted to charge me more, didn't really listen to me and talked down to me, trying to push me towards an incision style I did not want. I was able to tell Dr. Cobbins what I wanted, she told me what she thought would fit best and I ended up going one size below my maximum. My results are very natural looking but help me finally fill out clothing the way I wanted to. Getting this surgery and having such a supportive surgical team and doctor helped me finally have the confidence I had been searching for over many years. I went wedding dress shopping about three months ago and were it not for my surgery, I don't think I would have enjoyed the experience as much as I did nor felt as good in my dress.

I was apprehensive in the beginning but MS. CHERRIE was very nice every time I called. Because of the Covid19 situations, I wasn't able to make a final decision on whom Doctor to trust (out of 20+ on my lists) and to get a NOSTRIL REDUCTION SURGERY. Finally, I made a decision and I decided to choose DR. ELIAS GIKAS for the following reasons; 1) I considered his expertise as a plastic surgeon so credible through the years of his experience, specialty, and professionalism. 2) The professional fee is extremely affordable and competitive compared to other clinics in the field. 3) Last but not least, Ms. Cherie played a very important part in his office to welcome clients for being friendly, helpful, and professional. FINALLY, I gave my TRUST to Dr. Elias Gikas to change the most important part of my face which is my nose. My appointment was made after I completed the mandatory requirement to get a Covid19 test within 72 hours of testing and surgical procedures. I was negative of Covid19 (of course) and the surgery was DONE INDEED! During the procedure, Dr. Elias Gikas absolutely got my confidence when he said "I AM A PERFECTIONIST". After the procedure, I told him and Cherie "If the result is good, I will come back and bring you guys a bottle of champagne for each of you". Surgery took over 5 hours, which is outrageous for a rhinoplasty, and he used nonsensical techniques. (My revision surgery was only an hour and a half). I had an overprojected nose and not only did he not deproject my nose, he placed a large septal extension graft, which I later learned is what was making my nose stick out so far and continue to feel so hard 5 years after surgery. I'm grateful I was able to restore a natural feeling in my tip and columella after my revision with a different doctor. The septal extension graft was very bulky, which was weighing down my columella and causing it to droop. I had an overprojected tip, bulky tip, and droopy columella before surgery and none of those were corrected... only worsened. On top of that, my airflow through the left side was worsened! My breathing was perfectly fine before surgery! My original nose was very wide, and while he did make my nose more narrow, my turbinates were left enlarged which is what made my breathing worse. I had two consultations with other facial plastic surgeons before getting my revision done, and both doctors were shocked looking inside my nostrils, both asking me how I was able to breathe. Both sides were basically collapsed with the right side being "almost closed", I was told by my revision doctor. Word of advice from experience, if you have a big nose that will be made smaller, it is worth at least asking the doctor if your turbinates should be reduced. In my case, they should have been. It doesn't make sense anyway to narrow the nose and leave the turbinates disproportionately large. Another huge issue after surgery was my nostril asymmetry, with a noticeable notch on the left alar rim from the front view. The entire thing from the inside/out was completely unattractive. I got a revision rhinoplasty with a different doctor after 5 years of dealing with these issues, and $22k+ later I finally have the nose of my dreams. Writing this brutally honest review so you don't have to waste your time or money. You're welcome.
